Chapter 6
A/N: I am so sorry that I haven't updated in a while, there isn't really an excuse other than the fact that I forgot. Also sorry that this chapter is so shitty.
A week had gone past since I last spoke to Phil. It was starting to become strange, no one seemed to know any details about it. His social media accounts were active last, the morning that he came past my house. As well as that, he hadn't been replying to my texts or calling me back.
I was starting to get worried. What had that man meant when he said that he wasn't happy about Phil skipping his training session? What was he being trained for?
I decided to stop dwelling on it and went downstairs. As I entered the room my mum turned her head and smiled at me. I went and sat with her on the couch and together we watched the news. 'Young man was found guilty of selling illegal drugs in alley on Thursday night.'
When I looked to see who the man was, I instantly covered my mouth with both hands in shock. Phil. What the hell? Is that what the man was angry about? Was it because he was training Phil to sell drugs? This couldn't be true.
The boy I love, a drug dealer? "Are you alright, Dan?" Mum asked me as she took it in as well. I shook my head, and she outstretched her arms beckoning me to come closer to her. She wrapped her arms around me and held me tight. A tear slowly made its way down my cheek.
PHILS POV
"You have the right to one phone call," the officer said and he pushed the phone into my chest, "You have one minute." My hand shook and I grabbed the phone and dialled Dan's number.
"H-Hello?" Dan said, and it was clear that he had been crying.
"Dan, it's Phil," I said to him, grimly.
"What the fuck, Phil? Why would you do something so stupid like this?" Dan yelled down the line at me.
"I-I'm sorry. Please listen to me -" Tears budded in my eyes, but before I continue Dan cut me off.
"No! I thought you were different, Phil! Why would you do this? You were first I have ever felt this way for and now you've gone and got yourself arrested and sent to prison for drug dealing?"
"Please, Dan! Listen! I wasn't me! Yes, I admit that I was in training to learn how to create and sell illicit drugs, but that was only training. It's still stupid and wrong and.. and.. You don't understand Dan. I needed the money! I'm in trouble... But I wasn't the one selling the drugs the night I was arrested, I was walking home from my parent's house and when the police arrived the man ran off and I was left there. Now they think that I am responsible for it, but I'm not! You have to believe me, Dan!" I explained although I am sure that it made no sense.
"W-what? So it wasn't you who was selling the drugs that night, so you're innocent?" Dan asked, his voice was shaky.
"Yes, Dan it wasn't me. Although no one but you, my parents and my brother believe me. Everyone else thinks I'm guilty. I could be getting moved to America, and my parents can't afford bail-"
DANS POV
"Hello, Phil?" I asked frantically. No answer. I hung up the phone and ran to Mum. "He's innocent!"
"What?" Mum asked me, looking confused.
"It wasn't Phil! But he could be getting moved to a jail in America, and his family can't afford bail. His court trial is in two weeks!" I explained. "There has to be something I can do to help."
