The next night...
I quickly plop myself down on the floor in front of our television that we found on the side of the road in front of a two's house. I can't believe they were just throwing it away. My mother sits down beside me. "So did you get your form in on time?" She asks. I had the day off today, but she had to work the day shift so I haven't seen her since lunch yesterday. Sometimes our schedules mash up like that and I don't get to see her. It really sucks.

      "Yeah-"I say quickly before getting cut off by the king walking out on stage and applause erupting. I watch as Prince Nick and Prince Zach walk behind him before the kind sits in his throne and the princes pass their chairs heading straight for the microphone. That's when I notice the long piece of paper Prince Zach is carrying in his hand. Prince Nick introduces himself and welcomes everyone to the weekly report.

Then Prince Zach steps up and starts talking. "I am honoured to announce the 35 lovely girls that will be coming to live in the palace with my brother and I for a little while and to announce the names of the girls that have a chance of becoming the future queen and princess," he says before holding the paper he was holding out in front of himself and slowly reading off the names one after the other giving the audience lots of the to applause.

For a second I think they said the wrong thing and it doesn't hit me until my mom hugs me. I realize then that I've actually been picked to be in the selection! That means I'm going to the palace!
