"Good job, Rena." Kyubey praised the white magical girl. Rena nodded briefly.

"Who do you want me to go after next?" She asked.

Lyubey looked up from where she was examining Miku's still form across the room.

"You should go after Yuuki next." Lyubey replied. Kyubey nodded in agreement.

"She's too upset to fight properly now." Kyubey agreed.

"Ok," Rena replied, "Should I do that tomorrow night?" Kyubey shook his head.

"Do it in the morning," He replied, "You don't want to make the magical girls suspicious over all these missing magical girls each night. We also want to give Madoka as much time as we can, to make a contract." Rena nodded, preparing to leave.

"One more thing," Kyubey intervened, "Don't let them escape, whatever you do."

"Will do." Rena replied, leaving the room.

"Emiria!" Emiria's mum shouted from downstairs, "Hurry up, you're going to be late for school!" Emiria didn't bother reply, she continued packing her things at the same rate.

"Emiria!" Her mum appeared at the door, looking frustrated, "Didn't you hear me calling."

"You weren't calling, you were shouting," Emiria corrected her, "And yes, I heard you."

"So why aren't you hurrying?" Her mother demanded.

"What if this is my hurrying speed?" Emiria snapped back.

"Fine! Do what you want!" Emiria's mum finally snapped, marching off.

"Good," Emiria muttered, shutting her bag with a snap, "You should have said that ages ago."

As she left for school, she ruefully thought about her wish.

Lyubey had said it would make her life easier. How much harder could her life get? Emiria shook her head, as she continued on her way to school.

Yuuki saw the other girl in the distance, but she didn't care. She still missed Sayaka. The two of them would walk together to school, sometimes accompanied by Madoka and Hitomi, but Yuuki preferred it if they weren't there. Her whole family had grieved for Sayaka's disappearance, but only Yuuki had known what had happened to Sayaka among them. Sayaka's family still searched though, for that familiar blue-haired girl you would find sitting on the grassy hillside. Even know, Yuuki still thought that Sayaka might be sitting on the steps towards school, waiting for Yuuki. It couldn't happen though, Yuuki knew it wasn't possible.

"Feeling blue aren't you?" A voice asked her. Yuuki looked up to see a petite, white-headed and dark-eyed girl standing a couple of metres in front of her. She knew she was a magical girl, noticing the white soul gem which hung from her neck on a silver string. The soul gem was in the shape of a broad star, and the girl wore nothing except for a short, white dress, which ruffled, in an invisible breeze.

She was barefoot, her small feet standing there unflinchingly on the stoney pavement.

Yuuki narrowed her eyes at the girl.

"Who are you?" She asked suspiciously. The girl just smiled.

"I would introduce myself," She began, "But I have to be quick." A pair of flowing white whips appeared in her hands, as she ran at Yuuki, the whips lashing fiercely towards the brown-haired girl. Yuuki duck the first whip, and leapt to the side as the second one came hurtling towards her.

Immediately, Yuuki held out her soul gem, transforming, her outfit appearing in a swirl of magic. She swung her scythe at the white girl, not caring if she killed her. She didn't survive in the arena for nothing.

The girl didn't even blink, as a deft twist of her wrists sent her whips flying towards Yuuki, deflecting the scythe. The girl smiled again.

"You can't get away from me," She informed Yuuki, her dark eyes dancing with amusement, "No-one ever does." A whip lunged towards her, which Yuuki leapt out of the way of, but a second whip snaked around her, binding Yuuki, and rendering her helpless. With a cry, Yuuki dropped her scythe, watching it disappear in a shower of sparks, as the whip lifted her up into the air.

People on the opposite side of the pavement stopped to watch, as Yuuki was lifted, struggling furiously. Her struggles stopped though, when the second whip wrapped itself around her neck. Yuuki gasped for air, choking.

"I'll make it quick." The girl promised. Her eyes darkened, as she stared at Yuuki's soul gem behind her ear. Yuuki felt an intense pain burning in her, as she screamed, feeling herself turn limp. Then it was over.
