I was pacing the room a worried and uneasy feeling settling inside ofme. Julia and I along with Chris's mate and kids were in the safe room of the pack house. The safe room was hidden behind the cupboard in one of the rooms with only a window for ventilation.

There was a tugging in my heart when I paused outside the window. Even Swannah ws silent the whole time. And Julia was pacing back and forth muttering to herself.

"I just don't understand why us women can't fight?" Julia asked.
"It's because he wants to keep us safe," I said, turning away from the window.
"But we can fight. We can protect ourselves. There's no need to keep us locked like prisoners," she said.
"He's just doing his Alpha duties. Even our mates wouldn't want us to get hurt. It would get them distracted," a woman said.
"Yeah well I think I have enough sharp claws to kill a few mongrels," Julia scoffed.
"Don't worry Julia. Everything will be fine," I assured her.
"I just want Zach to be alive," Julia sighed.
"We all want our mates to be alive young lady. Patience is all we need," another woman said.

It was after quite a while when a howl was heard. A howl so ferocious and terrifying it made us all shiver. Julia looked at me with wide eyes. She and I both knew who that howl was from.

Kade.

The two of us rushed to the window and tried looking out. It was useless. The window was so small it covered only a teensy bit of outside space. My heart was beating erratically. Something was happening outside. We could all feel it. A sense of fear enveloped us making our breathing escalate.

We all knew what it was.

The fear.

It was the fear of losing a leader.

The fear of losing an Alpha.

We all felt it. Swannah whimpered inside me begging me to go outside. I knew that if I stepped foot outside now Julia would follow me. And that would get her into trouble. And make Kade angry at me. And in the end make both of us worried about her.

"I can not believe this!"

We all turned towards Julia. She was trembling as her eyes changed color rapidly between herself and her wolf.

"Julia calm down," I said, approaching her slowly.
"He's alive. After all these years the bastard is alive," Julia spat.
"Were you seeing through Kade's mind?" I asked.
"Yes," she said.

Before I could ask who it was Julia pushed past me and out of the room. Fuck. Kade is going to murder me. Fuck Kade, Zach is going to murder me first.

"Please stay here until one of the leaders come to get you," I said.

I rushed out of the room calling Julia's name over and over. I skidded to a spot beside her and grabbed her arm.

"What are you doing?" I hissed.
"Trying to kill," Julia said.
"You can't go out there!" I exclaimed.
"You don't understand! I want to kill him myself!" She thrashed in my arms.
"Tell me who it is. Maybe we can kill him together," I said.

My words seemed to calm her down a bit as she stopped thrashing in my arms.

"It's our freaking father," Julia snapped.

As mates could see through each others eyes so could siblings. Wait. Their father? Wasn't their father dead?

"Isn't he dead?" I asked, puzzled.
"He was supposed to be dead. And I am going to kill him now!" Julia growled.

Before her words could register in my mind she escaped me again.

"Julia wait!" I shouted, running after her.

She was already outside by the time I caught up to her. Damn that Alpha speed and strength. The sight which greeted me made me want to puke and I put a hand over my mouth just in case I did vomit.

Bodies lay on the floor in their own blood. Some were in their wolf forms, some were in the transformation phase, while some were in human form. I quickly everted my eyes and gasped. Kade was surrounded by six to seven werewolves in their wolf forms. They had formed a circle around him.

My heart constricted in my chest at the sight. I knew that Kade was more than capable of looking after himself but I still worried for him. My eyes found a man standing outside the circle.

There was something odd about him. He had a long scar running on one side of his face. He looked oddly familiar. He had a smirk on his face which only widened when Kade was attacked. My eyes widened as I saw that it must be his father.

He was supposed to be dead. How is it that he's alive? His eyes turned towards me making me gasp and take a step back. His eyes were dull; almost as if life never existed in them.

"Ah Julia my daughter," He said.

His voice alone send shivers down my body. Not the good kind either. They were of the bad kind. Very bad. I was frozen on my spot. Because even though his voice was normal you could easily detect an Alpha power beneath it.

"I am not your daughter!" Julia growled.

Julia's words made me snap out of my gaze and focus on her.

"No Julia. Please let's just go," I pleaded.

I didn't like where this was going. I didn't liked it at all.

"You can deny it all you want. But my blood runs in you," he smirked.

I started inching closer to Julia; Swannah being awokened to protect her from harm. My hands started to feel clammy being in his presence. He was more than an Alpha wolf.

"How stupid could you be? How stupid could you be to think that I would get killed?" He snarled.
"We found your body. You were murdered!" Julia exclaimed.

I placed my arm around her for comfort knowing it was a very little support. I juat couldn't leave her here to defend for herself. Kade snarled and I looked in his direction. My heart squeezed as I saw blood oozing out of his black fur. I just hoped it wasn't his.

"That was a bloody damn good idea," He smirked.
"What is it that you need? Why have you come back?" I asked.
"Your friend over there has got a good brain," he said, looking at me.
"Answer her question," Julia growled.

Their father used his wolf speed to come closer to us making us gasp.

"You look a lot like her. Your mother," he whispered.

Julia froze and I squeezed her shoulder trying to calm her down.

"You are going to be a good girl right? And help daddy in destroying thus pack?" He whispered.

Kade's loud and ferocioud growl was heard making Julia snap out of whatever trans she was in.

"No!" Julia exclaimed.

Their father didn't get a chance to answer as Kade landed on top of him in his wolf form growling and snarling. His black fur was matted with blood. Their father too transformed into a brown wolf and pulled Kade off him.

It was a battle of the two Alphas.

We all had read about it.

I just hoped the good Alpha survived this.
