Sinners and Saints
Klaus' POV
I have not been quite myself ever since last night with Chris. What happened, me scaring him...I realized a few things. Firstly, I did in fact like him and Elijah and Rebekah knew this. Secondly, if I was to have something, anything with him I needed to get around that stupid werewolf friend of his. And thirdly, Chris was new to New Orleans so if I could find a solid place in his life, then I'd have a chance. But honestly even if he didn't want me in his life I'd force my way in it. And possibly even make him mine. Willingly or not. It was my nature. I took what I wanted, regardless of the consequences.
At the moment I was choking the life out of one of Genevieve's witches for information on who planned the attack on the werewolves and Hayley, the mother of my child. The witch wasn't giving anything away so I broke his neck. Dropping the witches lifeless body on the ground of the alley, I turned to the one that was hiding behind a pillar, thinking I wouldn't know he was there. Not giving him time to run, I was in front of him in seconds sinking my teeth in his throat and spilling his blood everywhere. I dropped his body and wiped my face, smearing the blood on my mouth.
"Really brother?" Elijah says, coming over to where I stood. "You couldn't have made this any messier."
I smirked and tilted my head. "They had it coming. Planning an attack on my first born child, my only child and thinking they can get away with it. These witches have attacked my family time and time again. Well no more. It's time we taught them a lesson."
"Niklaus, are you sure that you want to do this? Starting a war with the witches is not a good idea right now." Elijah said.
"They started a war with us." I tell him, pointing at the dead witches. "All I'm doing is ending it. For good."
"Klaus you need to think this through. Think about Chris. What will you do if he gets caught in the crossfire?" Elijah asks.
"He won't. I'll do everything in my power to make sure of that." I tell him and turn on my heel heading towards the alley entrance.
"What shall we do with the bodies?" Elijah wants to know.
"Leave 'em. Let the witches find them and dispose of them." I smirked. "After all, it is their own kind. And it's less than they deserve."
Chris' POV
I was strolling through Audubon Park alone, my hands shoved in my jacket pockets when I looked up and saw Klaus standing by a tree, his arms crossed and he had a smile on his face. Or as close to one as he could get. He uncrossed his arms and pushed away from the tree as I came closer. I stopped a few meters away from him, sheepishly looking at my shoes.
"Hello Chris." He says, his accent was really clear.
"Hi." I say still staring at my shoes like they were the most interesting thing in the world. Which they weren't. If I was going to tell the truth, Klaus was the interesting one standing right in front of me.
"I've come to ask you on a date." Klaus says, his voice layered with a soft spoken but firm gentleness.
I looked up to meet his eyes, which were watching me. "Really?"
Klaus nodded. "Yes. Will you accompany me for dinner tonight?"
I smiled and nodded. "Yes. I will go on a date with you."
Klaus gave a nod of satisfaction and stepped closer to me. He placed a kiss on my cheek before stepping away. "Back where I come from it's tradition to kiss the date on the cheek after asking them on a date."
I bit my lip, not wanting to overstep my boundries. "And where exactly are you from?"
"England. I look forward to seeing you tonight, however I must take care of something." Klaus says, looking over my shoulder. I saw his face darken and I watched as he walked past me and to the other end of the park, his eyes dead set on something.
Well looks like I have a date with Klaus Mikaelson.
Klaus' POV The minute Marcel showed up in the park trying to get my attention from a distance I made my way over to him hoping he had found a way to stop Genevieve from coming after my family. Only to find out that she had attacked once again. This time using a dark druid, who was indeed still alive but barely.
"What happened?"
Marcel shook his head. "One minute everything was fine. Next thing I know we're being attacked."
I nod in acknowledgement and clenched my fists, gritting my teeth. "When will she learn? Do I have to kill every single witch in the Quarter in order to make her understand?!"
"We have to kill her. She won't stand to reason and she'll just keep attacking us. You. Your family." Marcel spread his hands. "She has to die. And if we have to kill all of the witches then so be it."
I nodded, running a hand through my hair. "How's Hayley and my daughter?"
"They're fine." Marcel informs me. "Hayley's a bit shaken up but they'll be okay."
"Good. Find me Genevieve and bring me her head."
Third Person's POV One thing Klaus Mikaelson didn't count on was his own friend turning on him. As you'll see soon, that betrayal and more caused Klaus to go down the path of revenge.
