No tree. No lights. No decorations.

The Malfoy Manor was adorned with no spirited items whatsoever. It bothered Scorpius, who was used to Hogwarts where they overdecorated for each holiday however minor.

"Dad. Can we at least get a tree?" Scorpius had begged Draco.

"No. Trees are for outside. Now go to your room; I'm busy," his father had snapped.

Now Scorpius was lying spread eagle on his bed, totally wiped out. He didn't realize how tired Hogwarts made him until he returned home for breaks. Of course, he'd rather be there, hands down. At home it was lonely and dark. And Albus wasn't there.

His grandfather Lucius was a pain in the ass as well. He thought that Scorpius was his slave and that whenever he needed something, Scorpius had to drop everything and serve him.

"I want Albus," he murmured to himself. He grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill, and flopped onto his bed.

Dear Al,

I'd tell you all about what's happening at my house, but there's nothing to tellIt is so boring, especially since you aren't hereMy grandfather is being a jerkMy dad is being a douche bagI think about you every second of every dayIf I wrote a Christmas list, you would be the only thing on it

I hope things are going okay at your houseIf you ever begin to doubt yourself, just remember that you are better than everyone in the worldYou mean everything to meOnly a few more weeks and we will be together.  I love you so much.

-Scorpius

He grabbed the family owl and gave it the letter.  Hopefully his father wouldn't intercept the letter and find out about his relationship with Albus.

"Albus, darling, you need to do better in school," Ginny Potter told her son.

Albus kicked at the ground.  It wasn't his fault that everything was so boring.

"I can't believe my son is FAILING defense against the dark arts!" Harry shouted.  "When I was at Hogwarts, inexperienced and given a muggle life, I still made O's in that class!"

"Dad, I don't think you've figured this out yet.  I'm not you," Albus protested.

"Don't talk back to me son," Harry snapped.  "It is completely unacceptable that you have a Troll in that class.  Ron and I thought that wasn't even a grade!"

"Well it is, okay!  I'm not perfect at everything!" Albus huffed.

A white owl flew through the window and dropped a scroll at Albus's feet.  He reached to pick it up.

Harry snatched it away.  "What is this?" he asked, suspicious.

"Dad!  Give me that!" Albus cried, recognizing the Malfoy's owl.

"Scorpius?!" Harry shouted.  "Who is this?!  Is this Draco's son?!"

Tears slipped out of the corners of Albus's eyes.  "That's not yours to read!"

"You have no right to keep a secret like this from me!" Harry yelled.  "Ginny!  He's dating Draco's son!"

Ginny's hand went to her mouth.  "Oh.....oh my....."

"That's exactly why I didn't tell you!" Albus exclaimed.  "You already hate me!"

Harry's eyes softened.  "I don't hate you, Albus.  I just don't approve of you dating Scorpius."

"You homophobic asshole!" Albus shouted.

"Albus!" Ginny cried.

"Its not that fact that you're gay!  Its the fact that your gay for a Malfoy!" Harry said.

"He's not like his dad!  I promise!" Albus protested.  "No matter what you say, I will still love him."

"Well I am still your father," Harry informed him.  "And I demand that you cease your relationship with Scorpius."
