A/N - I own everything in this story and I tried my best to make it historically accurate, but no promises though, as I might have to look up websites and such to make sure it's accurate since I forgot nearly everything I learnt in my old history class as I only remember the most important parts, but not the minor details. Dorothy opens the door of her home, which she sees her soon-to-be husband... James.
"Where on Earth have you been?" James yelled at her.
"Outside, where else?" Dorothy asked sarcastically.
"Don't you need my permission?!" James asked harshly.
"You're not my husband!" Dorothy told him.
"Yet!" James corrected her, "Geez... you completely forgot who wears the pants in this relationship!"
"I don't want to be in this relationship in the first place!" Dorothy rebelled against him, which he growls and proceeds to slap her, "..."
"I'm the man of this relationship, which means I make the rules here, whether you like it or not!" James told her off.

"Silent you two!"

The fake couple stop and look at Linda, who is glaring at the duo.
"... Dorothy, James... we have some... bad news about your wedding," Linda told them.
"Are you gonna cancel it?!" Dorothy asked her.
"Of course not!" Linda replied.
"Oh thank goodness," James sighed of relief, "But... what was the problem?"
"It has to be prolonged to about a year and three months," Linda told him.
"What?! Why?!" James asked her harshly.
"Complications are starting to arise, with Rebecca's pregnancy, the business contract and much more," Linda told him, "Robert will handle this situation, in the meantime, Dorothy, try to not be so rebellious towards your fiancé, okay?"
"... Yes, mother..." Dorothy replied.
"Good," Linda said, "Now, I'll be off,"

Linda leaves the duo and the two glares at each other.
"Ha! Looks like you have to wait longer, now!" Dorothy laughed at him.
"Grr... don't worry, I'll make sure you'll regret rebelling against me and your own family!"
"Let's see about that!" Dorothy replied.

James just growls and leaves her alone. Dorothy sighs as she is shaking her head and goes to her room.
