"Where is that stupid sprite..." I groan pacing back and forth. Maia said to meet here at high sun.

"Sorry I'm late Karma.... uh... so I couldn't get it..." Maia says crashing into a bush. She's clumsy and not the brightest.

"Not even anything to catch a scent?" I frown.

"I tried. But someone actually caught me before I attacked... not anyone can do that... I'll try again and I'll... go to the human world to get you someone." She sighs.

"Please. I have to have this prepped really well. He said yes to share a meal with me tomorrow night! And keep it alive Maia. I know he likes things fresh." I smile.

"Of course Karma. That's what... friends are for." She smiles before darting away to the portal she found across the ocean.

"You know how important this is to me Maia. I have to impress him. He's the most amazing guy I've ever met and... if he'd even think of me as my friend? I'd be so excited!" I whisper to myself.

"Soo who was that?" I ask Stephen who's looking where the flying girl last was with a dopey smile.

"Maia. She's something..." his smile grows.

"She's scary." I pout.

"Well let's get going. The tree we need to get to is far and the deeper in the forest we are by nightfall the safer we are." Stephen walks forward knowing exactly where to go. It's really awesome seeing someone with such a strong will and is brave.

"Why are you staring at me?" He snaps.

"I wasnt staring...." I mutter feeing my face heat up.

"Well hurry up. You'll make this trip longer than it has to be if you walk that pace." Stephen rolls his eyes.
