The Escape
As I make my way through the camp I keep my head down only glancing up a few times to see where I'm going.
I'm surprised when I see slot of children. I thought rebels would be mostly be adults, but no a least a quarter of them are kids. Starving kids being taught how to fight.
No wonder they always invade the castle that's where everything they could ever need is. I keep my head down as I make my way straight through camp.
When I reach the edge of the camp I pull out the map and I point to where I am and where I have to be.
"Wait! Are you Lady Ivy?" A little boy who walked up to me while I was looking at my map asks. I watch as his mother looks at my face too and screams causing attention. I can't be in the middle of this!
I push the map into the back of my pocket and I run. I run as fast as I can into the trees. I hear footsteps behind me and that just makes me run faster.
When I heard them start shutting gunshots at me that's when I started to panic and I started running in an uneven line changing my direction every so often.
I didn't know where I was going and I had to get away from the rebels.
Suddenly I feel a burning sensation in my leg and I fall to the ground. As I look quickly at the back of my leg I see the bullet and the blood spilling out of my leg.
I have to keep moving I think in my head as the rebels get closer. I get up and I run as fast as I can ignoring the pain in my leg and the blood dripping down my leg.
When I finally lose them I collapse against a big tree trunk. I inspect my soon and I can tell it's bad. They had pretty good aim for hitting my legs too. Right in the middle.
I pull out the small medical kit opening it quickly and digging through the contents looking for something I could use. When I find a bandage I quickly wrap it around my leg securing it tightly so I don't lose more blood.
As I start to feel more light headed I pack the medical kit up before falling into a deep sleep.
