Author's POV

The couple look at the newborn baby who was sleeping peacefully in the baby hand carrier
" honey don't you think we should not have left at night" the women said as she look at her husband who was driving

"honey we will be alright don't worry " her husband assured his worried wife "look we are also just about to reach home just a 15 mins drive and we'll be there"

suddenly their car stopped in the dark forest "what happened ? why did the car stop ? " the women asked her husband
"hmm let me see there must be some problem in the engine, I will try to fix it and you take care of our daughter " he smiled at his wife and opened the car door "wait , it's really dark outside don't go" he looked back at his wife
"I'll be alright dear , don't worry" he said as he pecked her forehead and closed the car door stepping in front of car opening the car hood while the women look at her daughter who was sleeping peacefully.

"your daddy never listen to me , I stop him not to leave at night but he.... aish alright my baby is sleeping peacefully that's enough for me " she said while giving her a kiss on her cheek

and looked at her husband who was going towards the trunk soon he opened it taking out his tool box and going towards the engine he started fixing the fault soon. After a few minutes the movements stopped and the women tried to look behind the hood suddenly her husband closed the hood lightly as he looked towards his right looking confused and a bit alarmed he quickly made his way towards the car door as he sat inside his wife noticed he was still holding the tool box in his hand.

"Jack what happened? "she asked with a hint of uneasiness
"Lora I heard something outside some rustle in those bushes" he said while pointing towards their right side , there were dark bushes so they can't see whoever was there.

"Jack I don't wanna be here please do something " Lora said with a scared expression
"It's alright I....." "growl!" Jack was cut off by a low but scary growl
"Hurry Lora go in the back seat hurry " Jack said while pointing towards the back seat and taking out some useful tools from the toolbox
"But we...." "Lora we don't have time to waste hurry we need to keep our daughter safe , I will call someone " Lora quickly hopped in the backseat with her daughter and Jack prepared himself to kill whoever will try to hurt his daughter or wife and was about to reach for the phone but before they can do something else suddenly their car roof was pushed downwards making Lora scream.

"Shh shh lora we need to be calm " he said trying to calm down his wife while the baby was awake too but was not crying just looking at her parents
"LORA SHHH DON'T CRY WE WILL BE ALRIGHT , PUT LILY TO SLEEP IF SHE CRIES HER VOICE CAN GAIN THE PREDATORS ATTENTION" he whisper-yelled to his wife.

Lora starts telling her to sleep while giving her little swings. Soon, the baby feel asleep as she was still sleepy.

Hearing that the predator was walking on their car roof and now was coming towards the windscreen Jack came in front of his wife and daughter in a protective way but what they saw next made their blood go cold it was a big black dark wolf who was looking inside.

Lora kept her hand on her mouth trying to stop herself from screaming while jack quickly start trying to start the car but it wasn't starting suddenly they heard more growl this one was more scary it was coming from their right suddenly they saw another wolf much more bigger than the first one
Jack was trying hard to start the car and then suddenly heard the engine start and the car started going, the wolf who was still on the hood fell down but before falling she put her large nail in the hood and some wires came out because of that now the car was totally out of control
It was going towards their house but from the deep part of forest which was the dangerous side of forest their car was fast and out of control and their was a big tree before jack can do anything the car hit the tree and the windscreen class shattered into pieces totally exposing their cars front now it was more dangerous but more dangerous was that the wolves were here too, probably more angry than before
"Hurry Jack come here" Lora said more like screamed but on the other hand Jack was ready to fight them his one hand was holding a screwdriver and the other a bradawl suddenly a black wolf appeared and Jack quickly attacks him with the screwdriver but he dogged it but still it scratched his eyes hard which created a big scar , He get away from them while hissing in pain suddenly the smaller wolf jump on their car crashing the car roof.
Now it was almost touching their head suddenly the other wolf attack from the windscreen taking Jack's arm in his sharp teeth
he screamed in pain

"Jack...." Lora come forward trying to reach his hand but before she can
Jack shouted "LORA TAKE OUR DAUGHTER AND RUN DON'T THINK ABOUT ME I WILL GAIN THEIR ATTENTION AND YOU RUN WITH OUR DAUGHTER "
"Jack I won't leave without you, we ca...."
"I SAID GO MEAN GO RUN FROM HERE " Jack quickly head the wolf's head with the screwdriver he left his arm going away Lora quickly open the door and start running but before she can run any further a wolf jump on her taking her leg between his teeth she scream in pain and take the baby near her chest so she won't drop the baby by any chance.

The second wolf was still gaining his strength, jack was quick enough to tear a part of his shirt and wrapping it around the wooden stick, which was kept near the bushes he dash towards the car petrol tank and soak the cloth in petrol he got to the driver seat taking out his lighter and burn the cloth and throw it towards the wolf which was attacking Lora the wolf started to burn it was trying hard to stop the fire
"LORA RUN AND REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU
THEN.NOW.AND FOREVER. "He screamed toward her she nodded with tears in her eyes and whisper "I love you too" she get up and start limping towards the deep forest the fire was stop but the wolf was lying almost lifelessly the big wolf gain his all strength and jump on the man's back biting his neck making him scream in pain while Lora close her ears cuz she can't hear him scream in pain Her leg was bleeding heavily she was panting heavily she sit under a tree looking at her daughter "Forgive your mom she w...was no..not ab..able to save your dad please forgive me " she cried with heavy breathing
Jack was already dead, the wolf walk towards his partner almost running she was breathing slowly he rub his head on her back trying to wake her up
He drag her towards their den totally forgetting about the women who run  away and was still alive.

Lora look at her baby and attached both the hearts and make lily wear the necklace, A tear left her eyes as flashback come in her mind

FLASHBACK....
"Babe look how pretty is our daughter "
"She is just like you"

"BTW look what I bought for you " jack said while taking out a necklace set from his pocket it was a heart necklace which was separate in two one was having Jack name and one Lora behind it and on its front was written their favorite quote which they mostly use for each other.

"Babe it's beautiful " Lora said whole looking at jack he make her wear it "it's beautiful but not more than you also the day we become old or any of us die we will join this and make it wear her daughter " Lora eyes become teary as      she nodded to his statement

FLASHBACK....

"Jack I fulfill my promise" she said as she was almost taking her last breath she quickly stand up trying to find a place to keep her daughter safe there was a space under the edge of the forest it looks like a den type place she sit there with her daughter in her arms whispering her last goodbye she close her eyes going behind her beloved husband, A few hour later the baby wakes up as she was hungry, she started to cry.
Not getting any response from her mother makes her cry louder.

Suddenly a wolf much smaller than the previous ones he come towards the lady sitting near a tree then he look at the little baby crying, he carry the baby carrier

He grab her carrier in his teeth rising her he start thinking of a way to make her stop crying, He put the baby carrier on ground and try to shake her mother she didn't wake up so he smell her and got to know she is dead , he can't leave the baby there so thought of taking her with him he start walking toward the right side where there were less trees.
Still swinging her she stops crying and fall asleep after a while he reached a old wooden house.

he step in front of the door and keep the baby there, there was a bucket near the door he take it and hit the door with it twice and run away hiding behind a tree soon a old women in her 40s open the door locking here and there then she look down and she was shocked as she saw a baby there she kept her hand on her mouth while quickly looking here and there
"Ooo my, who is she " she bend down looking at the baby closely "such a beautiful baby..... but wait I have seen this blanket some where " her eyes widen as she remembered, She quickly took the baby and run towards the telephone picking it she calls her son but he didn't pick up she try few times but then tried her daughter-in-law with heavy heart she calls her daughter-in-law mother she pick up
"where are lora and jack??'" She asks without any greeting
"they left to visit you at night, why did it happen??" Her heart stopped beating for a sec as she thinks of the worst
"I got..lily here with me but Lora and Jack are not here"
" what how is this possible we are coming we will search for them "

After finding it everywhere.....

Soon they find jack dead body near the car and lora's in deep forest
They decided that lily will live with her grandma as she was totally broken because of her son and daughter-in-law's sudden death but Clara soon collected herself as she now needs to raise lily.

*Present Time*

A tear drop from her eyes as she remembered the painful past but then she look at her granddaughter who was playing with some rabbits and feeding them, in their garden, she is 17years old now but Clara still treat her like a little baby
"Grannyy " lily come running towards her Granny her face shows excitement and her Granny already know why she is so excited
"Again?" She questioned her lily nodded happily
"Granny this time there is even garden swing chair, I wanna go please " she do her best puppy eyes and her grandmother's heart melted
"Alright but come back before 7pm okk and taehyung will go with you hmmm?"
"Okk Granny now I need to go and get ready and I already tell tae to come " she said while going upstairs
After a while she come up while wearing a formal blue dress.

As soon as she step on floor there was a knock on the door
"I guess he is here" she walk towards the door and open it only to reveal a smiley guy
"Hi! Tae how are you ?" She asked while leading him In
"I am good and you ??"
"I am good too BTW don't you think we are getting late ?? Let's go I don't want to miss even a single minute"
"alright alright let's go"
"Okk Granny we are going"
They left the house and head towards the funfair while talking about their Daily life
"So who was your day tae" she asked him
"It was good, you know while coming here I saw the preparation for the the funfair it was already looking beautiful"
"You are making me more excited"

Time skip...

"I am home~" lily said while taking off her shoes and going towards her Granny study room only to find her sitting on her rocking chair while reading a book as she heard footsteps

"Welcome dear" she open her arms to welcome her with a warm hug lily quickly hug her after putting all the prizes she win and tae bought her from the funfair "Granny it was so much fun I can't even tell you"
"And let me tell you you are 5 minutes late " she tease her
"Grannyy" lilly whine
"Hahahahaha OK ok " Clara said while giving her a kiss on her head
"I will tell you everything in morning but now I am sleepy " she yawned while going upstairs

Time skip till Morning.....

"And that's how he bought that big teddy bear for me" lily said while eating her breakfast and telling her Granny about yesterday's events
"Btw granny where is the blueberry jam?" Lily ask while finding the jam on breakfast table

"Don't you remember it's finished, I will go and take some more blueberry from forest then make more jam" her Granny said
"Hmm no no Granny I will go, it's been so many days since I last visited forest" she said while eating her breakfast so she can get ready for going
After a while she finished her breakfast wash her hands and get her cloak and basket, she wear it "Goodbye Granny "
"Goodbye and be safe" lily nodded and left the house

Time skip in the forest....
"Lily POV"
I was looking for the blueberries. After a while I find just looking at them makes my mouth water. After talking as much as I can in the basket I get up and start going towards my favorite place " the rabbits den".
Just when I was about to reach it is saw a baby rabbit running away I gently grab him sitting near a tree but why it looks scared these rabbits are never scared from may..... "rustle"

My thoughts were cut off by some rustle in bushes maybe there are more rabbits as but what I saw next make me froze and my place.

Two scary eyes were looking at me and that's when I knew I was dead!!!!!!

Hii Guys my first story got so much love, so I thought why not to publish another one, hope you show the same love for this one too and also this is a gift for my bestie Ainanainaa and lastly my exams are next month so I need to study hard so I won't be able to publish this story for I guess one month that's why I will put it on hold enjoy this one first chapter I will publish as soon as I get free from exams ❤❤❤
