14: rains new.
It had been only a week and a half with the crystal gems new 'roommates' but they seem already done with them keeping information.
Garnet knocked on the door. "Open the door Peridot. If this 'Cluster' is putting us in danger, you need to tell us what it is so we can stop it!" The fusion, which Labradorite come out learn is Garnet yelled through the door.
Labradorite went to get up from the bathtub, only for Peridot to hold her back. "Don't listen to them Labradorite, I'll take care of it. " Peridot stomped over to the door.
Ever since Peridot learned of Labradorite being kind of healed in water, she bearly lets Labradorite leave the tub, in hope of her gem healing itself.
And it kinda worked now all that's there is a chip down the middle, only preventing her from being able to summon her wings and live freely without pain.
"No! I Hate you! We're not telling you anything about the cluster!" Peridot growled. "Oh come on! Is it like a big, uh, hunk of granola?" The Amethyst asked, Peridot tilted her head, taking a glance at Labradorite who just shrugged, making Peridot look back at the door.
"What's granola?" Peridot was ignored at the Pearl began to dismiss the theory of it being granola. "Now Peridot. I'm sure we can reach some sort of agreement. Perhaps a trade is in order?" The Pearl said in a calm voice.
Labradorite backed up in a corner furthest from the door, she still hasn't gotten used to the crystal gems, dispite their frequent visits. She knew the Amethyst could pack a punch, the fusions height alone sends her running to the nearest door, and the Pearl... she stabbed her in the chest and she still hasn't gotten an apology.
Even Peridot has seen how uncomfortable Labradorite was whenever she heard the Pearl's voice through the door, all she knew was those Clods did something bad and now Labradorite's gem is cracked and she flinches every time those lumps of dirt come around.
"Oh sure. Why don't you just give me back my limb enhancers with my screens my logs and all my information and fix Labradorite's mental state! Oh wait. you destroyed all of them! So, no, I don't think we can reach some form of agreement!"
Peridot snarled, as the toilet flushed and Steven appeared from behind Peridot.
"Okay Peridot, you can turn around now." Steven immediately left the bathroom, Peridot shut the door behind him.
"sorry for interrupting you interrogation." Steven was heard apologizing. "Don't worry about it Steven." The Garnet said
"I swear Peridot is gonna crack any second now." The Pearl spoke angrily. "I'll never crack to the like of you, you.. Crystal CLODS!" Peridot snickers at the door before turning away from the door, walking to the tub as the Pearl started to seethe.
"I got your Clods right here you little-" "hold on, Pearl." The Garnet said as Peridot sat next to the tub on to mess of curtains that Labradorite eventually pushed out the bath.
"If she's not gonna be of help, let's investigate this thing on our own." The gems finally walked away from the bathroom.
Since it was quite silent in the bathroom, Labradorite and Peridot caught a little bit of dialog from the Pearl.
"Don't worry, she's harmless without her limb enhancers."
That set Peridot off. "I'M NOT HARMLESS!" Peridot yelled at the door and began to rant. "Who does that Pearl think she is!? I know Yellow Diamonds Pearl thinks highly of herself but that's because she's YELLOW DIAMONDS Pearl!!-"
Peridot was cut off by the Pearl saying "oh, hush up!"
Peridot gritted her teeth, but calmed down slightly. "Alright Labradorite, let's check on your gem."

As thunder rolled around Steven decided to make himself a soup. "They left, you know. You can come out now." Steven said, turning to the bathroom door.
"No! W-we like it in here." He heard Peridot say. Steven looked at the door with uncertainty. "Okay.." Steven turned back to his broth, then looked at the window. It was raining. Steven smiled, looks like a day inside.
"Wow. It's really coming down." Thunder cracks once he said that. The door to the bathroom kicked open. Peridot stumbled out, dragging Labradorite with her.
Peridot hit the wall and stumbled, a disheveled Labradorite keeping her steady. "It's happening!!" Peridot yelled horrified
The Steven looked more confused then terrified as he closed the pot on his food. "What?" The Steven asked as Peridot scrambled towards him. "The Cluster!" Peridot and Labradorite said in an almost unison.
"Really?" Steven asked finally feeling fearful, placing the cap on the pot. "What else could be making that horrible-" another strike of thunder make Peridot and Labradorite scream.
"It's pounding on the Earth from the inside!" Peridot rants, holding Labradorite close for comfort. "This is it. This is the end of the world. Labradorite, please know that you were a great colleague and I am glad I met you!"
Peridot whimpers, Labradorite sniffles and hugs Peridot tighter.
"Oh that's just thunder!" Steven said, the two gems pulled away. "What?" They both asked. "Yeah everything's fine, it's just thunder. it happens when it rains." The two gems give The Steven a weird look.
"Uh...huith?" Peridot looked over to see the rain drumming on the window. "I don't know anything without my screen." "I just don't know anything." Peridot and Labradorite said, looking down at the ground.
"It's okay, here, pretend this soup is the ocean." The Steven said "when the sun warms it up, the water evaporates into clouds." Steven grabs the pots top again and opens it, letting steam rise from the pot. "Like this steam."
Steven closes the lid back up. "And when the clouds get really heavy, it rains." Steven says. "So scalding liquid pours down from the sky?" Labradorite asked, tilting her head. "No, no, it's just water. It can't hurt you." Steven shook his head, turning to Peridot and Labradorite.
"Here, why don't I just show you guys." Steven says placing the utensil down and walking to the door, Peridot and Labradorite hesitantly following behind. Steven opened the door and immediately cheered, going down the stairs into the rain, ignoring Peridots calls for him.
Peridot held onto Labradorite tightly, what if this rain hurt her? "Uh.. oh." Peridot mumbled. "Come on!" Steven laughed, beckoning the two gems outside.
"Look, I'm okay! It's just water. This is just somethingthat happens on Earth. Isn't it cool?" Steven smiled and laughed as he danced in the rain. Eventually he slipped and fell, but continued to laugh. Slowly Peridot's grip on Labradorite loosened until she fully let go.
Labradorite looked at Peridot with a slight smile and stepped in the rain, jumping slightly at the cold, buts smiled nonetheless. Labradorite looked at Peridot beckoning her forward with her hands, waiting for Peridot to respond.
Peridot looked at her hand and slowly she touched the rain, flinching at the cold, however it didn't stop her too much. Peridot stepped into the rain and took Labradorite's hands into her own.
Labradorite smiled at Peridot and wiped a lone tear streaming down her face.
"Yeah! you did it!" Steven cheered shaking them from their thoughts. "What do you think? Isn't it cool?" Steven began to laugh and spin in circles again. "Cool..." the two gem said quietly in unison.
