28:Logs With Her Name On It

"I can't believe I just did that!" Peridot yelled, gripping her recorder tightly and moving her head, making Labradorite grunt. "Madem Peri, please keep your head still if you want all the shards out of your hair." Labradorite comments, picking a piece of glass from Peridot's triangular hair.

"Your hair is so dense, it's hard to do this if your moving so erratically." Ever since that meeting with Yellow Diamond and Peridot's 'crystal gemming', dubbed by Labradorite herself, Peridot's been hysterical.

She would often repeat the phrases "I can't believe I did that!" Or "I'm a traitor to my homeworld!" Or something along those lines.

However today, Labradorite caught Peridot and forced her to sit. So now here they were.

Peridot sitting on the ground with her legs criss crossed and Labradorites thighs around her head, keeping her in place as Labradorite picked pieces of glass from her hair, sitting on a small crate she found in the barn.

Every time Peridot would move her head, Labradorite would tug on Peridot's pyramid hair and squeeze her thighs tighter around Peridot's head.

Peridot could basically feel the warmth of Labradorites gem against the back of her head, but during her turmoil, she elected to ignore it.

"I disobeyed my orders and went against yellow diamonds wishes!" Labradorite tugged again. "I'm a traitorous clod!" Another tug as Peridot moved her head up to the bright sky.

"I never want to think about what I've done again!" Peridot yelled into the recorder, earning another tug from Labradorite, before rewinding the tape back.

"I'm a traitorous clod!" The recorder repeated, making Peirdot laugh to herself, trying to wiggle her head out of Labradorite's tight grip.

"And I called Yellow Diamond a clod right to her face!" Peridot kicked her feet as Steven stood to the side, listening in to Peridot's mood swings.

"I called Yellow Diamond a clod right to her face..." Peridot gaped as her feet stopped kicking in the air, falling on the ground with a 'thump.' Peridot began to rewind the tape some more as Steven asked about Peridot's well being.

Peridot continued to rewind that tape. Labradorite was about to ask Peridot the same question before Peridot turned to Steven with a "No!" And a insane smile. Steven crouched down to the sitting Peridot. "It's all gonna work out. You're with us now!" Steven smiled, as if he were talking with a kindergartener.

Suddenly Peridot shoot up grabbing onto Steven's shoulder and sending Labradorite in a moment of shock.

"You don't understand! I'm protecting a planet I was once trying to destroy! I used to follow every order- every rule. Now I'm a traitor... a rebel! A crystal gem..." Peridot chuckled, backing up from Steven and replaying the tape to repeat the word "Clod!" Over and over.

"Well, that tape recorder seems to be helping." Steven comments, knocking Peirodt out of her replaying thing only for her to throw it in the  direction of Labradorite, yelling a "NO IT'S NOT!"

Labradorite jumped at the recorder coming at her, but if flew over her head. Labradorite heard the recorder hit something, which is weird, because behind her was an empty space, right?

Labradorite looked behind her and jumped to see the fusion, Garnet behind her, spending her into another moment of paralyzing shock.

"It's a chronicle of my decent into madness!" Peridot hollered as the Garnet walked up to Peridot and Steven.

"You dropped this." The Garnet says, offering the recorder back to Peridot. "Get it away from me." Peridot crawled on the ground behind the Garnet.

"Give it to Steven, return madness to it's source!" Peridot pointed to the Steven and covered her ears. "Are you sure you don't want it?" Steven asked as the Garnet gave the boy the tape recorder.

"Whatever it's yours now.  Yours. Yours. Not mine. Not mine. Yours. yours." Peridot feverishly repeated. Until the Garnet placed a hand on Peridot's shoulder. "Let's calm down." The Garnet smiled.

"...okay.." Peridot said as the Garnet picked her up, making her droop similar to a feline. "So am I going to have to wear a star? Where am at going to put the star?!" Peridot asked as she was carried away by the Garnet.

Labradorite shook her shock away  and got up from the crate. "Madem Peri! There is still more glass in your hair!" Labradorite stormed away to where Peridot was being carried off to.

Steven hummed and sat on the back of the truck, Steven's hand felt over a small cartridge. Steven grabbed the small cartridge and looked over it. It had a dark outside with 'Labradorite' written on the side. Steven looked at the recorder.

The cartridge seemed to fit. Steven ejected the tape that was in the recorder and placed the black cartridge into the recorder, rewinding all of it and pressing play.

----

"Log date 1-1-3-2, it has come to my attention I haven't been keeping logs on Labradorite, these new series of logs will be keeping track of Labradorite's process."

------

"Labradorite is still cracked, I have told her to take it easy, however, these Crystal gems won't let her, I wonder if they have something against forced fusions..."

----
"It seems the Steven has some kind of healing abilities, Labradorite's crack is healed and she's seems brighter then ever!"

----

"The perma fusion Garnet has asked me to fuse with her, even though it didn't work. I will tell Labradorite of my findings."

"Labby." Labradorite turned to Peridot's voice, a curious look on her face. "Madem Peri, it's good to see you back from the permafusion." Labradorite smiled, dropping the box she was holding and bounding over to the green gem.

"Right, Labby, you won't believe what The Permafusion had me try." Peridot snickers, making Labradorite tilt her head. "She had me try fusing! It didn't work but it's still funny!" Peridot laughed as she finished talking.

Labradorite stared pensivly at Peridot, making her stop. "What?" Peridot asked. "Do you want to?" Peridot's eye grew wide. "W-what?" Labradorite began to look away, her cheeks turning a darker shade.

"To- to fuse I mean, do you want to?" Peridot stared at her with large eyes that almost seemed to glow. "I- I mean, I shouldn't have brought it up, I'm sorr-"

Labradorite was interrupted by Peridot yelling "NO!". Labradorite turned her attention back to Peridot, mildly startled.

"I mean, I will try a second attempt, just let me get something!" Peridot ran out of the barn and shortly returned, with paint buckets with flames on her feet, making her gain a few inches to her height.

Labradorite had to look up at Peridot as she struggled to walk over to Labradorite. Once Peridot reached Labradorite, she was a few inches taller then Labradorite. "N-now I'm ready!" Peridot said, taking Labradorite's hands into her own.

The two gems in the dark barn started to dance to an invisible slow beat, their gems glowing dimly against the darkness.

Labradorite's moves were fluent and carefully thought out as she took a step back and another step to the side. Peridot's movements were slightly restricted and blocky, due to the stilts tied to her feet.

Until Peridot's knees buckled, making her fall. That is what would of happened if Labradorite hadn't spun around so quickly, the force knocked the stilts right off Peridot's feet. Both of their gems glowed and they felt a warmth. Not an unbearable one, it was more comfortable, more...safe.

Suddenly they fell. Peridot peaked an eye open to look for Labradorite. She wasn't there. "Labby?" Peridot gasped and two pairs of hands slammed onto her mouth.

That was not her voice, nor was it Labradorites. It had more of a british lean in the tone. Their eyes traveled down to their body.

That wasn't her outfit, nor her arms or color, it was more of a turquoise than anything. However instead of feeling anxiety, she felt safe. They felt safe.

Peridot looked to her stomach, there was Labradorite's gem. Labradorite's hands moved from her mouth to her forehead. Her fingers tracing over Peridot's triangular gem. Finally something clicked into their head. They fused.

After a moment of silence, a word, or a name came to them. Dioptase.

Suddenly they pulled apart, infusing. Both of them fell from their position, smiling wildly.

"We did it! Peri, we did it!" Labradorite cheered, getting up and picking the amazed Peridot up with ease, spinning her around.

Peridot, still dazed, gently hovered her hand over her stomach, where Labradorites gem once was. "Could... Could we do that again?"

----

"Labradorite has been a bit more agitated more often then not, she says it's not me, but she's had been making more and comments about the crystal gems, I think something is wrong..."

"Labby?" Labradorite jumped at the sound of her name. "Yes Peri?" Labradorite turned around with a smile, dispite her gripping one of her lower arms being a dead give away of her agitation. "Are you alright?"

"I am functional, yes. Why?" Labradorite spoke too quickly for Peridot's liking. Peridot stared a bit longer, noticing the way Labradorite's grip on her lower arm tightened.

Peridot looked up at Labradorite's eyes, she smiled wider. "You can tell me anything, right?" Peridot reminded, Labradorite gave a closed eye smile. "Of course! I trust you!"

Peridot looked at Labradorite with a worried glint in her eyes. "Okay... oh! Look it's Amethyst!" Peridot smiled pointing to the purple gem.

"Of course those dullards..." Labradorite muttered, before slamming her hands to her mouth, Peridot looked at Labradorite with a confused stare. "What was that, Labby?"

Labradorite put her hands down and looked over at Peridot with a large smile. "Nothing Peri, oh look! The Amethyst is  coming this way! I'll see you later!" Labradorite excused, not letting Peridot get a word in before she summoned her wings and flew away.

-----

"Fusing seems to keep her agitation at respectable levels, however, I have noticed that both her sides were usually in turmoil, mostly the Aquamarine was angry whilst the Pearl was trying to calm her. I won't mention it to Labradorite, but I'm worried about the toll it will take on her emotions. So I have proposed to Labradorite that we practice fighting with Dioptase. Surprisingly, she accepted."

"Okay, Labby, this is practice, if we ever fight with Dioptase, we'll know what abilities she'll possess." Peridot spoke to Labradorite a few feet away from her. Labradorite stretched, nodding along to what Peridot was saying. "Of course Peri, how could I forget?" Labradorite spoke, peaking an eye towards Peridot a small smile on her lips.

"Right, anyway, let us begin!" Peridot said, walking towards Labradorite, her gem glowing. Labradorite walked towards Peridot her gem glowing brightly as well.

Both of the gems excitement built as they strutted toward the other. Peridot jumped and Labradorite caught her into a spin. Fusing once more.

Although it was they have fused more then once, it still felt as comfortable as the first time. Dioptase smiled, opening her eyes. "Welcome back." Dioptase muttered to herself, stretching her arms over her head.

In quick succession, Dioptase took the ribbon from her hair and summoned her weapon from her gems, easily crashing them together to create a weapon and posed.

Dioptase twirled her weapon around and sliced the air with a smile. "This will be fun." Dioptase said summoning a Pearl hologram  from her lower gem.

The Pearl didnt look like Pearl, instead it looked closer to Labradorite. That must be her Pearl side. Peridot thought.

"Advance mode activate." Dioptase said, not even giving the hologram a chance to speak as she got into fighting stance. "Advance mode engaged!" The hologram spoke,o their eyes narrowing as they looked at the fusion, sword in hand. The hologram acted first, sprinting at the fusion, their sword in front of their body.

The hologram swung at the fusion. Dioptase spun to the side, the sword barely making contact with their nose. During her spin, Dioptase kicked her leg out, kicking the hologram back into a tree. "You're good, but not good enough!" The hologram spat, charging toward the fusion.

Dioptase smirked and stilled, her eyes closed, and two of her left arms gripping her staff. As the hologram neared, Dioptase snapped her eyes open and smacked the hologram with the blunt end of her staff.

Dioptase charged towards the hologram and summoned her wings, taking into the air and diving towards the hologram. The hologram looked up to see Dioptase, a smirk on her face and her staff coming down on the Hologram. The blade of the staff sliced the hologram, making it dissipate.

The hologram formed whole again with a "defeat accepted! Try again?" As Dioptase landed on the ground. "Try again, same mode." Dioptase spoke, sticking her staff in the ground to stretch. "Brace yourself, I won't hold back!" The hologram said before charging at Dioptase.

Dioptase yawned and grabbed her staff, twirling it in her hands, before stopping the twirl short, making the blunt end with her ribbon facing the hologram. Blue light shown from the end, enveloping the hologram within it's confines.

Dioptase yawned again. "Can we start already?" Dioptase asked to herself, rolling her eyes at the hologram she made. Dioptase slammed the Hologram to the ground and cut the light, making another slash on the hologram.

"Defeat accepted, try again?" The hologram said, Dioptase waved the hologram away. "No more training." Dioptase spoke, flipping her hair away from Peridot's gem. "It was good to be back." Dioptase breathed and glowed brightly, unfusing.

Peridot stood stunned as Labradorite smiled brightly at the green gem, a genuine smile. "That was a wonderful session, madem Peri! I look forward to doing this again!" Labradorite smiled, her eyes brighter then the surrounding stars.

Labradorite hugged Peridot and picked her up, summoning her wings and flying out of the forest. "Yeah... again..." Peridot finally spoke  through her shock. Peridot didn't do anything through Dioptase this time, anything that Dioptase did was either, Dioptase herself or Labradorite. At least she got to see what her Pearl side looked like.

-----

"I am aware of Labradorite's counterparts, however I have to doubt her memory abilities, I will be testing them later today."

"Labby." Peridot spoke as she walked up to the forced fusion. Labradorite looked up her eyes laced with confusion. "Yes Peri?" Peridot looked away at how Labradorite's eyes sparkled at the attention.

"Will you please remind me how my pairing chart goes." Peridot handed Labradorite a sheet of paper and crayons. Labradorite blinked at her for a moment and shrugged, seeing as Peridot was dead serious. "Okay..?" Labradorite took the paper and crayons and began to sketch it.

After a few minutes later, Labradorite handed Peridot her final product. Peridot took the paper from behind her back and side by sided both the papers together.

They were basically indistinguishable. Peridot looked up at Labradorite's smiling face, then at the papers in her hand. "You really don't forget anything." Peridot muttered as Labradorite looked at Peridot confused. "I tell you that almost every two earth rotations, Madem Peri." Labradorite said, slightly dumbfounded.

------
"Hiding Dioptase from the Crystal Gems is hard, but now Dioptase doesn't have to be hidden, she did it herself."

Dioptase hummed to herself as she brushed off any specks of dust that was on her form from laying on the ground. Dioptase didn't know why, but being fused was so easy. It was like her two counterparts wanted to be fused together. Dioptase didn't mind though.

It was more time with herself. "Peridot?! Labradorite?!" Pearl called out, presumably looking for the two gems. Dioptase rolled her eyes, it seemed the crystal gems were looking for them. As much as she thought they didn't deserve to see her.

Dioptase stepped out of the barn and strutted past the fusion, her eyes closed and a small smirk on her face.

Garnet looked in awe for  a moment and smiled brightly as Dioptase walked past her and to Pearl and Amethyst, who seemed to be having a argument. Dioptase walked in between them and pushed her lowest hands out to their chests.

"Bicker, bicker, bicker,  is that all you know how to do when you see each other?" Dioptase asked, looking at the two with bored eyes.

"Who do you think you are?!-" Pearl cut herself off, catching a glimpse at Peridot's and Labradorite's gems on the fusion. "Yeah! Who do you-" Amethyst stopped, eyeing Dioptase for  a moment and laughing. "Ohhh! Haha! The lover gems finally fused, aye? What's your name?" Amethyst laughed, nudging Dioptase's arm.

Dioptase blushed lightly, but brushed the comment off. Dioptase bowed and lifted Amethyst's hand. "The names Dioptase, you must be the Amethyst." Amethyst's cheeks turned a dark violet hue as Dioptase planted a small kiss on the back of her hand, maining direct eye contact.

Dioptase straightened up and lingered on Pearl's slightly rigid form. "And you must be the Pearl, pleasure to meet you both." Dioptase spoke, bowing to the Pearl, whilst picking up her hand and planting a kiss on the back of it.

Pearl blushed a faint teal as Dioptase winked at her. "Welp, I best get going." Dioptase straightened up. "It's a shame, this couldn't last longer." Dioptase sighed and stretched her hands over her head before walking away.

Dioptase waved a farewell and went behind the barn, unfusing. "Bye..." Pearl and Amethyst said in unison, both their cheeks dusted in a dark hue. Dioptase definitely left an expression.

----

Steven ejected the tape as it was the most recent thing that happened. Steven grabbed the cartridge that was first in the recorder and placed it back in the recorder before rewinding it.
