They now stood in Whyte Wrym, addressing the remaining Serpents.

" Take only what you absolutely need, and what you can carry with you," Jughead advised. " We need to move quickly and quietly. Sheriff Minetta's forces are all over the Southside and they're looking for our blood. If we want our skulls to remain uncracked, we have to go undetected."

" Go where?" Sweet Pea asked. " There's nowhere safe."

" We've offered asylum on the Northside," Jughead answered. Everyone started to pack as much as they could and made their way out of the Whyte Wrym. They walked all over the Southside, slipping through allies, avoiding Sheriff Minetta, till they reached the asylum that turned out to be the Andrew's house.

The next morning Callie, her family, and the Bulldogs were helping out the Serpents. She was helping cook breakfast.

" All right. Two dots and a dash," her dad said as handed a Serpent a plate of food. " Two chicks on a raft here, Jug." Callie handed Jughead a plate of food. " And there's a stack of Vermont hot for ya." Archie handed a girl a plate of pancakes. " Oh, yeah, I worked at Pop's for a summer. Come on." He then walked away.

" What's going on here?" FP asked as he walked in." You do all this?"

" With an assist from Archie and Callie," Jughead answered. " Toledo's gonna have to wait."

" Maybe so," FP agreed. " Bulldogs helping Serpents, Freddie Andrews opening his house to a bunch of snakes." He walked over to Fred. " There goes the rest of your Northside boat, buddy."

" We're neighbors here," Fred stated. " All right bacon!" He then walked to FP to whisper something to him. " This way I can keep a closer eye on my daughter's new boyfriend." FP laughed as he took a plate of food.

" Hey. Thank you," Jughead said to Andrew kids. " You two came for me." They then looked at all the Serpents in the house.

" We're not done yet," Archie stated.

" How many of these Serpent jackets do you think we can borrow?" Callie asked.

The next day at school, everyone wore a Serpent jacket. Callie had to borrow one of Sweet Pea's jackets, he was happy enough to let her use it. Even though it was big on her. Principal Weatherbee, them walked out of his office, horrified at what he saw.

" What's the meaning of this?" Principal Weatherbee demanded.

" It's a show of support, sir," Archie answered.

" For the Southsiders who are being wrongly transferred out of our school," Callie added. " Everyone's ready to walk out, Principal Weatherbee."

" Any student who walks out better keep walking because they'll be expelled," Principal Weatherbee threatened.

" You're a good man, Principal Weatherbee," Archie admitted. " You're not the kind of person who discriminates. And if you are, then expel me. Because I don't want to be a part of that." He then didn't say anything.

" Everyone, get to class," Weatherbee ordered. Everyone started to walk away, to get to class. Callie turned to Sweet Pea, he looked at her.

" What?" Sweet Pea asked.

" Can I keep this treetop?" Callie asked.

" How about we get one your size shortstop," Sweet Pea suggested with a smile, he put his arm around her and they made their way to class. Hours later Callie was at the student election, she already cast her vote, she was helping run it. She sat at a table, giving students their ballot.

" Looking quite political today," Sweet Pea stated as he walked up to the table.

" You look like you are about to exercise your student right to vote," Callie remarked as she handed him a ballot. He then leaned over the table and kissed her.

"Sweet Pea!" her dad called. 

" By the way, my dad is here," Callie stated as they pulled apart.

" He's everywhere," Sweet Pea groaned as he walked away, Callie laughed.

Callie was now in the student lounge, she sat on the arm of the chair, a chair that Sweet Pea sat in.

" Attention, Riverdale High Students," Principal Weatherbee announced on the PA system. Some of the students stood up. " The results of your student council election are in." Archie and Veronica then stood up as well. " Your new student body president is...Archie Andrews." Everyone in the student lounge cheered as Archie and Veronica hugged each other. " In unrelated news, for the foreseeable future, all former Southside High students will remain at Riverdale High. That is all." Everyone cheered again. The Bulldogs started making woofing sounds.

" Looks like I get to stay here with you shortstop," Sweet Pea said looking up at her. Callie leaned down and kissed him.

" Aye, no kissing the student body president's sister," Archie called out, the two pulled away from each other. 

" My brother is also everywhere," Callie notified.

Later Callie was a meeting with the remainder of the Serpents at a spot by Sweetwater River. Swee Pea, Jughead, and Callie when talking to Fangs when FP whistled to get there attention.

" Listen up now!" FP shouted. " Hey, listen up!" Everyone gave their undivided attention to FP. " Some 60 years ago, the very first Serpent meeting took place on these same riverbanks. And it makes sense that is where we gather now, where I." He paused for a moment. " Where I say my goodbye. Jughead, would you step up here, son?" Everyone whispered amongst each other. Jughead then went up, to join his dad. " I'm retiring from the Serpents." Everyone gasped. " For real this time." Everyone groaned. " Whoa." He put his hand up. " But my boy...My boy has never stopped fighting for this crew. Hell, he almost died for it. That's why I'm giving you the mantle." Everyone cheered for Jughead. "And now, as your first official duty as Serpent King and my last duty as Serpent King..." He held his hand out to Toni. She handed a red Serpent jacket to Jughead and regular black Serpent jacket to FP. " I think we know what to do with these." Everyone started cheering loudly.

" All right. All right," Jughead said. " All I can say is...I love you, Dad. And the Serpents will not die out. Not on my watch." Jughead held his hand out to Cheryl as FP held his hand out to Callie. Both girls happily walked up to them. They helped the girls put on the jackets. Toni and Sweet Pea both proudly watched their girlfriends, join the Serpents officially. Callie looked over at Sweet Pea, and he was smiling from ear to ear. They all started to party again.

" We are officially the best of friends," Cheryl stated. " From the Vixens to joining the Serpents together."

" It's Cheryl and Callie as besties forever," Callie stated. Callie then walked down to Sweet Pea.

" Are you going to stay a Serpent?" Sweet Pea asked.

" Forever and always," Callie answered.

Later that night, Callie was home, they were waiting for the results of the mayoral election. In the house was the McCoys, Moose, the Andrews, Sweet Pea, Reggie, Kevin, and Veronica. The phone rang and Fred answered it.

" Well, uh...I appreciate it. Thanks," Fred said before hanging up the phone, he looked at everyone else. " Hermione won."

" I'm sorry, Dad," Archie apologized. Then there was a knock at the door. Their dad went to go answer it.

" Dad," Callie said as she walked over to the door with Archie and Veronica. Their dad opened it revealing Hermione Lodge.

" Hello, Fred," Hermione greeted. " May I come in?" They let her in, they were all sitting or standing.

" Was it close, at least?" Fred asked.

" Very," Hermione answered. " Less than 200 votes."

" So, what, you came to gloat?" Mrs. McCoy asked.

" No, Sierra," Hermione denied. " I came to tell Fred that he ran a great campaign." Everyone grew surprised looks on their faces. She stuck her hand out to Fred, and he shook it. Everyone applauded them. Everyone then broke off, talking to each other.

Callie now sat the Pop's, in a booth with Veronica, Betty, Jughead, and Archie.

" Well, here's a fun fact about my newest acquisition. According to Pop Tate, the basement of this very diner used to be a secret speakeasy," Veronica informed them. " Back in the days of flapper dresses and cigarette girls. So..."

" Yes?" Jughead asked.

" I want to reopen that speakeasy," Veronica announced. "A cabaret space for world-class entertainment and the most decadent cocktails. A place for North and Southsiders alike. In fact, Jughead, I was hoping your dad might manage it. To make sure the Serpents feel welcome and at home."

" That's amazing, Vee." Betty said.

" What about your dad?" Callie asked.

" Knowing Daddy, he's probably plotting some sort of revenge," Veronica answered.

Later that night Callie was on the balcony of her room with Sweet Pea.

" You know my dad will kill you if he finds out that you are up here," Callie stated.

" No serpent stands alone," Sweet Pea reminded her.

" I don't know how two young Serpents will be against the Papa Bear," Callie admitted smiling a little. Sweet Pea looked at her and started quietly laughing. 

" You are probably right," Sweet Pea laughed as he pulled her close. He then kissed her, and she happily kissed back.

The next day was a pep rally of celebrating Archie. For becoming the student's class president. Callie was down on the gym floor, cheering with the Vixens. Cheryl, Betty, Veronica, and Toni sat in the stands. Josie sat next to Archie, for she was going to sing the national anthem. So in a way, Callie was leading the Vixens. She looked up to see friends smiling at her, she looked at Sweet Pea to see him checking her out in her Vixen's uniform. When they finished they left the floor, Callie took a seat on the sidelines with the rest of the Vixens.

" Students, faculty, and staff," Principal Weatherbee greeted everyone into the microphone. " Before we inaugurate Archie Andrews as our new student council president, please rise for our national anthem." Everyone stood up and put their hand over their heart, as Josie sang the national anthem. Archie looked up at the stands, smiling at his friends when his eyes landed on Callie, they smiled and nodded at each other. Soon she saw Archie's smile drop, she looked to see he was looking at Hiram Lodge. He stared at Archie with a smirk. As Josie sang, the doors opened, everyone looked to see Sheriff Minetta and two deputy cops walk into the gymnasium. Everyone dropped their positions and looked at each other, Josie stopped singing as they arrested Archie.

" Sheriff Minetta, what are you doing?" Archie asked.

" Archie Andrews, you're under arrest for the murder of Shadow Lake resident, Cassidy Bullock," Sheriff Minetta announced.

" What?" Archie asked. " I didn't kill him--"

" You have the right to remain silent," Sheriff Minetta ordered. " Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney." Everyone looked at each other in confusion. Everyone watched in horror as Archie Andrews was escorted out of the gymnasium for a murder he did not commit. Archie looked back at his friends, then at Callie. She walked forward to be with him, but Ginger and Tina held her back. Archie looked at her, together they looked over at Hiram Lodge, who nodded at Archie. He looked at Callie and Archie, then smiled before walking away.
