The Battle
Peter looked through the map which then became a 3D version of the actual battlefield followed by gryphon's flight. It flew over the side where Edmund and Mr. Beaver who were now fully in their armour and the other army stood on the hills, then towards the massive crowd of armed fauns and centaurs and finally, to where Peter, Dawn and Oreius who were also armed stood. Peter was on a white unicorn and Dawn was on a white horse speckled with gray. "They come, your highnesses." The Gryphon warned. "In numbers and weapons far greater than our own."
"Oh dear..." Dawn said.
"Numbers do not win a battle." Oreius told the Gryphon.
"No.." Peter said calmly. "But I bet they help."
Momentarily, the Narnian army heard an ugly loud roar in the distance. It was a Minotaur, calling up the White Witch's army. The Gryphon was right. Her army was a lot more than theirs. The Witch's army arrived as there thousands of them. There were a few giants, white tigers, and hideous creatures. The White Witch was riding a chariot pulled by polar bears. She was dressed in dark chainmail, gold headdress and remains of Aslan's mane she cut during his sacrifice. She looked even more eviler than ever. The two armies faced each other mixture in fear, anger and so on. Peter and Dawn looked at Edmund who was on the hill gave nod to them.
Peter then drew his sword, the horn sounds and everyone cheered.
"I have no interest in prisoners." The White Witch said to her army coldly. "Kill them all." Her army started to cheer too And they ran towards Aslan's army. Peter gave a signal and Edmund drew his sword, preparing for the battle. The other gryphons flew over the sky and started dropping boulders onto the Witch's army.
"Look at the sky!" The Minotaur called his army. The dwarves started to fire arrows, and the boulders started falling onto the evil creatures. Peter turned to Oreius. "Are you with me?" He asked.
"To the death." The Centaur answered.
"Are you with me too?" Dawn asked her boyfriend. Peter gave her a nod. "Just don't die." He said to her. Dawn giggled nervously and uncomfortably. Peter raised his sword higher. "For Narnia! And for Aslan!" He yelled. Their army charged. Dawn put her headphones over her head. The Narnian army and the Witch's army raced towards each other and the battle began with a leopard rumbling against a white tiger. Dawn sang as she watched both armies clash into each other.
"Ow, my head!" One of the boggles complained as he put both hands over his head.
"That voice is driving me nuts!" Said the other.
"Let's run away!" The other ugly creature added. Some of the creatures started to run off while hearing her singing.
After some terrifying damages against each other's army, Edmund decided to let some creatures nearby to take action. He raised his sword. "Fire!" He commanded. A female Centaur released an arrow which flew in midair, transformed into a Phoenix which divided the Witch's army and created the wall of fire between them and the Narnians. Many of the soldiers cheered, but not for long. The Witch waved her wand and broke the fiery wall.
"Fall back!" Peter commanded. "Draw them to the rocks! Dawn, let's go!" Dawn nodded and followed Peter on her horse. Then the sound of horn blasted in the air.
"That's the signal!" Mr. Beaver told Edmund and the army nearby. "Come on!" And they headed down to the rocks to help their army. Dawn came face to face with a first enormous evil creature and she hesitated. It was a Cyclops. She thought of whether she should use her dagger or her headphones to fight. She was snapped out when the Cyclops swung a mace at her which she dodged. Dawn then stabbed its neck with her dagger and she slashed a boggle nearby. She tried to search for Peter, but he was nowhere to be seen. So she run through some of the uglier evil creatures, slashing them one by one with her dagger to look for him. Then she saw Peter falling off from his unicorn nearby after it was shot by one of the dwarfs with an arrow. "Peter!" Dawn gasped as she hurried towards him, but her horse was also shot with an arrow by another Witch's dwarf.
"Aah!" She shrieked as she tumbled off her horse and fell on the ground. "Dawn!" Peter gasped as he ran towards his girlfriend. "Are you okay?"
Dawn groaned. "I don't know." Peter sighed. "Stay here." He said.
"What are you doing?" Dawn asked worryingly.
"I'm going to fight." Peter said.
"I want to go with you!" Dawn pleaded. Peter sighed. "You're not hurt?"
"Uhh...not too much." She said. "A little dizzy."
"Are you sure you can fight?" Peter asked. Dawn sighed. "I don't know..." she said. "I guess so.."
Peter nodded. "Okay." He said. He helped Dawn up from the ground and they both saw Oreius and the rhinoceros ran past them to approach the Witch with a whoosh.
"Stop!" Peter yelled. The rhinoceros fell to the ground and Oreius continued running. He killed the Minotaur captain with both swords and charged at the Witch. He drew his sword to give a blow to her but she dodged it. The witch then turned Oreius into stone.
Both Aslan and the Witch's army suffered many losses. A few gryphons flew over the Witch and dove towards her. She spun both her sword and wand and slashed at one of them and turned another into stone. It shattered on a boulder. Peter and Dawn looked around watching some armies on their side being defeated by the Witch's evil creatures. They turned around and noticed that Edmund was nearby.
"Edmund!" Peter yelled. "There's too many! Get out of here! Get the girls and get them home!"
"But Peter.." Dawn hesitated. "It's too dangerous!" Peter shot back. "Just go! I'll be fine!"
"But you don't know that!" Dawn said. Edmund nodded.
Peter sighed. "Please listen to me."
"You heard him, kids!" Mr. Beaver said as he dragged Dawn and Edmund with him. "Let's go!" Edmund looked back at his brother and Peter went to face the White Witch. Little did they know, Susan, Lucy, Esther and Aslan were on their way along with the other creatures. Edmund drew his sword.
"What are you doing?!" Dawn said.
"Peter said get of here!" Mr. Beaver warned him.
"Peter's not king yet!" Edmund retorted and ran down the rocks. "Edmund!" Dawn shouted but it was too late. Edmund already ran back to where he was to help his brother. He took action towards the White Witch and engaged in combat against her. Some of the army and Peter were interrupted when Edmund broke the Witch's wand with his sword, slashing it, with the flash of blue light. Meanwhile, in distance, Esther, who transformed into a lioness, made it to the battlefield faster than the rest just in time to see Edmund going after the Witch. Esther gasped as she saw this and ran over. She then had a vision and gasped. "Ed!"
Edmund paused, but the Witch disarmed his shield and was about to stab Edmund with the remains of her wand, Esther zoomed and stood in front of him. "NOOO!" She yelled as her mother stabbed her instead. She fells to the ground and Edmund is puzzled. "ESTHEERRR!!" Peter yelled in horror as he saw what happened. "Est!" Edmund gasped. Dawn falls to her knees crying as she witnessed from above.
"Good...!" The Witch smirked.
Then, Peter and Dawn ran to the White Witch after stabbing one of the ugly creatures. On behalf of Edmund and Esther, they both started to battle against the Witch. Two against one. Their swords and daggers clash each other every second knocking each other's faces and dodging blows and so on. At the moment they heard a roar, and they turned to see Aslan on the rock roaring.
"Impossible..." the Witch gasped.
Behind Aslan, Susan, Lucy, Mr. Tumnus and all the other ex stone creatures emerged. Then those creatures started rushing towards the villains. Mr. Tumnus forcefully shoved every villain one by one while the giant struck them down with his club. Peter and Dawn continued their fight against the Witch. Their swords and dagger were clanging continuously until the Witch disarmed Dawn and tripped Peter down on the ground.
"Don't hurt him!" Dawn shouted at her as she tried to pull the sword off the Witch's grip. But she nudged her with her arm and knocked her down. Dawn fell and rolled over meters away from Peter and the Witch. She watched as she pinned her boyfriend down through his chain mail with her sword.
"NO!" Dawn cried out as she reached out her hand. Before the Witch could give Peter a final blow with her sword, she was pounced by Aslan who jumped out of nowhere. Dawn ran to Peter and removed the sword off of his chain mail and helped him up to his feet. She wrapped her arms around her boyfriend, crying hysterically. After Aslan finished off the White Witch, he turned to Peter and Dawn. "It is finished." He calmly told them. They both slightly smiled in relief.
"Peter! Dawn!" Lucy called out and ran to her brother and friend's arms, followed by Susan.
"Where's Edmund and Esther?" Susan asked. Nobody answered. Edmund sat on the ground holding injured Esther in his hands, crying. Behind the two, was the Witch's dwarf, armed with an axe. "Edmund! Esther!" Susan shouted, firing her arrow at the dwarf.
"You guys!" Edmund shouted. They all ran to them. The children surrounded Edmund and the Princess and Susan caressed Esther's black hair. Lucy took out her cordial given by Father Christmas and let a drop of it land on Esther's lips. She and the others cried as they wait for Esther to wake up.
Esther soon woke up. "Ugh, what was that?" She groaned.
"Its a cordial which cures any injury." Lucy sniffled.
"Esther, you almost got killed!" Dawn wept. "We could've lost you!" Esther gave a small smile. "Sorry." She said. Edmund smiled at her. "When are you ever going to stop putting yourself in danger?"
"When are you ever going to learn to do as you're told?" Peter asked his brother.
"And when are you ever going to stop fighting?" Dawn asked Peter. They all started to laugh and the six friends all group hugged each other. They turned and see Aslan breathing on a stone satyr, bringing it back to life. Lucy looked at her healing cordial and sees it still quite full. She went to the injured creatures except the baddies and healed them with her cordial.
