"She is an unstable fusion, we should have expected this when she had gotten overwhelmed." Pearl said, holding the still warm tear drop gem in the palm of her hand.

Garnet hummed, her arms crossed in thought. "Oh, how are we going to tell Peridot about this?" Pearl asked, looking down at the gem.

"We aren't." Pearl looked up at Garnet with a confused look. "What do you mean, Garnet." Garnet looked from the gem to the Pearl's eyes.

"That Labradorite will likely reform before Peridot gets here." Garnet explains. Knowing Garnets future vision, Pearl sighed of relief. "Oh, good."

All of a sudden the warp pad went off. "We have returned with the repurposed injector drill head!" Peridot was back. Pearl shoved Labradorite's gem into Garnets hands and went to greet them.

"You're back! And you got the drill head, wonderful!" Pearl smiled nervously, Peridot nodded and pushed past Pearl.

"Alright, where's Labradorite?" She asked, Pearl fiddled with her hands. "Uhm, well you see, Peridot, Labradorite has, uhm..."

Garnet came beside Peridot and held Labradorite's gem out to her. "She got overwhelmed." Peridot immediately grabbed the gem from Garnets hand, holding it close to her chest.

"What did you clo- crystal gems do!?" Peridot yelled, looking over Labradorite's gem for any scratches.

"It was a simple accident! We didn't mean to..." Pearl reached for Peridot, she took a step back. "I can't leave Labradorite with any of you, can I?" Peridot scoffed and walked away.

Steven sighed as Amethyst grunted, her mood was sour ever since she got back. "Man, they're never gonna trust us now, what happened, Pearl?" Steven looked over at Pearl.

"I, uhm, may have asked Garnet to get her from the roof." Pearl said, Steven looked at her funny. "But she's terrified of Garnet!" Everyone could see it, but asking Garnet to get Labradorite is quite literally an easy way to get Labradorite poofed. "I know, but I thought the outcome would be different."

Labradorite still hasn't reformed. Peridot has stayed by her side for a full 40 minutes, she gathered soft material she found in the barn and turned it into a nest around Labradorite's gem for optimal comfort.

Apart from that, Peridot doesn't let any crystal gems around her gem, she'd growl when any of them came near, aside from Steven. If they didn't head her warning and stepped closer, they'd immediately get chased.

Well, Peridot would just lunge at them, curtisy of the harness and leash now tied to the wooden pole. Apart from guarding Labradorite's gem, Peridot has been purposely naming items incorrectly to get the Amethyst to laugh at her jokes, to which the Amethyst just glares at the Peridot and turns away from her.

"Why isn't she laughing when I do these things?" Peridot asked Steven as Amethys brushed off another one of her 'jokes'. "Peridot, you really hurt her feelings." Steven said, looking away from the puzzled Peridot.

"What?" Peridot said. "You were pretty mean to her at the kindergarten." Steven says, Peridot looks confused. "Mean? No way! I was being... cool, Amethyst loved it!"

Peridot looked over at where the rest of the Crystal gems were. "She's probably telling the Peal how much fun she had now!"

Once the Amethyst laid her eyes on Peridot who was desperately trying to get her attention, her smile fell as she glared and turned away, walking into the barn, making a Peridot pause.

"She... she won't even look at me. It's making me feel...smaller. just like what Labby did." Peridot placed a hand on her head. "You feel bad. That's how you made her feel." Steven explained, Peridot looked over at Steven and scoffed.

"Who cares about how she feels? The only one I'm worried about is Labby! You're all just rocks! Ruddy Muddy clumps beneath my gravity connectors!" Peridof yelled, stomping around like a toddler having a tantrum. Peridot growled and fell right beside the nest of soft fabrics she made for Labradorite's gem. "If only you were here."  Peridot muttered. "Huh?" "Nothing!"

Peridot growled at the wiring of the drill as Steven held Peridot's leash in one hand and the soft fabrics covering Labradorite's gem in the other.

Peridot stopped for a moment to watch Amethyst walk by, before continuing to struggle with the wires. "How's everything going up there?" Steven  asked.

"I'm fine. There's nothing wrong. Everything's fine" Peridot replied quickly, pressing a few buttons in the machinery as she stuck a wire in the machines pad.

The drill whirled to life, Peirdot saw and desperately tried to stop it. "No, no, no, no! Stop!"  She yelled. "Peridot?" Steven asked worriedly at Peridot's shift in attitude.

The drill started up, making Peridot fly off the drill. "The panel!" Peridot said in-between coughs, Steven glared at the started up machinery.

Steven placed the fabric down and  hopped up on the machine as it started to spin away from its original spot, Peridot chasing after them. That is until the leash was caught by a rock, making her unable to move.

Steven screamed as the drill became out of control, spinning hysterically. The Amethyst came from behind the corner, right where the drill was heading.

"Amethyst!" Peridot shouted as she struggled to get from the rocks grip. Peridot tugged on the leash until it snapped, making her bolt and knocked Amethyst out of the path of the drill.

"It's okay! Everything's okay! It's was just a drill!" Steven laughs weakly as the drill stopped. Peridot coughed as dust came up and quickly faded, making her look underneath her.

Amethyst looked up at her with wide eyed. Peridot returned the same look. "Uhhh.. Peridot?" Perodot immediately jumped up from the position they were in with a scream.

"it was an accident! I swear!" Peridot yelped. Steven came up beside her. "Hey don't worry about it. We know you didn't mean to start the drill." Steven patted Peridot shoulder.
"...uh yeah, that was an accident too." Amethyst tenses.

Suddenly something in the distance glows, it immediately catches Peridot's attention. Peridot dashed to the spot and waites eagerly for Labradorite to reform. Once the bright light died down there was Labradorite! But something was off...

It wasn't very noticeable, but white gloves that reached her elbows were on her upper arms.
"We leave for one second and everything goes off the rails!" Pearl yells her hands on her head.... "I blame the cows." Garner commented. "No, it's fine! It's fine! We'll rebuild it stronger, better! We'll add seatbealts!" Pearl commented.

Labradorite looked around, rubbing at her eyes. Peridot crushed Labradorite in a hug, shocking the poor Forced Fusion. "Labby, you're back!" Peridot squeezed Labradorite tightly, placing her head in her chest.

After a few moments of shock, Peridot felt two pairs of arms hold her form. "Labby, I did something bad." Peridot muttered. "What happened while I was gone?" Peridot heard something click, but didn't take notice of it..

"This entire planet is backwards. There hasn't been one instance of correct behavior exhibited by any one of these Crystal gems." Peridot looked up at Labradorite, who had a smile on her face as she let out a hum of understanding. "I have concluded that they are all defective..." Peridot muttered, Labradorite let out another hum.

"but we are no better, are we, Madem Peri?" Labradorite said, Peridot looked away as all of Labradorite's eyes trained on Peridot.

"No, we aren't. I failed my mission, and now we're working with the enemy, and I can't even get that right." Peridot says, Labradorite gave another hum, this time, one of confusion.

"I apparently 'hurt' Amethysts 'feelings', which was not my intent." Peridot began to play with the fabric on Labradorite's blazer.

"If I've damaged my standing with the best gem here, then I've made a serious mistake. I'm still learning. I hope she understands. I want to understand, I'm sorry." Peridot apologizes, Labradorite chuckles lightly.

"Don't tell that to me." Peridot looks up at Labradorite as they pull away from their embrace. Labradorite gave Peridot her recorder back, clicking it off and replaying it. Peridot's  eyes grew wide as the recorder replayed their conversation.

"Tell that to her." Labradorite pointed to the Amethyst that was pulling something out of the ground in the distance with Steven beside her. "I'll wait here." Labradorite pushed Peridot toward the two gems.

Peridot looked back at Labradorite once more. Labradorite smiled and gestured her to go on. Peridot cleared her throat and walked off toward their direction.

Labradorite sat down and watched as Peridot talked with the two, showed them the recording, and Amethyst walked off .

Steven and Peridot exchanged some words and Peridot walked in Labradorite's direction with a smile. It went good, Labradorite could tell.

But it doesn't mean she trusted Amethyst or any gem except Peridot. But she was happy they weren't trying to kill Peridot. That was the only thing that mattered.
