The next day at night the crystal gems began to look for malachite. "Ugh this isn't getting anywhere!" Pearl complained, Amethyst turned holding Steven by his legs while the rest of his body was deep in the water. "Whats the matter perogie? You tired?" Amethyst asked not noticing Steven lightly kicking his legs to get her attention. "I don't get tired. I get results." Pearl said just as Steven kicked his legs violently.

"Was the sign for 'pull me up' one wiggle or two?" Amethyst asked "Amethyst, stay focused." Amethyst dropped Steven in the water with wide eyes. "For all we know Lapis and Jasper's fusion could be right under our noses!" Steven bubbled up to the surface infront of Pearl. Steven spit out a fish and placed it back in the water. "This is why we wear life jackets." He said in a slight grumpy tone. "Are- are you all right?" Pearl asked, Garnet grabbed Steven from out of the water and jumped on the raft. "Nothing." Garnet said placing Steven on the floor of the raft making him flop like a fish out of water. "Ugh! it feels like we've been searching for light years!" Pearl flops down on the floor of the yellow raft.

"Uh light years measures light-" Amethyst pokes Steven in his abdomen and he spits out another fish. "-not years." Pearl groans. "And I'm sick of these....life diapers." Pearl says in distress. "Safety is no punch line Pearl." Steven comments as he grabs a life jacket and walks over to Garnet. "Saftey is our job, we must find Jasper and Lapis,-" she grabs the life jacket out of Steven's hands and throws it over board. "As it stands." She flashes her own life jacket on her torso. "Their fusion is a ticking time bomb." Steven furrowed his eyebrows as he frowned. "Is Lapis gonna be okay?" Steven asked. "She had control when she used her power to drag their fusion into the ocean, but a fusion like theirs is unstable, bound together by anger and mistrust that bond snaps, their anger will take over and destroy." Garnet explains.

"Dont worry, Lapis, we won't let you sleep with the fishes" Steven says tired then yawns. "We're gonna have to keep looking, but first, lets bring Steven home." Garnet looked down at the young boy sleeping in the raft. "Huh? What?wha? No! I'm- I'm- I'm fine." Steven said, standing up. "Let's- let's go fishing. First on to catch something wins." Steven says walking over the draft and almost I. The water if it weren't for Garnet who caught the child saying 'I win'.

"We should be out there searching! Not in here not searching!" Pearl squawked walking in the beach house. "Sleep is a curse and yet a curse I need to live- Steven universe ." Syeven said drowsy. "Steven isn't like us. He needs rest." Garnet said. "Dont you guys need rest too? You look exhausted." Eteven said and truth be told they look terribly exhausted.

"We look awesome." Garnet said. "Look, you can't really knock sleep, until you try it.-" Steven said grabbing the pillows from the couch. "-and maybe we can throw a little fun into the mix with a slumber party!" Steven said placing the pillows oh the floor. "F-fun?" Pearl asked. "Yeah. All of us together peacefully dozing off. It'll be like there isnt a vengeful fusion boiling the ocean with hatred." Steven said "Steven's right. You should stay here and relax, but I'm going, cause I'm always relaxed." Garnet said through her teeth. "But Garnet you couldn't possibly search the ocean by yourself, let me- let us help you, we're a team!" Pearl said Garnet interjected, "no. Right now you're a party- a slumber party. Steven put these gems to bed. Don't stay up too late. There's snacks in the fridge. Bye." Garnet said walking back to the warp pad and warping away.

"Now before we get this slumber party started,-" Steven grabbed a tray with stuffed animals. "-would either of you care for a slumber companion?" Steven finished holding out the tray to the two gems. "I'm good." Amethyst stand before immediately falling asleep. Steven let out a hum then moved on to Pearl. "Pearl?" Steven asked. "I'll pass on the slumber pals." Pearl said. "Okay. Sleep it up then." Steven said walking away with the tray of stuffed animals. "Oh, right." Pearl crisscrossed her legs and halfway closed her eyes, "is this right?" Pearl asked. "No, you should lay down." Steven replied. "I get it now." Pearl lays down on her stomach and moves her pillow to where her head is still halfway closing her eyes. "Am I doing it?" She asks Steven walks over to Pearl. "Well thats way better than before-." He sat down infront of Pearl "but close your eyes all the way." Pearl closes her eyes. "Okay. Allright. I'm sleeping now. I'm sleeping." Pearl said. "You can't talk while you sleep." Steven commented. Pearl's eyebrows furrowed in frustration as she opened her eyes. "How's this even supposed to work!" Pearl said. "It's easy, you just like down, get nice and comfy, don't move and don't think about anything." Steven said as he started to doze off

(Time skip cause I am not doing the dream sequence) .

Steven jolted awake. "Are you okay?" Steven opened his eyes and saw Pearl all up in his space. Steven backed up into the big window. "Oh man, I feel asleep and had this weird dream, I opened the door and Lapis was there and-" Steven was cut off by Pearl. "Well that doesn't make way sense Lapis is fused with Jasper at the bottom of the ocean." Pearl said Steven looked at Pearl. "You've never had a dream before, huh?" Steven asked. "Uh I don't think so."

"Well Pearl dreams don't always make sense, when you dream the thoughts in your head get all mixed up into a weird movie and they're really hard to explain, which is why they're boring to listen to, like-" Steven sighs. "-this one time, I had a dream where like these things were being sold at the big donut, right? But the front door of the big donut shop led to the back of my dad's van-" Amethyst had woken up and placed her head in the creak of her elbow.

Pearl felt her eyes getting droopy "So I go into the van and lion Is driving for some reason but-" Pearl yawns "-...he's driving really well and- and I say to him I says 'lion-" Steven yawns. "Lion, how did you learn to drive you a v-van you can't even..." Steven started to get drowsy "you....you can't.... bring.... me.....my..." Steven fell into a deep slumber.

A shadow was in the window behind the sleeping Steven, it looked to be flying with transparent water like fairy wing. two pairs of eyes trained on the boy, wondering if he was alive or not, until she was called attention to the hologram coming from the Pearl's gem, three hands were pressed up against the glass and one gloved hand brushed up against her teardrop shaped light blue gem on her navel, stars enveloped in her eyes as she saw the hologram showing pictures, not noticing the boy, waking up from his slumber.

Steven jolted awake with a gasp and muttered 'Lapis!'. Once the world faded in he heard the sound of laughing coming from Amethyst. "Amethyst? Hey what are you laughing at?" Amethyst, still laughing, pointed at the hologram on the ceiling.

On the hologram Pearl was hugging the back of rose quartz laughing. "Oh rose! this is wonderful!" Holo Pearl said surfing on a pizza slice. "I'm just having so much fun spending time with you, Rose! Forget about Greg. Let's go travel the galaxy!" Pearl said with sparkles in her eyes. "Pearl, thank you so much...-" rose quartz said her back to Pearl but she sounded an awful lot like Greg."-For fixing my van!" Greg said turning around showing his bearded face. Pearl screeched as Greg spit out a pizza.

Pearl woke up, shutting off the hologram from her gem, and sitting up looking at the window. There was nothing there. Amethyst chuckled. "Pearl?" Steven asked to get her attention. "Uh... Yes Steven?" Pearl said trying to rid herself of that nightmare. "I had another dream about Lapis." Steven says. "Oh... thats okay! Dreams aren't real! They're just mixed-up movies!" Pearl says trying to reassure herself than Steven. Steven didn't believe her.

"But I-I think I was talking to her!" Steven explains, Pearl looked him over. "Wait. How do you know?" Pearl asked. "I don't, but I could just feel it, she was yelling, and she was really freaked out." Steven responded, Pearl's eyes went wide."What did she say? Is she still in control?" Pearl asked giving Steven enough time to answer the questions. "I...I don't know."

"Steven you could be using your dreams to connect with her mentally." Pearl said. "Can you do it again? Maybe Lapis can just tell you where they are." Amethyst asked. "I guess I have to go back to sleep. Quick, Pearl, tell me about your dream, so I can fall asleep." Steven said flopping his back on the floor, Pearl was taken back by the demand. "M-my dream?" "Come on Pearl! It's for the greater good!" Amethyst says smirking before laughing. Pearl sighs and says "if I must." Before inhaling. "So in my dream I was-" Pearl was cut off by snoring she let out a small 'what?' As Amethyst laughs. "Wow! He been sleep."

Time skip I'm not doing dat dream :P

The shadow flew away from the house and walked down the street where she bumped into someone, with a gulp she looked up to see a teen with glowsticks on his wrist and blue eyes, the teen looked down at the gem and smiled. "You look cool kid, my names sour cream, what's yours?"

"Labradorite. I'm Labradorite."

"Lapis!" Steven exclaimed, breathing heavily, Pearl hugged Steven. "Steven it's okay. we're here now." Pearl said in a hushed voice. "Did you see her?" Amethyst asked. "Yeah. She's still fused. And she's still in control, but I don't know for how long- and-"

Steven cut himself off by the hearing of footsteps coming from the stairs everyone turned to see Garnet. "This is a weird party." Garnet comments Steven runs up to her. "Garnet!" And hugs her legs. "Steven, you're still awake." Garnet said slightly confused.

"Amethyst was on a skateboard and then dogcopter mowed at me and was just not interested in what I had to say at all! And I might have some issues I need to work out... but Lapis she's out there and shes still-" Steven was cut off by Garnet shushing. "I know your worried, but there's nothing we can do right now." Garnet picks Steven up by his striped shirt.

"So let's take it easy." She plops Steven down on the ground. "I'll show you how it's done." Garnet says as she cracks her knuckles. Garnet backs up turns to the window and flops on the ground, presumably sleeping. "Thats pretty convincing." Pearl admits. "Garnet?" Steven asked to see if she's awake. A few seconds later you could hear soft snoring from the gem.

"I like you Labradorite, your cool." Sour cream said before digging in his pocket, he pulled out a 20$ bill and a purple glow bracelet, and handed them to the gem. Labradorite gave a tilt of the head as she held the 20 dollars in her gloved midhands and the bracelet in her front-hands.

"Human sour cream what are these for?" Labradorite asked, holding out the green paper and bracelet. Sour cream chuckled and he tapped the bracelet in the blue gems hands. "Well this is an accessory you wear on your wrist just because it looks good and this- " He tapped the 20 dollar bill in her middle hands.

"-is currency here you can trade these dollars in for stuff, you can spend it at the big donut shop, the friesmans stand, funland, or fishstew pizza. Got all that?" Sour cream said and
Labradorite nodded, said a quick 'thank you human sour cream' and walked away placing the 20 dollars in her gem and the bracelet on her wrist and flew away.
