First Day

Izuku had received his acceptance letter from UA. He'd gotten 70 villain points, putting him in a comfortable second place, however was boosted into first by a hidden scoring system.

There was also an extra message at the end of the recording from Principal Nezu.

"Greetings Mr Midoriya. During the entrance exam, you were permitted the use of your 'lightsaber'. We were a little sceptical about your 'full potential' comment, but after watching you slice a volley of bullets out of the air we don't doubt you. However, I'm afraid I'm legally obliged to warn you not to harm your classmates too badly with your weapon, however I believe you already understand the full capabilities of the devices you created."

That is how Izuku found himself before classroom 1A.

He closed his eyes, reaching out with the Force.

There were 18 people inside. All children. A nineteenth teenager was coming up from the corridor he'd come down. A sleepy adult was crawling ever so slowly towards 1A from further up the corridor.

Izuku opened the door and stepped inside, going unnoticed until he reached his seat.

Izuku's nineteenth classmate entered the room and looked around, taking her seat. It was the brown haired girl he'd saved at the entrance exam.

The greenette watched the doorway as a yellow caterpillar slunk inside. Nobody else noticed, but the man in the sleeping bag blinked surprisedly at Izuku before standing up.

The class took a few seconds to quiet down.

"You only noticed me after 8 seconds. You'll need to do better if you want to be a hero. I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Put your PE kits on and head outside. We're doing a quirk apprihention test."

________

The class stood nervously before Aizawa. He'd just threatened expulsion to the person who got last place, and several students with non- offensive quirks were panicking.

Izuku used the Force in most of the tests, pulling himself forwards or pushing objects around to achieve high scores. They got through the regular tests, like the ball throw, the long jump, the 50 meter dash, etc.

"Alright. Now that we've gone through all the normal tests, I've got a couple extras that suit some of your quirks individually. Midoriya, come up here for the spatial awareness test."

Izuku stepped forwards, within a ring of tennis ball cannons.

"May I use my lightsaber?" He asked simply.

  Aizawa considered for a moment.

"On the balls yes. Not on the machines or the ground though."

Izuku nodded, pulling the black hilt from his sleeve.

"Highest settings please." Izuku requested, closing his eyes.

Aizawa saw no reason to decline, so he pressed a few buttons on his tablet.

  "Begin!" He said.

Izuku spun, letting his green lightsaber flare out, taking a defensive stance from the Third style.

A few of the students gasped and whispered, but Izuku tuned them out.

A volley of balls was fired at him, followed by another in a different pattern, then another, and another. Izuku spun in circles, twirling the bright green blade around, never wasting a movement, every ball cleaved cleanly in two. The speed slowly picked up, so Izuku spun the lightsaber faster and faster, becoming a green blur shielding his body.

The tennis balls stopped firing, and Izuku instantly sheathed the energy blade, putting it away in his sleeve.

He opened his eyes, glancing over at his slackjawed classmates.

"What the heck was that??" Kaminari asked.

"That was the Third lightsaber style, meant for defence against projectiles. I have mastered all Seven styles, and have created an Eighth style myself to link the others together. I perfected it a week ago, just in time for UA." Izuku explained.

Aizawa sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"What are the other styles for?" He asked. "I need to know the extent of your ability with the.. lightsaber."

Izuku nodded to his teacher, drawing the lightsaber in one fluid movement.

"The First style is a general all rounder style. It's the base that the others are built on." Izuku took a somewhat normal stance, holding his lightsaber casually.

"The Second stance is more focused on deuling with lightsabers. It's a more focused, slightly perfected version of the First." Izuku adjusted his stance slightly, seeming a little more.. experienced than the casual stance from before.

"The Third style is defensive, guarding mainly against projectiles, however it was modified to guard against blades too." Izuku took a low stance, holding the energy blade at an angle across his body.

"The Fourth and Fifth styles are more aggressive. The Fourth is more speed and technique based, whilst the Fifth is more power and strength based." Izuku stood up straight, then leaned forwards slightly, planting one foot forwards, holding the blade at an angle still, but the end dipped much lower.

"The Sixth style is similar to the First and Second in that it's a basic, neutral style, however it's a far more advanced version, incorporating attacks and defenses from the Third, Fourth and Fifth styles." Izuku took a neutral stance again, losing all of the aggressiveness and wariness from before. He looked very unassuming, which everyone knew was a lie.

"The Seventh style is almost it's own technique, rather than a style of fighting. It's incredibly aggressive, bordering on Sith lord aggressiveness. It's an incredibly refined killing technique that can kill an underprepared opponent with ease." Izuku put the lightsaber away, not taking a stance for this style.

"And the Eighth is what you use to string all of the moves together?" Aizawa asked.

  Izuku nodded.

"I can go from perfect defense to perfect offence in under a second. That will only improve as I refine my style, and get stronger over time."

Aizawa sighed, turning to the class.

"Anyone else got some insane skill I don't know about?"
