I awoke to the sound of Tigerstar calling the cats to a meeting. "Today we will attack RiverClan and bring Moonpaw home!" he said. "Brokenshadow, seeing as you are Moonpaw's sister, you will first enter their territory alone and give us insight," he said. 

"OK" I told him. I stalked into RiverClan territory and slipped into the sparse trees that lined the river. I sat still as a statue until Moonpaw saw me. She whipped around. 

"Don't worry Moonpaw, it's only me! Why so frightened?" I asked her.

"Brokenpaw! Why are you here? Leopardstar said she would run you off if you came here!" she said.

"I'm not Brokenpaw anymore. I'm Brokenshadow!" I yowled proudly. And better than you sister. "Tigerstar gave me my warrior name as soon as I came into camp!" Wow your still Moonpaw? I licked my paw, staring at her.

"Brokenshadow, I know you are my sister, but you need to leave now. This isn't your territory anymore, so leave!" Moonpaw said. Like you could make me... There was a rustle in the bushes. That fish-brain Smokepaw came out. 

"Brokenpaw! Why are you here?" he said.

"I'm Brokenshadow now!" I said, rolling my eyes. 

Smokepaw gasped. "You shouldn't be here!" he meowed starting to hiss at me. Then chase me off. I was given orders to watch, not kill, or I'd kill you all. They  looked each other in the eyes. Wow, think either of you could fight me one on one? I'm a warrior! 

"Goodbye, Brokenshadow!" they yowled and raced towards me. I focused on Moonpaw, and Smokepaw hit me in the eye. I yowled in pain. I flipped over and leaped onto Smokepaw's back. I could kill you now if I wanted to. But I prefer to watch you squirm. And I was told not to kill... It's a pity that you can't have your suffering end now... Lost in thought, I didn't see Moonpaw claw me off of him. I ran into the bushes and raced into WindClan territory, straight to the heart of the ShadowClan camp. 

"Tigerstar! Tigerstar!" I yowled, panting. I stopped in front of his den.

"Yes, Brokenshadow?" he asked.

"I saw Moonpaw, but that frog-brain Smokepaw was there... I let them think they chased me off." I said.

"Brokenshadow... there's something you need to know. You are part of a prophecy. So is Moonpaw. When the blood of the flame has been shed, and the forest is cast in shadows, there will be two, of the Tiger and Leopard, who shall cast the forest into a total eclipse. " Tigerstar told me.

"Wait... that means... I have special powers?" I asked.

"Yes," he told me. "The Dark Forest told me you have the power to control cats."

"Wow!" I said excited.

"There is one other thing... Runnignose had a vision. Shadows will rule and Moon will break until one perishes finally." Tigerstar told me.

"So Moonpaw and I will have to fight? Well, I'll win! I am Brokenshadow, deputy of ShadowClan, the shadow in the prophecy foretelling darkness and a total eclipse, the only cat who can control others!" I yowled.

"Brokenshadow!" Strikestorm yowled to me. "Come over here and eat with me!"

I walked over thinking everything through. Runningnose padded over. "Brokenshadow... I think you are going to have kits..." he said.

"What?!!!" I meowed. "Kits?" 

"Yes...." he said.

"Well. At least they'll be apprentices by the time the attack on RiverClan happens." I meowed.
