Chapter 3
Later on, Callie was in the locker room with all the other cheerleaders. She stood in the mirror with Callie as they fixed their makeup.
"Are you going with anyone to the dance?" Cheryl asked.
"Reggie of course," Callie smiled. "You?"
"Maybe, depends how I feel when the time comes," Cheryl responded." See you later". Callie walked out of the locker room. In the distance, she saw Betty and Veronica talking with Archie. She looked over at the football field to see Reggie checking her out. He jogged over to her.
"You look so hot in that uniform," Reggie growled playfully.
"And you are sweaty," Callie giggled. She ran her fingers through his sweaty hair. Reggie kissed her roughly, she kissed back before pulling back.
"I will see you later babe," Callie giggled once more. Reggie pecked her on the lips once more before jogging away. " Archie! Let's go home, dad is waiting for us". Archie said goodbye to his friends before going to the locker room and changing.
"Guess what," Archie started on their walk home.
"What?" Callie asked.
"I am going to the dance," Archie stated happily.
"With who?" Callie asked.
"Betty and Veronica," Archie smiled.
"Two girls at once?" Callie questioned him while glancing at him.
"Just as friends," Archie assured her.
"Archie, you gotta be careful, you can not just be friends with two girls like that without falling for one of them and leaving the other girl heartbroken," Callie advised.
" I won't," He assured her once more. "Oh, and coach also offered me a spot on varsity".
"That's fantastic news!" Callie cheered.
"He gave me number nine," Archie informed her.
"They didn't retire his number?" Callie asked as her smile dropped. Archie shrugged, not really knowing what else to say. When they got home Archie stayed on the porch strumming his guitar, while Callie talked to their dad. Suddenly his phone rings. "Who is it?" Callie asked.
"Archie's coach," he said as he checked the caller on his phone. " Hello". He greeted as he answered the phone call. A couple of minutes later he hung up the phone. " He's concerned about Archie not being able to play varsity".
"That's strange, he was excited about it on our way home from school," Callie commented. Minutes later their dad came out with a beer on the porch with a beer followed by Callie. Archie stopped strumming his guitar and looked back at the two. " I, umm..I got a call from your coach today".
"He's under the impression that you can't play varsity football," Callie added. " Because daddie is making you work for him".
"Which is odd, because you made it seem like you couldn't work for me because you were playing football," their dad added. Callie watched her brother look down, avoiding eye contact. " So my first question is...who are you lying to?"
" Dad or your coach?" Callie questioned.
"Stay out of this Callie," Archie turned back around.
"Go inside Callie," their dad told her.
"But-" Callie began.
"If you do not go inside, then you can't go out with Reggie later. And as I recall it's the school dance tonight". Callie angrily stalked insides and listened to the conversation from there. Minutes their dad walked back inside and sighed when he saw Callie. " I thought I told you to go inside".
"I am inside," Callie pointed out as she scratched the back of Vegas's head.
"I meant in your room getting ready for the dance," Fred Andrews stated angrily.
"Don't get mad at me for not being able to read minds dad," Callie snapped. She got up from the chair. " Besides Archie is the one that lied to you".
"Go get ready for the dance Callie," he warned her.

Later on, it was time for the back to school dance. She wore a black dress.
"You look smokin babe," Reggie whispered into her ear.
"You look like a dream," Callie said as they made their way over to the punch bowl.
"Well wake up my strawberry, because I am real," Reggie reminded her, as he placed a hand on her back. They ended up meeting Moose at the punch bowl. She saw he was looking a bit distress. Moose then dipped his flask in the punch bowl, he took a sip and then handed it to Reggie.
" Good evening, friends," Cheryl said into the microphone. " Are you all having a good time?"
"Come on," Callie said as she grabbed Reggie's hand and pulled him to the front by the stage. So they stood in front of Cheryl. Behind the blossom girl was Josie and the Pussycats. Everyone cheered.
"This dance is so sick," Reggie commented as he clapped.
" As honorary chairperson and de facto queen of tonight's semiformal, it is my great pleasure to introduce this evening's main entertainment. To know them is to be obsessed with them. Though they usually perform their own material, tonight, they're making an exception and debuting a cover of the song my parents claimed they were listening to the night Jason and I were conceived. This one's for you, JJ." Reggie pulled Callie back into the crowd a little more. "I give you Josie and the Pussycats". Everyone cheered a bit more.
"Lets dance," Reggie suggested as they took positions.
"I will always dance with you," Callie assured him as the song started. Reggie happily spun Callie a couple times and placed his lips on her forehead and her lips a couple of times. Soon Cheryl pulled Callie away from Reggie. " I will be right back". Cheryl then had her stand with the other two vixens looking at Betty and Archie.
"Make sure those two turtledoves come to my after-party," Cheryl demanded.
"Veronica too," Callie advised.
"I'm in the mood for chaos," Cheryl smirked.

Reggie drove Callie and a couple of others to Cheryl's after-party.
"How about we sneak out of the party later," Reggie suggested.
" I'm game," Callie whispered to him. He threw his arm around her as they continued the ride there. Now they all sat in a group.
"It's game time at Chez Blossom, kiddies," Cheryl began with a drink in her hand".
"We're going old-school tonight," Callie added as she stood next to Cheryl. " Seven minutes in heaven".
" Who wants to tryst in the Closet of Love First?" Cheryl asked the group. " My vote is "A " for Archie".
"Anyone care to second that?" Callie asked.
"Wait, actually..." Archie began.
"Yes, Andrews!" Reggie interrupted him, he turned to Callie's twin brother. " Yes".
"All right. Gather round, kids," Callie advised as Cheryl prepared to spin the bottle.
"Let's see who's riding the ginger stallion tonight," Cheryl sated as she spun the bottle. The bottle landed on the Veronica.
"Oh, no way!" snickered Reggie.
"It's clearly pointing to," Callie began.
"The new girl," Cheryl finished. " This should be fun".
"Um...I'm not doing this," Veronica protested, Callie could see how upset Betty was becoming.
" That's up to you," Cheryl rolled her eyes. " But if you don't, house rules decree the hostess gets to take your turn". Veronica then went into a closet with Callie's twin. During their time Betty gets up and leaves the house.
"Nailed it," Reggie laughed as they saw that Archie had his tie around his neck
"Where's Betty?" Veronica asked.
" She spiraled and fled," Callie answered.
"Between us, she's a lot more high-strung than she looks," Cheryl added.
"You shady bitch," Veronica insulted. Archie shook his head at Callie and Cheryl as the two left to go look for Betty.
The next morning Callie stood at the edge of Sweetwater River. With her father and brother, as the ambulance took care of Jason's body, he was shot in the forehead. And submerged underwater. Everyone looked at each other with the same look of fear in their eyes. This was now a murder case.
