Seat change

I didn't want to change my seat.

I mean, what was the need?

Like, I hate seats being chosen for us, but I'm ok with us choosing it.

Why did we have to change our seats?

Because all of us were chattering like monkeys.

Uh, damn you class.

Excluding me and my friends of course. No way was I telling my new friends to damn themselves.

My roll number was called out and I saw that I was sitting next to someone random shy girl.

Behind me was Salli, who was thankfully talkative.

And behind her was Devin.

He made an innocent face at me, pleading for me to come back and sit with Salli. He did not look innocent just saying.

I guess for the first time in my life I was wanted.

I did a mental happy dance and went back.

And you won't believe how much we talked and disrupted the class.

It was so fun, I really, had a great time.

I still remember one of the funniest conversation.

But all of them were funny, it's just that this one in particular was true comedy.

"Hey, Kajal." Salli turned around.
"What do you want?"

I didn't understand what was going on.

"Who's Kajal?" I asked.

"Some Bollywood actress who looks like her."

Suddenly it sprang to me.

"Oh, the one who's married right? I wonder who her Ajay Devgan is in the class..." I said.

Salli face palmed as me and Devin broke out laughing.

Our faces were so red, anyone would have thought that we slapped each other too hard.

We met each other's eyes when Devin broke the silence.

"You know, you're like my sister. From another mother." I felt touched.

"You too. My bro, not my sister." And you always will be, is what I said to myself.
