The next morning Callie and Archie walked Betty to school. 

" I need to tell you two something Arch, and Cal" Betty began. " But you can't tell anyone else. Not Veronica, not Jughead, not your dad, just no one. Promise me." 

" We promise," Callie assured her. 

"The Black Hood called me," Betty informed. 

"What?" Archie asked as he stopped walking.

" Keep walking," Betty urged.

"Wait, the Black Hood called you?" Callie questioned.

"Yes. It's even risky for me to even be telling you two," Betty stated. " But we're best friends and we live next door to each other. So, us walking to school together would look perfectly normal to anyone who might be watching. Including him?"

" You think he's watching us?" Archie asked.

" I don't know, he could be," Betty responded. " I know it sounds crazy, but it was him."

"Betty, you have to tell the police," Archie insisted.

" Even if it's not him," Callie added.

"It is him. And he told me," Betty confirmed. " If I went to the police, or if I told Jughead, he'd...God, he knows where Polly is, Arch and Cal. If he calls me again, I have to answer."

"We're not letting you go through this alone," Callie spoke. Betty looked at them. " Meet me at my locker later."

Later on, Callie is at her locker when Betty approaches it.

"Why do you need me to meet you here?" Betty asked.

"Hand me your phone," Callie demanded as she pulled two small mics.

"What are you going to do?" Betty asked as she gave Callie her phone.

" I am hooking up a device," Callie explained. She took off Betty's case and put one the mics on before putting the case back on. " Whenever you get a call, I will receive it, and it will record it on my device, just make sure you have your Bluetooth on."

"Callie," Betty protested as Callie handed the phone back. " It wasn't even a recognizable voice."

" I know, maybe I can try playing around with the levels to find out is behind the voice," Callie defended herself.

"And what if you get into trouble again?" Betty asked.

"I will call Sweet Pea," Callie informed.

" Do you really think that Serpent will come to your rescue?" Betty asked.

" If it keeps me from getting killed then yes," Callie answered.

Later that day Callie was at Jughead's trying to do more research on serial killers.

"Callie, if I became a serpent-" Jughead began.

"Archie would not be too happy, and maybe Betty as well," Callie answered as she looked up at him. Jughead was looking at the serpent jacket that was given to him.

"What would you think?" Jughead asked.

"Why do you care what I think?" Callie asked.

"You are like my other sister," Jughead answer.

" Honestly I would be fine with it," Callie answered." I like the idea of the serpents, people that always have you back,"

"Is there another reason?" Jughead asked.

"Reggie despises them, " Callie answered. " So, I will support them."

" The typical ex's thing, too support what the other despise," Jughead commented while laughing.

" Bingo," Callie laughed. " Sweet Pea also texted me earlier about some pipe bomb, I am going to try talking him out of it."

"You and Sweetpea?" Jughead asked raising his eyebrows.

"What?" Callie asked. " No....don't ask any more questions and let's get down to the Whyte Wrym."

"What makes think you are welcomed there?" Jughead asked.

" I was taken there when I was kidnapped and woke up in its basement," Callie explained. " I don't think I need another reason." Soon they set off for the Whyte Wyrm when they entered Jughead was wearing the jacket and she saw Sweet Pea playing a game of pool with Tall Boy.

" I think this Northsider's lost," Sweet Pea voiced.

" We are not," Callie defended the two. Sweet Pea glared at her, as everyone else looked at them. She saw that he had a black eye.

" I'm over being half a serpent," Jughead announced.

"I am just here for support," Callie announced.

" Wow. You will do anything to protect your Northside buddies," Sweet Pea growled as he walked over and pushed Jughead away with his body. 

"My father was a Serpent. he led you," Jughead stated. " I wanna stand with you guys." No one responded. " Tall Boy was the one that gave me this jacket. It's finally time I start wearing it." Tall Boy started to walk over, and Callie sat next to Toni and a couple of others.

" So, you wanna be a Serpent, huh?" Tall Guy questioned. " Let's see if you survive the initiation first." Toni then looked at Callie.

"Are you joining as well?" Toni asked.

"No, but I am here for his support," Callie answered. 

" Callie!" Sweet Pea shouted they all looked over at him. " Come here."

" Relax," Fangs assured her. Callie then got up at met Sweet Pea outside of the Whyte Wyrm.

"What do you want?" Callie asked.

"What are you doing here?" Sweetpea. " And tell me it's not just to support Jones or convince me out of that pipe bomb."

" Well to piss off my ex, he despises Serpents," Callie answered.

" Do you?" He asked.

"No, not really. My dad is chill with them, I'm chill with most of them," Callie answered.

" Most of them?" Sweet Pea asked. " Am I not one of them? Your brother hates them, he gave me this" He pointed to his eye.

"You guys had a rumble," Callie pointed out. " What do you think was going to happen? A pillow fight? A thumb wrestle? By the way, Dilton Doiley landed in the hospital with a knife in his knee, I thought I said no weapons"

" He stabbed himself," Sweet Pea answered.

"Coward," Callie breathed as she shook her head.

" Why do you have bandages on your forehead and hands?" he asked.

" I was trying to find the black hood, so I went to Sweetwater River alone, this guy was following me, so I climbed a tree, slipped, and now here I am," Callie explained.

"YOU went alone, YOU got hurt, and someone was following YOU, why didn't YOU call me?" Sweetpea demanded. 

"I did," Callie answered angrily. " But YOU didn't pick up."

" Because YOU told me not to worry about someone who is not one of my own," Sweetpea argued. Callie went to go say something else when she heard her phone go off. To the lollipop song.

" I have you to take this," Callie said as she walked away. She put her phone to her ear.

" Hello?" She heard Betty's voice ask.

" Your mother's at work," the Black Hood's voice began. 

" Yeah, she and my dad are," Betty responded.

" I know, I'm looking at them through a nice big picture window. Are you alone?" He asked.

" I am," Betty responded, Callie looked up to see people approaching her, she looked behind her to see Sweetpea walking over to her as fast as he can. Callie then walked over to Sweet Pea as she listened to the message.

" She's a thorn in both of our sides, your mother," the black hood stated. " We can't have her looming over us."

" Wait. If you're suggesting---" Betty began. Callie looked back to see the people still following her, she looked back forward to see Sweetpea getting closer to her.

" Check your email," the Black Hood demanded. " Publish what I've sent. And then I'll know that you're loyal."

" I want something in return," Betty demanded. " To prove your loyalty." Callie now was at arm's distance from Sweet Pea, he turned and started to walk with her, Callie looked behind her. She heard a swish sound, Callie looked to see that he had a switchblade in his other hand.

" Keep walking if you want to live," Sweet Pea whispered to her as he put an arm around her. Callie put a hand over his mouth as he led her around the corner and near the Black Hood.

" How about...You do this for me. And then you get to ask me a question," The Black Hood suggested. " And I have to answer it. You have until tomorrow night." The phone went dead, Callie then put her phone and looked up at Sweet Pea angrily.

" What is your problem?" Callie asked as she removed her hand and moved from his arm.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Sweet Pea asked. " Those were ghoulies and they want you dead."

"Why do they want me dead?" Callie asked. " I thought that-"

"That's what Reggie and everyone else wants you to think," Sweet Pea interrupted her. " One of the only people to defend us is be turned against us."

" I woke up in the basement of the Whyte Wyrm, the very same place Jason Blossom was murdered," Callie pointed out as Sweet Pea led her back to the Whyte Wrym. " How do I know you weren't the one that kidnapped me? I saw your brass knuckles," Sweet Pea then backed her into a wall. " What are you going to do? Hit me like you hit my brother?"

"It was rumble remember?" Sweet Pea reminded her. " Do you really want to know what happened?"

" Yes," Callie answered. " Was it someone doing Cliff Blossom's dirty work or the was it the Black Hood himself?"

" It was Cliff Blossom," Sweet Pea answered. " A Serpent overhead Cliff Blossom talking to a ghoulie about it." They started back for the bar. " Fangs followed the ghoulie all the way to your house, he then followed the ghoulie all the way over to Sweetwater River, he smashed a bottle over the ghoulies head, then he grabbed you and took you here. Blossom said that the ghoulies could hurt you as much as they wanted too, even kill you. We were not going to let that happen."

"Why?" Callie answered.

" We put you in the basement and I volunteered to make sure you stayed there," Sweet Pea stated.

"So when Cliff Blossom tried to go after you on the ghoulie side of town, you would not be there," Sweet Pea explained.

" In the very same basement, he killed his own son?" Callie questioned.

" If he came to the Whyte Wyrm, he would have to go through us Serpents and me last before he could get to you," Sweetpea explained.

" Why do you and the serpents care about me so much?" Callie asked. " I am not even serpent, I am not one of your own."

" That's why we knew your name, before you even told us," Sweet Pea mentioned.

" I think I'm going to go home," Callie stated. She then started to walk towards the tracks.

" Not alone you are not," Sweetpea argued. " Especially with a killer on the loose."

" I will be fine," Callie argued. " Stop worrying about me." 

" You don't know how to fight," Sweet Pea argued.

"You won't teach me," Callie argued.

"For good reasons as well," Sweetpea argued back.

" Go back to the Whytm Wrym, I will be fine alone," Callie protested. Sweet Pea did not listen, he made sure she got all the way home and inside the house.
