Drinks

~Ladies~

"This is stupid." Elsa mumbled as she swirled her drink. The wives planned on meeting each other at a stupid bar down the street from Anna's house. Elsa thought it was completely idiotic to bring Anna there. She was pregnant and it's not safe to drink while carry a baby. This was just taunting her.

"No, it's not. It will be fun!" Anna smiled. For once, she didn't feel sweaty and gross. She felt happy and excited. It would be like old times again. Just a bunch girl friends hanging out, having drinks. Only this time, Anna wasn't going to drink.

The bell on the door rang, bringing everyone's attention to the ladies entering the bar. Elsa and Anna smiled, looking at their friends. A couple of guys hit on them, not knowing they were married. They marched past them, not wanting to even deal with them. "Hey!" Rapunzel waved as she took a seat beside Anna.

"How's it going?" Elsa asked as Merida took a seat beside her. Merida shrugged her shoulders and placed her wallet on the table.

"Oh, you know. Change this diaper, feed them that. It's a blast." Merida groaned as the group lightly chuckled, knowing what she was going through.

"So, how did you get out of the house?" Anna asked Rapunzel. Everyone knew that Rap's children were clingy to her, so getting other of the house must have been insane. Rapunzel bit her lower lip and moved her hands up and down.

"I might have sort of snuck out in Eugene's truck. Then I called him and told him I was leaving so he couldn't pin me with any kids." She chuckled. Everyone looked at her with wide eyes. She snuck out of her own home?

"Wow, sounds exciting." Elsa softly chuckled. Rapunzel nodded head and called the bartender over. She was ready to get hammered. So couldn't ever remember the last she was drunk and having fun.

Each woman ordered a strong drink, besides Anna, of course. They quickly slammed them, loving the taste of freedom. "God, this is great." Merida groaned as she tossed her head back. Everyone joined in, agreeing with her.

"For once, I don't have a child begging me to hold them." Rapunzel added. Everyone sighed, thinking about how wonderful it felt to not having children screaming and crying in their ears.

"And telling you that they're hungry." Anna said. They all nodded except Elsa. She really didn't know what that was like. She didn't even have anyone livings with her since Jack split around two years ago.

"Or bored." Merida said.

"What's it like being a mother?" Elsa asked, looking at her tired friends. They become quiet, staring at their empty glasses.

"For me, it's been difficult. I've never really been the 'motherly' type. I've always a been a 'every man for himself' type. So taking care of tiny people was a huge step. But after a while, it's nice." Merida said. Everyone nodded, knowing what she was trying to say.

"At least you don't have three children constantly calling for you at every minute everyday!" Rapunzel complained. "'Momma do this!' 'Momma do that!' 'Daddy says this!' I can't even have five minutes in the bathroom to myself!" She exclaimed.

"Exactly! The only time I get alone is in the bathroom!" Anna agreed. The mothers quickly started blabbering to each other about how great this felt again. Elsa quietly sat, twirling her straw in her drink. Why didn't she have any kids?

"At least you don't have a crumbling marriage." Elsa softly mumbled. They quickly stopped their yammering and looked at the blonde. She was leaned over, ruining her perfect posture. A small frown was plastered on her face.

"Oh, Elsa," Rapunzel began, laying a hand on her back. Elsa quickly swatted it away. She didn't want to touched. She slightly shook her head as she wiped away a tear that was starting its trek down her cheek.

Rapunzel knows that Elsa doesn't like sharing her feelings. She knows that she likes her space, but it was just a natural instinct to comfort anyone feeling sad. "Elsa, can you talk to us, please?" Rapunzel continued, listening to her instincts.

"You guys wouldn't understand." Elsa softly scoffed. All of their marriage were tightly knit together. Nothing could ever tear the couples apart. Elsa's, well, her's was ruined a year afterwards. She didn't even know what happened.

"Can you at least try to explain?" Anna asked. Elsa had recently been shutting Anna and Kristoff out, and it was scaring her. She hadn't done that since their parents died and it took years for Elsa to finally come back out. Anna didn't want to lose her sister again.

Elsa sighed and looked at the group. Elsa knew she could trust them, but she didn't want to ruin the mood. As she glanced at each of their comforting faces, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Jack and I have slowly been drifting apart." She frowned.

"Do you know why?" Merida asked. She wanted to get to the point. Maybe if Elsa knew why, they could help her pull her marriage back together.

Elsa slowly shook her head. "I haven't got a clue." She whispered. She wiped underneath her eyes, not wanting to ruin her makeup. Rapunzel and Anna quickly wrapped her in a hug. They wanted her to feel safe and secure.

"We'll figure out how to get everything back to normal." Anna said as she brushed her big sister's hair out of her face. Anna had always been jealous of Elsa's natural beauty. She looked good in anything and made any guy's jaw drop. She was the definition of perfect.

"Normal is me being alone. That's why I'm telling you girls this now. I've filed for divorce." Elsa confessed. She knew this felt wrong, but Jack hasn't even been living with her in years. They've hardly even communicated.

"Oh, Elsa-" Merida began, about to protest. Elsa couldn't give up this easily, not when she was so close.

"My decision has been made and you can't change my mind." Elsa stated, holding her hand up. She didn't want to listen to their pleas. She had her mind made and that was final.

The girls stopped, knowing Elsa didn't want to talk about it anymore. They looked back at their drinks, unsure what to say. Their night for freedom wasn't turning out like they planned. "At least you've got money." Rapunzel mumbled.

They turned and looked at the petite blonde. She was slouched over, her head in her hand. The girls furrowed their eyebrows, confused. "Rapunzel, what are you talking about?" Merida asked.

"Ever since I stopped working, we've been short on cash. Every paycheck we get is just enough to pay the bills. If Eugene doesn't get paid on time, there's a chance of us not having meal. I mean, look at us. We haven't been working out, we've been taking smaller portions so the kids can eat." She confessed. Rapunzel hadn't told anyone. Eugene and her swore to never tell a soul, especially their parents. They didn't want pity, but maybe it was the alcohol or the sense of security that let it slip.

"Rap, why didn't you tell us?" Anna asked. If she would have known, she could have helped her out by slipping a few dollars to her friend. No one deserves to live like that.

"I don't know." Rapunzel lied as she rubbed her arm. She knew her friends needed to know, but it was embarrassing. Who wants to be known as the family who can barely support themselves?

"How are the kids taking it?" Merida asked. She figured the kids had no clue anything was going on, but their kids were clever. They could read people's emotions easily, knowing how to get their way.

"I'm guessing they don't know. Each time the power company's turned off our power, we just told them the power lines were down. I mean, what else can say so they won't freak out?" Rapunzel softly sniffed. Tears had begun to trickle down her chubby cheeks. They couldn't image what she was going through. Sure, families are usually low on cash when they have three little kids, but never this short.

"Rapunzel, I'd be glad to lend you some money. I have plenty to spare that's just laying around in my home. I could-" Elsa began.

"I don't want your money," Rapunzel spat. The group stiffened, surprised by her sudden change in tone. Rapunzel read their emotions, quickly changing back. "It's just that we can take care of ourselves. It will just take a little more work."

The group looked at each other, unsure what to say. Anna and Elsa wanted to offer again, but from the look on Merida's face, they knew when to shut their mouths. Merida knew that Rapunzel wanted to do this by herself. Being given money wasn't going to make her feel better. She wanted to know that she saved her family, but if things started to go sour, Merida was going to be the first one to help, and it wasn't going to be with lending money.

"Hiccup has become a little distance, if I'm going to be honest here." Merida frowned. Merida had been pretending that it hadn't been happening, but he was hardly home anymore. He would leave at 7 and come home at 10:30. He was never away for that long, and it didn't only happen on the weekends.

"What?" Anna asked. Hiccup didn't seem like the type of guy who would just leave his children alone for that long of time. From what Anna could tell, Melissa was a very curious girl and Hiccup had all the answers. Surely he would want to be home to share his knowledge.

Merida sighed and ran her hand through her thick, curly hair. She wasn't going to bring this up, but it seemed as if everyone else was confessing their problems, she might as well share her's. "He's always out and it feels like he always bringing her up. I mean, I'm probably being overprotective, but it just scares me." Merida softly chuckled.

Elsa looked at her with sympathy. She knew what Merida was going. It feels like they don't want to be around you anymore. It feels like they've outgrown you and left you behind. But Elsa knew Hiccup would never do that. "Merida, I'm sure it's just your imagination. Hiccup has probably been busy with school. The year is almost over and the teachers have probably been going out to dinner together." She offered.

"Yeah! He probably just doesn't bring you along since you hate fancy dinners and he knows you would hate to bring a one month with you." Rapunzel added with a gentle smile. Merida returned it and realized she was just overthinking it, but something in her gut was telling her to watch out for her. Now one could tell when she would strike again.

~Guys~

"Thanks, Kristoff." Eugene smiled as he opened his can of beer. Since the women went out for a surprise girl night, the guys decide to have their own party. Kristoff invited everyone to his house, since it was the biggest of the four. The children were allowed to run around like crazy as the guys just chatted it up.

"No problem. Besides, Kristen needed someone to play with." He chuckled as his beer sizzled open. For once, he was playing babysitter. Whenever Kristen was with other children, she didn't feel the need to have him around all the time. He could just watch.

"Jack's coming, right?" Eugene asked as the boys ran past him screaming at the top of their lungs. They thought this was a great night. They were out of their house and inside a 'mansion'. Well, that's what Zach called it.

"I invited him, doesn't mean he'll come." Kristoff said. He had always liked Jack. He was a fun loving guy who brought out Elsa's good side. When those two started to split, she became more involved with her business and left family behind.

"Yeah, Jack's been very unpredictable these days." Eugene said as he fixed Rosie's hair. He sat her on the table, where she was content. She wasn't really comfortable with crawling yet, which was surprising. The boys were crawling and rolling by now, but they figured it best not to push her.

The door bell rang and Sven began to bark like crazy. Kristoff excused himself to open the door. He was greeted to Hiccup and his two children. He led them to the kitchen, showing him what room he could put the sleeping baby and gave him a monitor.

Eugene felt a tap on his leg. He looked down, expecting to see Zach or Bastian, but was surprised to see a little redhead. She looked like a carbon copy of her mother but with sparkling green eyes. "Where are the other kids?" She asked.

Eugene softly laughed, surprised. She wasn't the least bit shy. She had her bow firmly grasped in her right hand and a pack of arrows on her back. She looked ready for a battle. "They should be coming down this hall any minute." He said as the sound of their stomping feet rumbled from across the house.

Suddenly, the herd came into view. They had Sven and Olaf chasing them as they shouted and cried in excitement. Melissa stepped in front of them. They all skidded to a halt, trying not to crash into her. "I'm playing." She declared.

Bastian groaned and walked to the front of the group. "Who said?" He asked. Eugene cleared his throat and glared at his son. When Bastian realized his father was watching, he quickly smiled and nervously chuckled. "I mean, what do you want to be?" He asked, looking at his dad.

Eugene nodded his head and went back to playing with Rosie. Bastian sighed and let Melissa be whatever she wanted, just as long as she knew he was the leader. As quickly as they stopped, they ran back around the house. "Melissa find the kids?" Hiccup asked as he and Kristoff came back into the kitchen.

"Oh, yeah. She fit right in with the boys." Eugene chuckled. It was nice to finally be out of the house and the office. He held Rosie on his lap, not wanting her to fall since she was moving daringly close to the edge.

"Good. Merida and I have been worried that she wouldn't." Hiccup said as Kristoff handed him a drink. For once, he didn't have the pressure of correcting papers on his shoulders. He finished everything before he came, which was easy since Henry was asleep.

"Why?" Kristoff asked. Hiccup shrugged his shoulders and took a drink.

"Merida and I never really grew up well with others. We're hoping our kids aren't the same case." Hiccup said. Melissa was the perfect combination of Hiccup and Merida, which was good and bad. She was interested in the same things as them, which was nice. But she also acted like them, which meant she was probably a large target from other children.

"Well, the boys took well to her, so I wouldn't worry." Eugene said as he tickled the bottom of Rosie's foot. She giggled, tossing her head back. Her blonde pigtails stuck off the side of her head and her green eyes were sparkling.

A knock was heard and Kristoff went to open it again, but this time he brought back an uncertain Jack. He walked in with his hands stuffed his pockets, looking around at the place. It had changed since they had their daughter. Princess toys and tiny shoes littered the floor. Walls were covered in pictures of the family. "Hi, Jack." Hiccup greeted.

Jack and Hiccup had stayed in touch over the years, especially when things started to go sour with him and Elsa. They would catch up and have drinks with each other after work, but after a while, Jack stopped wanting to go out. Hiccup never really knew why, but he figured Jack just wanted to be alone. "Hey." He mumbled back.

"You look so glum. Have a drink!" Kristoff cheered as he slid a can to Jack. Jack looked up at his brother-in-law, unsure what to do. He didn't really plan on staying long, but these guys were his friends. They were his few friends nowadays. Maybe he should stop and talk.

"Thanks." Jack softly smiled as he cracked open his can. He listened to the sound of feet stomping above him. He looked up, thinking that maybe the ceiling would fall through.

"Those kids are loud." Hiccup said. He was thankful that Melissa wasn't getting into trouble, yet. I mean, hopefully she wouldn't get into trouble and break something.

"Really? Sounds quiet to me and Rosie." Eugene laughed as Rosie wrapped her hand around his finger. He took another drink from his beer, thinking about how nice it was having another level in the house. Maybe someday his family would have that.

"God, it must loud all the time." Jack chuckled. The thought of having two boys and a baby in one house made him want to cringe. Things would be loud and exciting. It would be annoying and also entertaining.

"I'm usually at work, but when I get home they're rowdier than a bunch of animals." Eugene said. Rosie babbled in agreement. Their house was never silent except when everyone was sleeping.

"Work. I swear that's all I ever do anymore." Kristoff mumbled, shaking out his long locks. He was never home anymore, especially when the weather was nice. It was perfect to get things done, but he'd rather go home and see his girls.

"Tell me about it. All day I spend at the school. I see plenty of children, but never my own." He sighed, swirling his drink with his hand. He was always there finishing papers. It seemed like after he corrected one, two more appeared in its place.

"Work is so boring! Taylor's gone, my father is training me to the next business owner, and nothing happens there anymore!" Jack complained as he spin around on his chair, leaning his head back.

"At least you probably get home at a reasonable time." Kristoff said, watching his brother-in-law spin in circles. Jack stared at the ceiling and began to groan. Everyone thought he was going to be sick.

Jack grabbed the table suddenly and sat straight up. He looked into Kristoff's eyes. He was a little bit annoyed. "Yeah, except there's nothing to do there either! I don't have kids to come home to. I don't even have a pet!" He exclaimed. His home was almost, if not more, boring than the office.

"What do you do then?" Eugene asked. When he lived on his own, he shared an apartment with Elijah, his twin. Sure, they hated each other's guts and the longer they lived with each other the worse it got. But at least it was sort of entertaining trying to annoy the shit out of his 'older' brother.

"Watch makeup tutorials and practice on myself," Jack answered. The guys sent him a digested face. What was happening to Jack? Jack shook his head and dropped his jaw. "Watch movies and sports, you dorks! Why would I ever watch tutorials, let alone about makeup?"

"We don't know what you do!" Hiccup defended. He didn't know what Jack did in his free time, and quite frankly, he didn't really want to know. Jack was an interesting character.

"It's called sarcasm! Ever heard of it?" He asked.

"Nope. I mean, it's not like I use that everyday." Eugene replied. Jack looked at him unimpressed as Eugene tried not to let his smile slip. Eugene always used it around home. Even the kids began using it and Rap hated it. She thought they were growing up rude.

"Not funny." Jack stated.

"Was that sarcasm?" Kristoff teased, pretending to be stupid. Jack glared at him, beginning to hate himself for bringing up the subject. He should have known that they would play this out forever.

Suddenly, the trail of footsteps pounded down the stairs and into the kitchen. Two little brunette hairs ran past the adults, pushing their legs out of the way. They had to get to their dad. "Daddy!" Zach began to cry.

"What?" He tiredly asked. Knowing the boys, this was going to be another stupid argument. But he decided to listen, knowing that everything was always important to a child.

"Bastian won't let me play with him!" Zach tattled. The kids were playing well together when suddenly, Bastian and Melissa were gone, leaving Kristen and him alone. He ran around upstairs trying to find them, but they wouldn't let him in a room. They said that they didn't want to play with 'babies.'

"Bastian, is this true?" Eugene sighed, looking at his little carbon copy. Bastian began to shake his head, and that's when Eugene knew a long argument would break out. The boys usually got along, but when they got into fights, they never ended well.

"Daddy, Zach can play with us, but he just can't sit on the bed! That where me and Melissa have our toys and we don't want him and Kristen breaking them!" Bastian argued.

Eugene tossed his head back, thinking about what he should do. Rapunzel would tell them to let Zach in the room and play with them. But Rapunzel wasn't here. Eugene knew what it was like having an annoying sibling follow you everywhere. But it wasn't fair to keep them out. "Bastian, you'll have to find a toy for Zach and Kristen and let them play with you."

"But that's not fair! Kristen already broke a toy!" He argued. He couldn't believe his father's commands. They were unfair. He didn't want to play with his little brother right now. He was all over him, making him upset.

"Daddy, she did. I watched her." Zach butted in. Eugene groaned and rolled his eyes. He bent down and picked up Zach and placed him on his lap. He left Rosie on the table, knowing that if she ventured too far, one of the guys would stop her.

"Zach, why don't you stay down here for a little while? Then when I think that it's time for you to play with you brother, I'll let you back upstairs." Eugene offered. Zach began to squirm, not happy with this option.

"Daddy!" He began to whine.

"Don't cry, Zachary Eugene." Eugene sternly replied. The boys knew not to disobey their father. Whenever they did something they knew not to do, they got their punishment. It was usually a spanking and a long scolding. They never do it again.

"Okay, Daddy." He replied, giving into his father's wishes. He nicely sat on his lap, not wanting to upset him more. Besides, he liked his dad anyways. Maybe if he behaved his dad would let him go upstairs faster.

"Thank you." Eugene smiled. He shooed Bastian back upstairs. Before long, both Zach and Rosie were fast asleep, bored with not being played with. Eugene laid them on the couch, glad that they weren't making the house a mess.

Jack stretched and looked at his phone. It was late and he had to go to work on Saturday. He figured he should head home to get some sleep. He also wanted to avoiding seeing Elsa again. "Well, I should probably get going. Busy day tomorrow!" He smiled. He hopped off his chair and grabbed his light jacket.

"Come on, Jack! It's Friday!" Eugene persisted. He didn't want all his friends to leave. This was the first time in years he didn't feel stressed and he was actually having a good time. He was finally with his friends again.

"Yeah, Jack! Just a little longer!" Hiccup said. He liked having Jack out of the house. Jack liked to stay cooped up if he didn't have anything going on, which was rare. He either spent his night with Hiccup or Taylor.

"Sorry, fellas." Jack chuckled. He couldn't remember the last time someone wanted him to stay longer. That was years ago, back when they were all close and on the show. The show, that was fun to Jack.

Before Jack could reach the handle, it began to jiggle. He backed up, figuring it was Anna coming home after her night out. He knew she would be pissed if he was in her house since he wasn't living with Elsa anymore. He ran back into the kitchen and hid behind Kristoff. "What are you-"

"Hid me!" He commanded. Suddenly, the sound of heels and giggles wandered down the hall. Everyone came back to Anna's house to have a nice conversation away from the loud music and guys gawking all over them.

"Hi, boys!" Rapunzel greeted as she entered the house. Everyone waved back, trying not look nervous. They didn't want to be here when Jack and Elsa met again. After their night at the restaurant, they didn't want to see what happen now.

"Hey, Blondie!" Eugene nervously smiled. She raised an eyebrow, knowing her husband too well. Before he could explain, her jaw dropped. She raised her hand, pointing at the cowering Jack. He raised his finger, shushing her to keep his secret. "Don't worry, the baby is sleeping over here." Eugene stated as he dragged his awestruck wife into the living room.

"Okay. That was weird." Anna chuckled. Usually Rapunzel wasn't that worried about Eugene watching the kids. Rap looked like she saw a ghost. Anna walked over and gave her husband a kiss. The guys let out a little whimper, hoping she didn't see Jack.

Anna stopped and paused. Her eyebrows were furrowed above her bright blue eyes. She studied her husband's face. He began to turn bright red as he shrugged his shoulders, hoping to get her off their suspicions. "You smell like alcohol. Did you guys have a couple drinks?" She asked.

"Yeah. It was only a small amount. You know, gotta watch those kids sober." Kristoff weakly replied. He felt like she could see through his lie. Sweat began to trickle down the side of his face. Anna nodded her head and took a seat at the counter.

"Yeah, how were they?" She sighed. She hoped Kristen wasn't too obnoxious for the other kids. Kristen could get a little out of hand sometimes.

"She was good. The quietest one compared to the boys." Kristoff answered, trying to make small talk. Hiccup snuck away, leading Merida to where Henry was sleeping so he could tell her about what was happening.

"Good. Good." Anna smiled and looked down. She was glad that she behaved. She opened her mouth, about to ask another question when her husband was gone. She figured he left for the bathroom, so she stayed sitting.

"Ok, you should be in the clear. Rap and Mer are distracted and I can tell that Anna is tired so she won't move. Good luck and thanks for coming, buddy." Kristoff smiled as he patted his brother-in-law's back.

"Thanks. Bye, Kristoff!" Jack waved as he exited their house. He skipped out the house, wondering how he got out of there in one piece. When he looked up to cross the street, he bumped into a tall blonde.

"Ow! Jack?" She asked. Jack froze up. Shit. His cover the had been blown. He quickly sprinted to his car. Great, now Anna was going to freak on everyone in the house. He had to get out of there. "Jack, wait!" Elsa called as she chased after him.

She jumped onto his car as he started the engine. She knew he would never hurt her, so the car wouldn't move if she was sitting on it. Jack looked up and saw her thin figure on top of his car. "Elsa, can you please get off?"

"Jack, why are you here?" She questioned. He bit his bottom lip, not wanting to answer that question. He softly chuckled, trying to make it funny.

"It's a funny story actually and I can tell you about it a different time." He said. She shook her head, not liking that response.

"No. Tell me now and I'll get off." She commanded. Knowing that he would lose, he let out a sigh.

"Fine, just don't let Anna know. Kristoff invited me over for drinks. It was no big deal. It was just going to be like old times, okay?" Jack replied. Elsa furrowed her eyebrows and slid off of his car. Why would Kristoff invited Jack?

He backed up and pulled away from the curb, speeding away. He didn't want to meet Elsa like this again. Now she would jump to conclusions and yell at Kristoff. Oh great, now Kristoff would never invite him again. God, what did he get himself into his time?
