Sorry
Friendship day, the day where everyone does something for their friend.
And it was on a Sunday, so we celebrated it on Monday, where there was a festival called rakhi(to tie a band on your brother).
I gave a half-rakhi and half- friendship band to Aanish. He took it and I tied it on him.
Soon, everyone was tying bands to each other.
My bands stretched up to my elbow.
Soon, I remembered that I saved one for Devin.
I was scared, and shy.
I wrote sorry and kept it on his desk.
When he came back, he was confused and gave it to Anna.
She got confused and gave it to me.
I told her that it was for Devin, and she kept it back saying that it was from me.
He realised and went out.
I don't know why he was doing this, but I do know that he was mad for a long time.
I was frustrated now.
What do I do?
I write these feelings in my songs, but it doesn't feel right without someone to help.
And Aanish is the biggest teaser I know.
He's what you call a 'frienemy'.
He was mad at me for sometime, breaking friendship with Dev.
You can't believe what he did.
He sent a chit saying,'My effing middle finger salutes you female dog.'
No kidding.
I thought I lost another friend when he asked me in the bus why I wasn't talking to him. You expect me to?
I told him to stop being rude to me, and he listened.
Shows how rocky our times were.
But then again, we knew each other's deepest secrets(not including last year).
He is the one person in the class I would think of for a best friend.
And guess what.
I got selected for class band!
Yay!
I may be the only girl, but still! Btw, I play the guitar.
Aanish plays the keyboard and sings, and there are a few pen tappers.
But just as luck goes, there was a fight regarding the songs.
I had spent an entire lesson practicing one song(I didn't really know the others that well) so I wanted that song to be one of the playlist.
I mean, who wants their work to go to waste?
Then Aanish argued on my behalf, so the others decided to say that he was giving a lecture.
I had to stay silent, but that had its consequences.
Aanish quit.
I felt devastated, I loved the guitar.
All the boys went to convince him, and soon, thank god, he came back.
On one (awesome!) condition, that Gru would have to go.
At first I thought that he might say my name, but when I asked, his answer was,"Are you kidding? You play the guitar awesome!"
I sighed with relief as I continued.
I don't know what I would do without him.
My bestest friend in the whole wide world. If bestest is a word.
