Clubbing
Klaus' POV
I was sitting inside the club waiting for Rebekah, Marcel and Elijah to get here. The four of us were supposed to meet here to discuss the fate of the witches. I would much rather slaughter the whole lot instead of discussing what we should do. But in order to earn my brother's trust along with my sister's I had to do this.
While waiting for them, I of course decide to have a little fun. I compelled a dancer to let me drink her blood and soon she was sitting on my lap, me with my lips latched onto her throat as I drank her blood.
It was then that I got a whiff of a familiar scent. Chris Stewart. The eighteen year old going to college here in New Orleans. I never did ask what college he was going to.
I looked up and saw him sit down in a chair with someone. First day of college and he already made a friend. One who happened to be a werewolf. I found myself snarling silently to myself.
I pushed the girl off of me and stood up, striding over to where they were sitting. He was staring down at his phone.
"Chris." He looked up surprised. I smirked. "Fancy seeing you here."
He smiled slightly. "Klaus. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here all the time. The real question is...what are you doing here?" I say.
Chris looks like a deer caught in headlights again. "Uh..I'm--"
The werewolf sitting next to him elbowed him in the side. "Remember what I said?"
Chris stops talking and bites his lip. I inclined my head and say, "Whatever he has told you..it isn't true."
Chris frowns and says, "What makes you think he said anything about you?"
"Judging from the way you just reacted and not finishing what you were saying earlier I'd assume he has said something along the lines of 'He's bad news, stay away from him'." I paused watching his expression change and shift. "Am I correct?"
Chris glanced at the werewolf, who's face was red and he turned to me saying, "Yeah."
"Your friend has hurt me dearly." I say in a sarcastic manner. But Chris didn't catch on.
"You don't have a heart to hurt." The werewolf hissed.
"Connor!" Chris slaps his arm and said, "That's not nice."
"Chris this guy is a monster! He kills for pleasure and if you like him he'll break your heart and leave you to wallow in your own sorrow." Connor exclaims.
Now I'm deeply offended. For real this time. Without thinking I grab Connor and slam him against the wall behind us. Growling in his face I say,
"You know nothing about me. And even if you did I would never do that to Chris. If you so much as tell him another lie about me I will personally see to it myself that you never talk again. Am I clear?"
Connor says nothing. Stubborn ass werewolf. I press him harder against the wall. "Am I clear?"
"Now, now brother. Let the boy down." Elijah says walking into the club.
"Why should I?"
"Because you're scaring the other boy." Rebekah says.
I look at Chris and he looks mortified. He's looking at Connor who sighs and with the strength of a werewolf tears free of my grasp and is now standing over him.
"Chris?"
It was like he didn't hear him. He continued to stare at me, his eyes wide and I walked over to them shoving the werewolf to the side. Looking deep into his eyes I say,
"You will forget everything you saw here tonight. You will think you got drunk and went home."
I compelled him to forget anything that happened tonight. I turn to the werewolf and said,
"Take him home."
Elijah's POV
I watched how Klaus instantly changed his demeanor when Rebekah said he was scaring the kid. That was something he did with Rebekah when we were all very little. And it was then that I knew.
He cared very much for this boy. And I knew it was beyond caring for him. He was falling in love. Whether he knew that or not, I knew that he knew he felt something for that kid.
"What's his name?" I asked him.
Klaus turns his head slightly. "Chris."
"A good name for someone with his looks eh?"
Klaus chuckled lightly. "Yeah I guess."
Rebekah glanced at me before saying, "You like him. Don't you?"
Klaus made a face but knowing we could see right through any lie he told he sighed. "So what if I do?"
That was the closest he would ever get to admitting out loud that he liked Chris. But that was as good as any response from him.
Maybe this Chris could change Niklaus for the better.
Chris's POV
I woke up with a killer headache. I was in my bed back inside my apartment but I don't remember coming back home. I actually don't remember anything at all. Except seeing Klaus at the club last night. It was definitely weird that I didn't remember getting home last night. Connor must have brought me here.
I stood up and grabbed a towel and some clothes and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower. The faster I got dressed and ready for classes the sooner I could ask Connor what happened last night. But there was this nagging feeling that something was wrong. Like there was something missing. Shrugging it off I got ready for class.

Little did Chris know that soon he would become the sole victim of a vampire's love.
