Aslan's Camp

Springtime has finally arrived in Narnia. The children are now just wearing their shirts and no socks, and Lucy was just wearing her short sleeve dress. As they pass a tree, Lucy stopped and saw pink petals formed into a Dryad and waved to her. She smiled at the Dryad, waved back and followed the others as they entered the camp. The snow was now completely melted and replaced by grassy green lands, colorful flowers and clear, bright blue sky. Centaurs, Bears, Fauns and all other animals stopped what they are doing and saw the children pass through the camp. They smiled at the children and the beaver couple.

"Why are they all staring at us?" Susan asked.

"Maybe they think you look funny." Lucy smirked at her sister.

"Oh really?" Dawn and Susan asked. "Do I look funny to you?" Dawn whispered to her boyfriend. Peter giggled. "More like beautiful." He replied. Dawn blushed. "Why thanks." She smiled. Peter smiled back. "Of course."

The children and the beavers stopped in front of a huge red and gold tent where the Centaur stood guard. Peter pulled out his sword and held it front of him pointing to the sky. "We have come to see Aslan." Peter announced the Centaur. And everyone behind the children suddenly began to kneel down. Then, the big beautiful lion came out of the tent, who happened to be Aslan, the rightful king of Narnia. And the four children and the beavers knelt in front of the great lion as well.

"Welcome, Peter, Son of Adam." Aslan greeted. "And welcome, Susan, Lucy and Dawn: Daughters of Eve. And welcome to you, beavers. You have my thanks." He then looked around realized a few were missing. "But where is the fifth and my daughter?"

"That's why we're here, sir." Peter said sadly. "We need your help."

"We had trouble on our way here." Susan said.

"Their brother; our friend and your daughter...has been kidnapped by the White Witch." Dawn told Aslan.

"Kidnapped?" Aslan looked confused. "How could this be?"

"He uh..betrayed them, your majesty." Mr. Beaver clarified.

"Then he has betrayed us all." A Centaur said angrily, but Aslan stopped him. "Peace, Oreius." He told him. "I'm sure there is an explanation." Dawn nodded.

"It was my fault actually." Peter said as he looked down on the ground feeling very guilty and ashamed. "I was too hard on him." Susan placed her hand on his shoulder. "We all were." She added.

"We apparently alienated him kind of often, dear Aslan." Dawn sadly sighed. "If only we didn't do that, this problem wouldn't have happened." Aslan sighed. "Don't blame yourself, dear one." He reassured her. "Then who or what should I blame on?" Dawn asked. "The prophecy..." Aslan replied.

"Sir, he's our brother." Lucy said to the lion. Aslan nodded. "I know, dear one." He said. "But that only makes the betrayal all the worse. This may be harder than you think."

The children felt worried of what will happen to their brother and Esther. They could only hope that both of them will be rescued alive and be together with them. Soon, the Centaurs and the Dryads accompanied the children to the tents to get them settled and ready. Susan, Lucy and Dawn were clothed into long dresses with parts of their hair braided by the Dryads with flowers. Susan was in a forest green, Lucy in light blue and Dawn was in burgundy. And they exited the tent where Aslan and Peter were waiting. He was all clad in Narnian leather tunic and still armed with a sword.

"We're done now." Dawn announced him. Peter smiled at the three girls. "You all look gorgeous." He said.

"Thanks." Dawn smiled. "And you look handsome." Her boyfriend blushed. Aslan then beckoned Peter to come with him. "I got to go." He said. "Aslan wants to have a talk with me."

The girls nodded. "Sure. Susan will call you if we need anything." Lucy said. "I will, Pete." Susan agreed. Peter smiled and walked up to the hill with Aslan. The three girls went to the river side and watched the water flowing down, seeing how peaceful the land looks, with no one and nothing bothering them.

"Dawn looks so pretty." Lucy said in awe. "And Susan you look like Mum."

"Mum hasn't had a dress like this since before war." Susan said. "And neither did mine." Dawn added.

"We should bring one back." Lucy suggested. "A whole trunk full!" Dawn nodded. "Yeah!"

Susan chuckled. "Maybe we should." She then looked back at the other side of the creek. Her face then changed to solemn look. "But if we ever get back..." Lucy and Dawn looked at her and down to the ground sadly. Susan turned to the two girls.

"I'm sorry I'm like that." Susan apologized. "But we had a lot of fun, didn't we?"

"Yeah." Lucy said. "Before you got boring!" She laughed.

"Oh really?" Susan raised an eyebrow and splashed water at Lucy. "Ack!" Lucy shrieked and began to laugh. Dawn also joined in to play water with them. She and Lucy then splashed water at Susan. They splashed water, laughed and had fun. And it was time to get out of the creek. Susan headed to where her towel was and pulled it off the branch and BAM! The wolves appeared in front of them.

The girls screamed in shock and stumbled back.

"You...AGAIN??!!" Dawn shouted bravely.

"That's right!" Maugrim snarled. "And please don't run. We're tired."

"And we'd prefer to kill you quickly." The other wolf said. Dawn, Susan and Lucy turned to the tent where Susan's horn was hung. Quick as flash, Susan then threw the towel at one of the wolves and blew her horn. The three girls run up to they nearby tree and climbed up to escape the two wolves.

Peter heard the horn blasted in the air. "Susan!" He said and ran to the direction where he heard the screams. Both Dawn and Susan were dangling their feet at the wolves. And Lucy was hanging on the branch a little bit higher than theirs. "Ah!" Dawn shrieked and saw her boyfriend rushing towards their location. "Peter!" Peter took out his sword. "Get back!" He yelled to the wolves and they circled him. "Come on." Maugrim growled. "We've already been through this before. We both know you haven't got it in you." Peter stood his ground and pointed his swords at the two wolves.

"Peter, watch out!" Susan called out.

"Peter be careful!" Dawn cried out. She noticed that her boyfriend seemed a little hesitant to slay the wolves off. She couldn't bear to watch him get hurt. "Oh God, somebody do something!" The Centaurs galloped to the site and tried to help, but Aslan shook his head. "No. Stop!" Aslan stopped them. "This is Peter's battle." The Centaurs all stopped what they were going to do. The girls held their breaths as they watched the battle between Peter and the wolves. Peter gulped lightly.

"You think you're a king.." Maugrim glared at Peter. "But you're going to die...like a dog!" He then lunged at him and quick as flash, Peter stabbed the wolf with his sword. "Look out!" Susan cried. The girls then screamed for Peter when he and Maugrim fell to the ground. Peter was underneath the wolf and the girls jumped down from the tree to help him. They rolled the dead wolf off of him and Peter sat up, looking at his sisters and girlfriend in relief. The girls hugged him very tight with tears of joy.

"After him." Aslan said as he sent another wolf away. "Where are they going?" Lucy asked him.

"To your brother, dear." Aslan replied. Lucy nodded. "To save him?" She asked him. Aslan nodded. "Yes." He replied. "Oh..." Lucy nodded again. "Hopefully, he's alright." Dawn said. "Yeah...and Esther." Lucy said.

Aslan then turned his head towards Peter, who was still sitting with his sisters and his girlfriend. "Peter." Aslan announced. "You forgot to clean your sword." Peter looked at his sword which the tip of it was stained with blood. He blushed a little and cleaned it on the grass. He then knelt in front of Aslan with his sword and Aslan blessed him.

"Rise, Sir Peter Wolf's Bane." Aslan announced him. "Knight of Narnia." Dawn, Lucy and Susan gave him a smile. Peter rose up and drew his sword back in its sheath. He walked towards Dawn, wrapped his arms around her waist, lifted her and spun her around. Dawn giggled, and so did Susan and Lucy, who were even whispering to each other that their brother and their friend are in love. Now they had to wait for Edmund and Esther to be rescued and be brought to them and Aslan.
