6:onions house.

Steven stood in the middle of the kitchen as if thinking to himself with a hand on his chin and the other proving his hand up. A toster was toasting bagels, a pan had an egg sizzling on it, and the counter had a plate with cream cheese and smoked salmon next to it. Steven's eyes moved to the objects in the kitchen, with a serious intent behind them.

The toaster dinged and Steven's eyes widened, as the beagles popped up, Steven grabbed them with both in-between his fingers, he picked up the egg with a spatula and placed it on the beagle with smoked salmon on top.

"Yes! Perfectly timed afternoon sandwich complete!" Steven pumped putting a glob of creamed cheese on the salmon and placed the other half of the beagle on top, he was about to eat it but paused, "Wait, I can't eat such a perfect sandwich all on its own! It needs a side." Steven said in a 'duh' voice. "But what?" Steven asked, looking around the kitchen, until the sound of the temple opening captured his interest.

Steven turned his eyes at the door just as Amethyst walked out. "Oh, hey, Amethyst. I made lunch. You want to eat this empty container?" Steven asked with a smile as Amethyst walked over to the couch. "No, thanks." Amethyst declined. "O-okay." Steven stuttered, it wasn't like Amethyst to decline food like that, gem or not.

"You seen Garnet or Pearl?" He asked as Amethyst jumped onto the couch. "Nope." She said her voice muffled by the cushions. "Any idea where they might be?" Steven asked. "I don't know." Amethyst sighed, she sounded exhausted. "Somewhere not talking to each other." She said gripping her long hair with one hand.

Steven hummed, looking at the sandwich again until it clicked. "Wait, I know what this meal needs!" Steven declared going to he cabinet and opening it. "A bag of-" Steven cut himself off gasping, as a hand gripped the chips from inside the cabinet.

Steven looked at the figure. "Onion?!" He yelled as the child jumped out of the cabinets chip bag in hand. As he dove off to the exit. "What the..." Steven spoke, soon realizing he ran to the front door shutting it with an "oh no you don't!" However Onion saw no problem jumping through the screen beside the door.

"ONION!" Steven growled, opening the door to chase after the little fellow. "We just put that screen in!" Steven yelled chasing after the chip thief. "Come back here!" The boy yelled as Onion ran down the steps. The two made it out to the sand.

"Those every going to complete my perfect lunch!" Steven yelled after the fast child. Soon they made it to the rock, where Steven started to pant.

"It's a special flavor that's only in stores for a limited time!" He yelled after the fast child, Onion smiled as if luring the boy as they made their way to his house.

"I know how you are with food! You're not even gonna eat them! Atleast let me have just one!" The boy pleaded as Onion made his way into a opened tarp.

"This is it, Onion. Nowhere to hide." Steven panted as he went through the tarp.

"Now just- just drop the bag and- uh... Onion?" Steven said as he began to look around the inside, a bunch of paintings all of them resembled Amethyst in some way, but no Onion. Steven gasped as he caught eyes with a clear Amethyst painting. "Amethyst?" Steven sweated his voice cracking just a bit. "Uh... thats really weird!" He said, unable to take his eyes off the drawing of one of his friends, but running out of the tarp and back into the streets.

"Um, so... I always knew Onion was weird, but... I think he's obsessed with you?" Steven trailed as he opened the curtain to show Amethyst the strange array of paintings of herself. "What do you think Amethyst?" Steven asked, before a sharp feminine voice cut through the place.

"Who's in there?! Now I don't know how you got past that tarp, but this is private property!" A woman appeared through the taro with a shot gun Amethyst seemed to recognizethe woman immediately. "Vidalia?!" Amethyst exclaimed "Amethyst?!" Vidalia exclaimed right after the gem. both laugh and go in for a hug. "Its been years!" Vidalia spoke, bending her knees to just bearly meet her height. "Man, you've changed." Amethyst said.

"You look terrible!" Amethyst insulted playfully. "You look the same...terrible!" Vidalia insulted with the same energy as they both burst into laughter, as Steven stands there his hands up defensively.

"Wait, what? Who's she? How do you know each other?" Steven asked in confusion. "Oh, we both kinda hung around your dad, but Vidalia's cooler than your dad, so we started hanging out without him." Amethyst briefly explained. "Is that Steven? Look at him! He looks just like Greg!" Vidalia compared. Steven looked at himself. "Thats good. That's good. He used to be super hot." Vidalia spoke waving a hand dismissively.

Amethyst looked at Vidalia with wide eyes, and they both started snickering, Steven brushed. "Uh, so did you paint these when you used to hang out?" Steven asked, changing the subject. "Yeah, some of them are new, though. Amethyst was my favorite model." Vidalia said as she looked at Amethyst.

"Can you Still turn into anything?" Vidalia questioned, Amethyst chuckled, walking up to a painting and turning into the thing saying: "anything but respectable." Before turning back, making Vidalia laugh. "Oh, man, we used to get into all sorts of trouble." Vidalia commented, picking up a picture and handing it to Steven.

"Now tell me, Steven," Vidalia says backing up with Amethyst. "Arent we just the spitting image of mischief?" Vidalia asked as Steven lowered the picture to see Vidalia posing and Amethyst standing straight. Amethyst looked at Vidalia and scoffed. "Hardly!" She chuckles. "Your wearing slippers." Amethyst pointed out.

"You don't know what I've done in these shoes!" Vidalia says and they both burst into laughter as Vidalia puts the picture back in its right spot. "Its great to see you again." Vidalia said. "Sorry it's been so long, I guess we've both been busy." she apologized. "Oh, yeah. I get it- kids." Amethyst said pulling an arm around Steven as the door opened.

"What about kids?" Steven asked just as Onion walked up to his mother, blue confetti caught in his small tuff of hair. "Oh, here's one now." Vidalia said noticing the child clinging on her leg. Onion looked at Steven with a blank stare and Steven stared back at him in spite.

"YOU'RE ONIONS MOM?!" Steven asked in confusion startling both gem and human as she stopped plucking blue confetti out the child's hair. Vidalia laughed and picked up the little rascal. "Yep! He's my little trouble maker." Vidalia took scissors out of the child's hands. "And Steven he loves talking about you." Vidalia said, as the Onion mumbled in Vidalia's ear.

"Oh! That's a great idea!" Vidalia praised then turned to Amethyst. "Steven, Amethyst, Onion wants to know if you'd like to stay for dinner." Vidalia told. "Um.." Steven chuckles. "We'd love to." Amethyst interjected, answering for the boy.

"Right Steven? Onions, like, your best friend." Amethyst said before returning her attention to Vidalia. "Now tell me what you did in those shoes, girl!" Amethyst said skipping after her pal.

"Mm, I can't eat another bite of" Amethyst chuckled, pushing an empty plate. "Whatever that was." Amethyst commented. "Oh it's just a little dish I like to call noodles and butter. "Vidalia spoke her head being propped up by her hand.

"I can't believe how long it's been." Amethyst said still unable to grasp it around her head. "I mean check this guy out." Amethyst pointed at Sourcream, who had his earphones in, moving his hands to the rythem of whatever music he's playing.

"I used to be bigger than him." Amethyst chuckles. "Do you ever hear from old forty Marty?" Amethyst teased. Vidalia hummed and laughed. "I don't know where that fool is! Don't care, either!" Vidalia remarked. "Its just been me and Yellowtail for a while now." Vidalia said a golden ring on her ring finger, shining in the light.

"Whhhaaatt?! Yellowtail?" Amethyst said, her eyes shimmering as the ring presented itself. "Yeah things just kind of happened, next thing you know I'm living with a fisherman." Vidalia commented pointing at the multiple pictures on the fridge.

Steven chewed his food as the two pals continue to talk. He looks up at the tall teen first. "Hey Sour cream." Steven greeted, Sourcream did not hear nor see because he kept jamming to his song, eyes closed in a mind of zen, until he opened his eyes, but closed them again.

Steven turned to Onion, his eyes narrowing, as the child sculpted something and turned it to Steven to show that, Onion was indeed, sculpting Steven. "Hey, it's me." Steven smiled, well until Onion licked the back of the sculptures head, while making eye contact with the boy. Then spit it back out...."why do you hate food?" Steven said, unnerved with the child.

"What about you Amethyst?" Vidalia asked, placing the dirty dishes in the sink, earning a "huh?" From Amethyst. "You haven't said a thing about yourself all night." Vidalia backed up. "Well, that's because my life is boring." Amethyst shrugged.

"All right, how are the gems?" Vidalia asked turning around to the purple gem. "I don't know. They're boring, too." Amethyst shrugged again. "Okay, thanks for dinner. Time to go, right Amethyst?" Steven rushed, startling the purple gem. "What's the hurry? We got nothing to do." Amethyst said, narrowing her eyes suspiciously at the boy.

"'Sids, and Amethyst-Vidalia party don't end till the sun comes up." Amethyst said. "Ma-ma!" Onion mumbled earning the attention of his mother who came to the child immediately. "Whats that?" Onion started mumbling something. "Oh, that's a great idea! Steven, Onion, wants to show you around the house." Vidalia told.

"What do you say? Can Onion tote you around?" Vidalia asked, Steven looked at the horrific child as lights flicker and techno music is heard. "Uh...w -what's going on?" The boy asked, fear setting into his body at a rather fast pace. "Oh, whenever Sourcream starts dj-ing, it uses all the electricity in the house. Good thing Yellowtails not here, it drives him nuts." Vidalia explained.

"Dude, your house is jacked." Amethyst compliments. "What can you do? Kids got to express themselves." Vidalia shrugged as the lights continued to flicker, Onion smashed the sculpture of Steven, making him go wide eyed while Vidalia laughed.

"You too, Onion. Very expressive. Looks like he's ready for you, Steven. Also don't mind Onions friend." Vidalia spoke. Onion looked up at Steven and smiled a small smile. Steven felt dread crawl up his spine.
