At six months along, Minho's favorite thing to do was talk to the baby. As Duri laid in bed Minho laid the opposite way and was having a full on conversation with his baby girl.
"When you get here, try to be nice to us. We love you." He said resting a hand on her belly. "We found out you're a girl today. Your mom is really excited. I'm excited too, but your mom is really excited. I love you, little girl"
Minho loved talking to her, it made him happy. When the doctor had told them the gender earlier today, Duri had cried. Which of course made Minho tear up a little bit. The closer she got to her due date, the happier Minho got. He'd never been so deleriously happy in his life. The thought of seeing a child with his features and Duri's together. With a personality that reflected them both, and teaching their daughter to dance. He couldn't believe he'd never wanted to be a dad.
Minho's parents were incredibly excited, even his father suprisingly. They'd told his parents three months ago. Waiting until Duri was past the first trimester. His mother had instantly cried, and his father just clapped him on the back and gave an approving smile. Jae was excited too, she couldn't wait for another generation that she could help raise. She'd never had any children of her own.
"You talk to her more then me these days." Duri joked, pretending to pout.
"I talk to both of you." He laughed as he kissed her stomach one more time and flipped around to look at Duri, "I love you too" he said kissing her.
"We still have to think of names. We haven't even started to think about that yet. We've only got two or three months left" Duri said worried. "We have to figure out if we want to do traditional Korean or Western. Who knows" She said as she put both of her hands on her belly and spoke to the baby, "What is your name?"
"We'll figure it out" Minho said putting a hand on top of hers.
"I'm serious Minho. She needs a name. We can't have her be born without a name! What kind of parents would we be if she's born without a name?! I can't just--"
Minho put a finger to her lips "Shhhhhh. We'll figure out a name, ok? She's not going to be born without one. I promise."
"Ok" Duri replied quietly. "But--"
"No." He laughed. "We'll talk about it tomorrow, ok?"
"Ok." She smiled with sleep starting to fill her eyes, "I'm going to sleep. I'm exhausted."
"C'mere" He said opening his arms to her as she rolled on her side and snuggled up to Minho and put her arms around his waist as best she could with her belly.
"Maybe Jae can help us pick a name. I mean-"
"Duri." Minho laughed again, "She's going to get a name. I promise. Get some sleep, baby"

The next day Duri and Minho sat on the couch together. Duri brought three name books with her and highlighters.
"You're.....prepared." Minho laughed.
"Our child will be stuck with this name their whole life. We have a duty to her to pick a good one."
"Ok, ok. Where do we start?" He said wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"Aera?"
"No." Minho replied quickly making a face.
"Yeah, I don't know about that one either. Areum?"
"No."
"Bora?"
"No."
"Are you going to reject every single one?"
"No" He laughed at the look on her face.
"Ok" She laughed back.
"Da-Eun?"
"Nope" he shook his head. "Not even close to good"
"Olivia?"
"Huh?"
"Just throwing that one out there"
"Nah"
"Ok, back to Korean" she giggled. He could tell she was having fun with this.
"Eun-Ji!"
"Sounds like some kind of tea"
"Ruby? I've always kind of liked that one." She shrugged her shoulder while Minho thought about it.
"I like that one." He replied.
"Enough to name your child forever?" Duri laughed, hoping he liked it as much as she did.
"Yeah, I like it." He said. Finally after hours of looking at name they picked one. Duri put both hands on her belly and spoke.
"We picked a name for you little one! Your dad finally agreed to a name!"
"Lee Ruby, you have a name!" He laughed putting a hand on Duri's belly too.

3 months later
Duri was laying on the couch in the living room with her head in Minho's lap. He'd taken a couple weeks off of work before the baby got there to spend time with Duri. Just as her favorite k-drama was ending, it started.
"Minho?!" She said worried. "I think my water just broke."
"YAY!" He said sitting up and grabbing both of hers to help her up.
"No. No 'yay!', I gotta push her out of me!" Duri said, visibly worried. Minho pulled her close to his chest and kissed her forehead.
"It's ok. You're going to be awesome, Duri. Let's go! I'll call Jae!"
"Ok." Duri said worried. She felt like she was floating, like everything around her wasn't really happening.

Twenty six and a half hours later, Minho sat in the hospital room with little Ruby finally in his arms while Duri slept.
"Hi baby girl" he cooed "I love you little one."
Jae stood in the doorway to the hospital room, unnoticed by Minho. All of his attention taken by his little girl. She watched the two of them together, still surprised by how excited and happy Minho was. He'd spent most of his adult life expressing how he never had any desire to be a father.
"She's beautfiul, Minho" Jae said walking into the room and staring at the small baby in Minho's arms.
"She looks just like her mom" Minho said smiling.
"She better after what I just went through" Duri mumbled from her hospital bed. Minho let out a laugh trying not to wake up the baby.
"Do you wanna hold her?" Minho asked, Duri shook her head and tried to sit up a bit.
"Not right now, my body feels like spaghetti. I don't wanna drop her."
"May I?" Jae asked holding out her hands gently. Minho carefully handed the baby to Jae, moving out of the rocking chair so Jae could sit down.
"Oh, you are precious" She cooed at the baby. "She's got your eyes, Minho"
Minho stood next to Jae and looked over her shoulder. Smiling to himself, already a proud father and all his baby has done so far is poop. Duri looked at them both smiling weakly from her hospital bed. Minho walked over to her hospital bed and kissed her.
"We made a really cute baby" Duri said looking at Minho.
"Yeah, we did." Minho smiled back. Jae rocked back and forth in the chair singing an old korean lullaby to Ruby.
This was officially a perfect life for Minho. He had a wife he loved and an adorable little girl, he had a family. "She used to sing that lullaby to me as a kid" Minho laughed.
"And it put you right to sleep too!" Jae chimed in from her chair.
After an afternoon of family coming by to see the baby, cooing over the baby, singing to the baby, and Duri learning to feed the baby it was time for bed. Minho curled up on the very edge of the hospital bed holding Duri close to him while Ruby slept down in the nursery.
"You know, we could do this again." Duri said looking up at Minho. He laughed out loud and kissed Duri's forehead.
"I'd be one hundred percent okay with that." He whispered back to her.
"Just maybe we wait a couple years before that though." Duri laughed snuggling up to him.
"Whatever you want, baby. I love you."
"I love you too"
