Prologue
A child's wail rang through the night as the rider rode furiously. The child sounded of two, getting the death of his mother out of his small head. But it will never fade as he will know why he was abandoned by one he called a father.
The rider stopped in the desert, looking ahead as the temperature was starting to drop as night was rising from the day. The death of his wife just happened and he couldn't raise the child on his own. He was a knight for the love of Hyrule, busy to no end to protect his kingdom. "Link, you'll be better off here." He said to the child in a green blanket. "Goodbye forever..." He laid the child in the sand and turned, whipping the reins on his horse as they took off back to Hyrule.
The child looked around with his blue eyes as he wailed louder, someone over hearing him in a red and black outfit, the hair put up as a mask was over the face. The being picked Link up and brought the blanket down, seeing him shivering and burrowing in the being's arms, crying. The being looked around as it put its Demon Carver away and disappeared, returning to its hideout.
"Master, I found this child out in the desert." The being said. "He could be of use to us, he really could."
"Really now?" The Master looked at his pawn, going over to look Link over. He resembled the legendary hero with the sword that seals the darkness, the blonde hair and the blue eyes stand right out, but freckles? Now the hero didn't have that but it could be due to it being a reincarnation. "You have done well for the Yiga Clan, you have brought the hero to us! But, the hero is young, we will raise him as our own. How do you feel, Link?"
Link wasn't talking much as he whimpered, shaking more due to it being freezing as the hideout was near the Gerudo Highlands. "I-"
"Perfect, we will take that as a yes. Welcome, Link of the Yiga."
-Fifteen years later-
A young male was running after the princess of Hyrule, his partners following. Their goal was kill Zelda and resurrect Calamity Ganon. She was getting in the way with her alliance with the Gerudo Chief, Urbosa. They required the Thunder Helm, a heirloom in the Gerudo culture. It was a key part due to the Calamity taking a form of a Gerudo male before and having a thing called the Triforce of Power. The Triforce was just an urban legend.
The male watched Zelda trip as he saw the fear in her eyes. He looked at the other Yiga. "I'll take this one! Return to Master!" He ordered, watching them jump up and disappear. He walked over to the petrified teen and lifted her up in his arms, carrying her to Kara Kara Bazaar on the outskirts of the Gerudo Town. He laid her next to the oasis as he goes, "are you alright?"
"What, what do you want with me?" She squeaked.
He smirked and removed his mask, showing his blue eyes and his hair in his face, brushing it out of the way. "Why would I kill someone with beautiful eyes?" He ask, sitting beside her. "You have a long life ahead of you-"
"Why are you helping me?!" Zelda wanted to run, run to Urbosa for help but no. Everyone think she needs someone to protect her but she doesn't need it. She thinks she can protect herself all the time.
"Zelda please," the man said. "You can trust me."
She hesitated before sighing. "I apologize for my actions and behavior. It was unnecessary."
"I forgive you already," he chuckled. "My name is Link."
"Link, I felt like I heard that name before." She closed her eyes and stood up, dusting herself off as she goes, "thank you for saving me even if it meant betraying the Yiga."
He closed his eyes. "I never wanted to be apart of them. I use to live in Hyrule until my mom died unexpectedly." He explained. "Dad, abandoned me..."
"I'm so sorry."
"Don't be. The time for being sorry is over." He started getting nervous. "I need to leave. I hope to see you again Zelda."
