(Takes place after Revelations)

Allison and Caroline pulled up to the Boarding house.

"God we haven't spent that much in years." Allison laughed as she levitated the bags into the house.

"I know. So what's next on our girls' day?" Caroline asked as the pair walked into the house.

"I was thinking facials?" Allison offered and Caroline nodded, happy that she was spending more time with Allison again. After the whole Kevin thing and then getting with Matt, she missed her soul-sister.

Once the girls walked into the parlor, they noticed Jeremy and Damon training.

"Don't break anything you two." Allison said and Jeremy laughed while Damon nodded his head.

"What are they doing?" Caroline asked as the bags flew up the stairs.

"Jeremy asked Damon to train him."

"Oh cool." Caroline said smiling until she saw Jeremy seem to vanish, along with Damon. "Uh Ally..."

"They went outside. Come on." Allison told her and they walked up to her and Damon's room. "Damon said you can chose a room."

"Seriously?" Caroline asked raising an eyebrow making Allison turn to her with a smile.

"Yup, Jeremy has two rooms, Zach's room is now my office, so we have two left."

"Jeez you guys hit the payload." Caroline says laughing and Allison smiles at her.

"Care, are you sure you're okay....with everything?" Allison asks as they walk into the first room.

"Yeah, I mean it's crazy that Bonnie is a witch, and Stefan and Damon are vampires. It's like what else is in this world, ya know?" Caroline says shaking her head.

"Jeremy's a mutant like me." Allison says and Caroline laughs softly.

"I figured that, I mean no offense but your parents sucked." Caroline tells her laying on the bed. "Oh this is comfy." Allison laughs and lays down next to her. "So I was being compelled by Kevin and Damon killed him which released me." Caroline whispers and Allison grabs her hand.

"It'll be okay Care, I'll protect you." Caroline smiles and turns on her side, Allison copying her. "We're sisters."

"Sisters for life."

"Add death too." Both girls laugh and begin talking about other things they missed out on.

Jeremy and Damon finally returned around dinnertime and Allison was glad it was only saturday.

"You boys have fun?" Caroline asked helping Allison set the table.

"Oh yeah, Stefan even helped." Jeremy said kissing both girls cheeks before taking a seat.

"He says he's staying with Elena for the night." Damon says kissing Allison softly.

"Mmm okay. So any plans tomorrow?" Allison asks as the three take their seats.

"None really." Jeremy says scooping up some pasta for his plate. "Damon says I should rest cause I'm new to my gifts." Jeremy tells her and looks at Caroline. "You're usually not this quiet Care."

"Just thinking. Ally told me I could have a room, is that really okay?" Caroline asks Damon. Sure she really wants one but it's technically Damon's house.

"Yeah that's fine. She show you them both?" Damon asks grabbing a burger. Caroline nods and Damon smirks.

"How about we do a picnic tomorrow? Our hiding place?" Allison asks looking between the three.

"Works for me." Jeremy says with his mouth full of food.

"Can we even still get there?" Caroline asks as she grabs her fork. "Last time we went was 5 years ago." Caroline says and Allison smiles.

"Yeah, I found it a couple weeks ago." Allison tells them.

"Hiding place?" Damon asks holding back a laugh.

"When I was about 10, Caroline and I found this river spot that was covered by bushes and trees blocking the clearing. Once Jeremy was old enough to come with us without mom and dad freaking, the three of us always picnicked there."

"Once we stopped we swore to never take anyone there unless they were special." Caroline added smiling proudly. "You will be the first outsider."

"Outsider?" Damon asked chuckling as he took a bite of his burger.

"We're the three musketeers." Jeremy told him and they all laughed softly. Damon smirked and shook his head. He was glad that Allison had told him how important Jeremy and Caroline were to her. With all three in the same room, he could see how much they meant to each other. He could see the siblings didn't need Elena, they had Caroline.

"So any wedding plans?" Damon asked smirking.

"Of course." Allison and Caroline said at the same time.

"Oh can the groom know?"

"How long are you guys having an engagement?" Jeremy asked as he grabbed some more food.

"I was thinking a year?" Allison asked looking to Damon who nodded.

"Sweet, means we have time." Jeremy laughed and Allison smiled at him.

"Of course." Allison told him and Damon looked confused while Caroline smiled fondly at the siblings.

"Time for what?"

"Allison and Jeremy have something they need to do before you get married." Caroline told him and he nodded still confused. "I don't even know, it's the one thing those two have always been quiet about."

"Really?" Damon asks and Caroline nods.

"As you know those two hold no secrets between them. Not since Ally got sober." Damon nods so Caroline continues. "Jer and Ally are a pair, and everyone has to accept that Jer will always come first to Ally and vise versa."

"Of course he does." Damon agrees and Caroline smiles at him.

"I approve, you know. Of you and Ally. You make her happy. You accept Jeremy, and you've been nice to me."

"Why wouldn't I? I mean yeah before I met Ally I was a dick, the bond makes you want to be a better person."

"Is it the bond or you wanting it?" Caroline asks biting into her food. Damon blinks and shakes his head softly. "Ah all you." Caroline tells him and he chuckles.

At noon the next day the four head out to Allison, Jeremy, and Caroline's hiding place. Damon and Jeremy are carrying most the stuff since Allison and Caroline keep tripping.

"I don't remember this many roots." Caroline huffs as they reach the large trees.

"Neither do I." Allison tells her. "Do you think we took the wrong path?"

"Guys marking." Jeremy says pointing to the tree the three carved their initials in.

"We took the wrong path." The girls say at the same time laughing. Jeremy shakes his head and leads Damon into the clearing, the girls following them.

"Whoa..." Damon is shocked that in all his years he had never found this. "What...."

"No one knows it exists. One day out of the blue we found it."

"It was like a force pulling us." Caroline says after Allison.

"Lee and Care found this exactly like it is now."

"Only one thing never made sense to us." Allison tells him and pulls Damon to a tree, it was white and very powerful. "This tree, we could never figure out what it was."

"Looks ancient." Damon says looking over it. "Isn't this an oak tree?" Damon ask recognizing the wood.

"We don't know, all we know is...this tree, protected us." Caroline says walking over to the pair.

"Oh?" Damon asks confused, again.

"I think Jer was 6, Ally was 12, and I was 10. It was storming and Ally had just gotten into a fight with Elena for the umpteenth time." Caroline began as Jeremy started to set up the picnic.

"It was a really bad storm." Jeremy added as he moved around.

"Care and Jer followed me as I ran out of the house." Allison continued and touched the tree. "We ran all the way here, even though we didn't mean to."

"When we stood under the tree...." Caroline trailed off, remembering the feeling and she smiled fondly.

"What?" Damon asked curious.

"The rain didn't touch us and we felt a warmth, like everything would be fine." Jeremy told him as he sat on the blanket. "We never told anyone." Damon looked at the tree, he remembered one just like it that his family cut down.

As the four ate lunch, Damon got to know more about his mate and her family. Jeremy and Caroline kept bringing up story after story, most which if he had just met her and wasn't supernatural he wouldn't believe. It was like nature tried to protect her.

"Damon?" Allison asked noticing her mate lost in thought.

"Hmm?"

"I love you." Allison said making him smiling and kiss her.

"I love you too Ally, forever." Damon whispered as the branches from the old oak tree danced around them.
