Chapter 6
"She's been fighting that witch for a while." Kirika remarked, as she and Oriko sat there, watching the bright coloured light pulse slowly, and calmly.
"She's not losing though," Oriko pointed out, "If she hasn't lost yet, or if she isn't on the way to losing, then she can't be that weak. Remember, she only became a magical girl a week ago." Kirika only grunted in response, as she stared fixatedly at the bright orb.
Ayame panted, as she stopped again, watching the witch circle the labyrinth mockingly, laughing occasionally, a sound that made Ayame even more keen to kill her. Finally, she resorted to a method she had once sworn she would never use. Summoning as many flintlocks as she could, she let them all point outwards, in all directions around the labyrinth. Beginning to twirl and spin, she fired the flintlocks, spanning the labyrinth, leaving no place for Nebula to hide or avoid the attacks.
The witch screamed as the bullets hit her, piercing her light-like body, as holes of darkness appeared. Finally, she disappeared with a flash, as darkness rained down, from where she had been.
Ayame landed on the ground, as the labyrinth faded, signalling the death of the witch. She walked over to the grief seed standing on the ground, picking it up. She held her now cloudy soul gem out to it, the grief getting absorbed into the grief seed. Eventually, her soul gem glowed a nice bright green, with no signs of cloudiness or darkness.
"I didn't realise the incubators would contract another girl so soon," Kirika remarked, "We didn't spend that much time in the arena. Less than a week I think."
"They did leave the city unprotected, when they took us all," Oriko reminded her, then her brow furrowed, "But I don't get it still."
"Get what?" Kirika asked in surprise.
"I had a vision," Oriko began, "I saw a room, filled with bodies. The bodies were floating in their individual containers, filled with liquid. They didn't move, didn't open their eyes, and-" Oriko hesitated, unsure about the last part.
"What is it?" Kirika pressed gently, leaning forward.
"They were all magical girls," Oriko finished, "We were there too."
"I don't know what the incubators are planning," Oriko sighed, as she and Kirika stared out at the bright lights dotting Mitakihara City, "But I don't think it's going to be good."
Hello all! I'm so sorry about the slow updates, mainly because I kind of ran out of inspiration, and wasn't sure what to write. Do not worry though! I have a plot and story outline all set, so I just need to carry it all out. Luckily, I've finished Puella Magi Miku Magica. I also want to start writing my Vampire Knight story again, since I had to put it on hold, to get a grip on everything else. Thanks for reading!
P.S Don't forget the vote button XD
