Book thrown astray, Scorpius had fallen asleep on Albus.  He was stretched out on the couch long ways, with his belly resting on Albus's thighs.  The fire cracked softly along with Scorpius's deep breaths.

Albus unbuttoned Scorpius's white shirt and hung it over the back of the couch.  Then, he began to run his fingers up and down the sleeping boy's back.  Scorpius's breathing became lighter and more steady.

"I don't know how we will do it," Albus whispered.  "How we will tell our dads about us."

He ran a hand through Scorpius's hair, thinking.

"We're supposed to be rivals.  But we are friends.  More than friends."

It would only be a matter of time before their dads found out.  Such secrets can't be kept forever.

Albus lightly traced his nails up and down his boyfriend's sides.  Scorpius let out a content sigh.

If only it could just be like this forever, Albus thought miserably.  I fear the day our fathers hear about thisWe'll be torn apart, away from the only thing we truly loveWe will become weak and helpless without one another, begging to be reunited but knowing deep down it will never happen.

A tear slipped down Albus's cheek.  He knew it was silly worrying about the future when he should be enjoying the time he had with Scorpius.  But still, his nerves wouldn't calm and he had a sneaking suspicion that their d-day would arrive soon.  (Okay you know what that sounded wrong but whatever)

It was getting late; the clock seemed to be scolding him for staying up late.  He did have school tomorrow, but unlike Scorpius, Albus didn't care for his classes.  Sure, they were better than muggle school, but work was tedious and teachers were boring.  The only way Albus kept himself awake was by looking at Scorpius, which the teacher called him out for all too often.

Sighing, Albus gathered Scorpius into his arms and retreated to the boys dorm.  If he wanted wanted to have any chance of staying awake for class, he needed to get some sleep.

"You're so tempting," Albus murmured into Scorpius's hair.  "I could stay up all night and play with your hair and touch you."

***********

Scorpius was kissing Albus passionately, just like they did every night before bed and every morning when they woke up

"ScorpiusYou are a disappointment to the family!"

Scorpius turned to see his dad, Draco Malfoy, glaring at him from the door to the boys dorm.

"How did you get here?" Scorpius squeaked, fearful.

"The question is why are you betraying your family name?" his dad shot back, a very disappointed look on his faceScorpius's heart cringed with guilt.

"Daddy, I love him!"

"You cannot love a PotterI refuse to have a son of mine date Potter scum!" Draco roared.

"Daddy, pleaseLet me explainHe's not like his dad!"

"He looks a whole hella lot like him," Draco muttered.  "And, more than that, you're GAYWhat a disgraceHow can I call such a person my son?"

Scorpius woke, sobbing.  This was his most dreaded nightmare.

"Albus is here.  Dad didn't say that.  Dad wouldn't say that," Scorpius tried to assure himself.

One thing was a clear comfort, however.  Albus was holding Scorpius in his arms like they were falling to their deaths.  That touch, that strength alone made Scorpius's nerves ease.

"But what if he does think I'm a disappointing child?" Scorpius whispered, choking on a sob.  A light sleeper, Albus woke up to his boyfriend's cries.

"Oh, Scorpius, baby, what's wrong?" Albus whispered, wiping the tears from the blonde boy's face with his thumb.

"I-I had the dream again!" Scorpius wailed.

"Shhhh, baby, its okay," Albus comforted.  "I'm right here.  It was only a dream."

"B-but what if he does hate me?  When h-he find out?" Scorpius sobbed, swiping at tears.

"Scorpius, one thing I know about you is that you're impossible to hate.  Once someone sees past all that voldemort child crap, you really are the most likeable person ever," Albus whispered, stroking Scorpius's hair to calm him.  "Your dad loves you, I can tell, even if he isn't the best at showing it.  Your the only thing he has left to hold on to.  I promise you he will never disown you or hate you or anything."

The blonde boy looked up at Albus, with tear stained cheeks.  "You think?"

"I know," Albus murmured.
