Late Night Bloodbath

No One's POV
Sometimes the relationship between man and woman is beautiful. Breathtaking, even. The union of two souls that were destined by the stars to be together until the Earth ends. The kind of partnership that makes others jealous and wanting of their happiness. A relationship that can make everything else seem on the next planet.

But this was not one of those relationships. The very opposite actually.

This was the kind of relationship no one would ever want.

This was spur of the moment, or perhaps premeditated far in advance. The man was bigger and older, and the woman was practically a child fresh out of puberty. He had seen her and her beautiful body. He had seen her and wanted her. And his type of man would not take no for an answer.

So when the girl was alone, grabbing water for her family, he had snuck up on her and grabbed her by her face. Her terrified screams went unheard behind his large hand, her acts of desperation futile against his giant body, and he carried her away to do his bidding. He couldn't risk being found by other townsfolk, so he took her into the forest beyond their village, dragging her mercilessly through the dirt and underbrush.

The man was practically salivating as he pictured the night he wanted for the two of them; his body was already responding to his fantasy. But the girl froze in fear when she realized where they were heading.

When they were deep enough into the trees, the man finally released her and pinned her to the ground as she scrambled to get away. Her actions did nothing against the man's girth, so she resorted to begging. "Please, sir - people are known to disappear within these trees, especially at night!"

The man laughed, a cruel and bitter sound. "Don't tell me you believe those dumb stories?" He asked as his hand reached for his pants. "The ones about the flesh eaters in the trees?"

"My grandmother told me those stories," The girl insisted, trying to keep her legs together while still kicking. "And my grandmother is never wrong! People come into these woods and don't come out!"

The man shook his head violently, quickly getting agitated with his defiant prey. "Your grandmother is an idiot!" He growled, his other hand pinning her hands above her head. "The only reason people disappear into these woods is because our sleepy little village is too boring to stay in - I'm sure you realize that." He leaned towards her smooth face with his own greasy expression, a slimy smile on his lips. "But I can show you a good time."

The girl was now terrified on multiple levels. "Please, sir," She begged once again; her actions were starting to weaken. "I'll do whatever you want, just please not here!"

The man made his face into a disgusting pout. "But I'm already worked up right here," He claimed, starting to pull his pants down. "And your body is perfect right here - it would be a shame to try to continue this somewhere else." He lowered his face towards hers again; his excitement was making him shake and sweat onto her perfect face. "So why don't you just do what I want where we are now?"

The girl's body was weakening, though her trembling only gained strength. "P-please," She tried one last time. "N-not here..."

That earned her a slap to the face. "Shut up!" The man roared in her ear against her pained shriek. "I have a knife on me. If you don't want to end up with more bruises, or a missing limb, then you better do as I say!"

Tears escaped the girl's eyes. "P-please..."

"SHUT UP!" The man roared again, reeling his hand back to deliver another blow. The girl's watery eyes widened before she shut them tight and tried to turn her face from the man's wrath.

But it never came. All of a sudden, the man's uncomfortable weight was released from her body, and the man made one sound of surprise before a crunch followed.

Then silence.

The girl sat there against the dirt and the trees for a while, shuddering, afraid the man would return with a vengeance. When there was no other noises, she risked moving her arms and slowly sitting up. She opened her eyes.

And froze.

The forest was very dark; the moon's light could do nothing to permeate the thick layers of leaves. Yet standing there was a being that somehow created its own light. Large hands were wrapped with veins that glowed a warm orange, with similar veins lining two eyes that were glowing a deeper brown of their own. The extra light outlined other things, such as a cape-like item clothing a thin chest in comparison to the hands, and a mane of streaked blonde hair that was crowned with two orange horns.

And there on the being's shoulder was her captor, secured by its large glowing hand - the man that had tried to take her by force. He was lying there like a sack of rice, his pants hanging shamefully off his ankles. There was no knife in his waistline - he must have lied about that. His face couldn't be seen, but it was clear from the lack of breathing what had happened.

The man was dead.

The glowing being had killed him.

Presumably with its hands.

Neither party moved for a tense moment. The glowing being's expression could not be seen, but the girl was suffering from a whirlwind of emotions as her heart and lungs worked overtime. She was grateful that the disgusting man was dead. She was curious as to the identity of her savior. She was scared that its big hands would be coming for her next.

And she was well aware that she was still in a very vulnerable position. Would the glowing being try to take her instead?

The thought propelled her to make the first move, and she was able to force out a feeble, "T-t-thank... y-you."

The being simply stared at her, emotionless and unmoving. Then its free hand lifted, causing the girl to hold her breath as she watched it.

It didn't come for her throat. Instead, it pointed back the way the man had dragged her, the trail she'd left in her desperate escape attempt still prominent even in the weak lighting.

The way back.

The way home.

It almost seemed surreal. The girl sat there for a second more, trying to make sense of it all. When she remained on the ground, the being's glowing pointer finger twitched slightly, as if to say, Well, go on.

It was enough to get the girl going. She scrambled to her feet and fled down the trail, refusing to look back. Her feet scraped against the rocks and uneven ground, but she paid the pain no attention. Her mind was filled with the thought to get away, to get home.

Soon enough, she broke the tree line and kept going, running in what she hoped was the direction of her home.

Away from the forest.

Away from the mysterious being that had saved her life.

Well, I did it! I finally caved in to my imagination and did it!

I don't know how often I'll be able to update this because of school and my other projects, but I'm personally curious to see as to how this story plays out.

What do you think?
