Reunited

The next morning, Peter and Dawn exited the tent, due to lack of sleep. They both went to take a walk around Aslan's Camp hand in hand, feeling the fresh air all around them. And on their way back, Peter and Dawn spotted Oreius walking past by them, giving them a little smile. And in relief, they knew that Edmund and Princess Esther had made it out alive. The Centaur gestured the three figures in the distance to the two children. there, Peter and Dawn saw Aslan having a serious talk with his daughter and Edmund. Then Susan and Lucy came outside of their tent and saw them.

"Edmund, Esther!" Lucy shouted and tried to run to them, but Peter stopped his sister. Aslan, Edmund and Esther turned their heads toward the others. Esther gave a small, shy, wave. The other four smiled slightly and waved back. But Peter didn't. He gave Edmund rather a disappointed but yet contemplating look. Then Aslan finished his talk with Edmund and Esther and walked towards the four children.

"Whatever's done, is done." Aslan said firmly. "There's no speaking to Edmund of what is past."

Aslan then left the children alone. Edmund slightly looked up to his siblings and his friend. "Hello..." he said shyly and yet nervously, worried that they were still angry with him. But they weren't anymore. Lucy finally run to Edmund and wrapped her arms around him. Esther smiled at this. Edmund was surprised at first, but soon hugged back. Susan and Dawn also hugged him. "Why would you run off like that?" Dawn asked him. Edmund sighed. "I'm sorry." He said.

"It's ok..." Dawn forgave her friend. "We understand why you did."

Esther then sighed. "We are in for it now." She said glumly.

Edmund raised an eyebrow. "Meaning?" Esther bit her lip. "Nevermind." She brushed it off and went into her father's tent.

"Ok." Edmund said, shrugging his shoulders. "Are you alright?" Susan then asked.

"A little tired." Edmund simply said.

"Get some sleep." Peter said as he gestured to the tent. Edmund then headed to the tent. "And Edmund." He stopped his brother. "Try not to wander off." He warned him. Edmund smiled and went into the tent.

Soon, Esther walked out of her father's tent without a word. She spotted the children having breakfast outside of their tents. Esther went to join them. "Hi." She slightly smiled as she sat between Edmund and Dawn. Edmund looked at her with a blush and Lucy noticed this.

"Looks like you two found love." She wiggled her eyebrows.

"Oh, please...!" Esther said as she swiped her hand a little and Edmund giggled nervously. Susan laughed at this, but Esther gave her a sharp look. Susan looked away and stayed quiet. She still wondered why Esther was salty towards her compared to how she is towards her siblings and her friend. Edmund started to eat the toast spreader with some honey.

"Narnia's not going to run out of toast, Ed." Lucy told her brother. Edmund looked at Lucy and gave her a small smile.

"I'm sure they'll pack something up for the journey back." Peter responded.

Susan raised one of her eyebrows. "We're going home?"

"No, I'm not." Peter said. "You four are."

"What?" Dawn gasped. "Why?"

"Because it's dangerous." Her boyfriend answered. "I promised Mum I'd keep you three safe. But it doesn't mean I can't stay behind and help."

Dawn sighed sadly. "You can't just let us off and stay here alone." She told her boyfriend. "I have promised my father that we have to stay together."

Peter sighed. "But If you die, what will happen then?" He asked. Dawn didn't know what to say. She just sighed and looked down to her meal.

Esther sighed. "If you die, what will they do?" She asked him back. Peter looked at her. "Peter, we need all of your help, not just one of you." Esther said.

"Yeah." Lucy agreed. "They need all six of us!"

"Lucy, it's too dangerous." Peter retorted. "You almost drowned! Edmund was almost killed!" Edmund nodded. "You haven't seen what we have seen, Peter." He said. "Which is why we have to stay." Everyone looked at Edmund.

"I saw what the White Witch can do." He explained. "And I've helped her do it. And we can't leave these people behind to suffer for it." Esther nodded. "He's right." She said.

Susan sighed. "Well, I suppose that's it then." She got up and headed towards her archery items. Lucy and Dawn followed her and Esther stayed with the boys. "Where are you going?" Peter asked the three girls.

"To get in some practice." Susan smiled as she grabbed her bow and quiver of arrows. And Dawn and Lucy grabbed their weapons with them. The three friends went to the archery location not far from Aslan's Camp. Susan aimed her arrow with her bow to the target and fired it, and it hit off the target center. Lucy then practiced with her dagger by throwing it to the target and hit the bullseye. Susan and Dawn laughed in amazement. Dawn put her magical headphones on and sang a song which sounded much different than her voice compared to her normal singing. It was yet powerful, but her singing voice cut the target board in half.

"Oh man!" Dawn gasped. "What happened?"

Lucy smiled. "You did it."

"I didn't mean to break it!" Dawn laughed in disbelief. Susan laughed. "That was amazing."

Dawn laughed nervously. "Thanks." She said. Then the girls turned to see Peter, Edmund and Esther practicing sword fight on their horses. Esther laughed as Peter said. "Come on, Ed! Sword point up, like Oreius showed us." Esther and the boys clang each other's swords. "En garde!" Edmund said. "Now block." Peter commanded. Esther scream softly as she use her powers to block just as the sword almost hit her.

"Whoa," Edmund gasped. "Didn't see that coming, Est." Esther nodded. "I think I'm fine."

"You sure?" Edmund looked a bit concerned. Esther nodded again. "Yeah, been through worst." She said. Edmund nodded a bit sadly. Esther gave him a weak smile and Peter suddenly realized why Edmund cared so much for her.

Just then, Mr. Beaver hurried towards Esther and the two boys. "Peter! Edmund! Esther!" He called out panicking. Edmund's horse reared.

"Whoa, horsie!" Edmund said.

"My name is Philip" The horse said.

"Oh...sorry." Edmund apologized. Esther giggled. Peter got off of his unicorn. "What is it?" He asked Mr. Beaver.

"The Witch has demanded a meeting with Aslan!" Mr. Beaver told them. Peter, Edmund and Esther looked at each other and then to Mr. Beaver. "She's on her way here!" He warned them. Esther gasped. She now knew what her 'mother' was planning to do.
