Desires and Their Costs
Yep, I was naked as well, and the pain coming from my vagina made it obvious what our night entailed.
As the remnants of last night's excessive drinking found their way back up, I rushed into the en-suite bathroom. I leaned over the toilet bowl, my stomach heaving as I emptied its contents. The realization hit me with each retch – I had indeed slept with them. It was a horrendous thought, one that made my entire body shudder.
After a few minutes spent hunched over the toilet, I managed to rinse my mouth and wash my face. I still felt wobbly, and my thoughts a chaotic jumble. I sat on the bathroom floor. The waves of nausea began to subside as the hot water from the shower ran, turning into a soothing white noise.
I pondered for a short while in the serene atmosphere of the bathroom. Why book a hotel room? That question lingered in my foggy mind, along with the chopped-up memories of last night. My reflection in the mirror revealed the shock and disbelief I felt about how my night had unfolded.
I stared at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. My once-vibrant blonde hair now resembled a tangled mess, with unruly strands sticking out at odd angles. My green eyes, which usually held a spark of curiosity, appeared bloodshot and weary. Dark circles clung beneath them, smears of charcoal, revealing the signs of a restless night.
My normally rosy complexion seemed paler than usual. My lips, which typically had a natural blush, were now bitten and dry. Mascara smudges under my eyes looked like the aftermath of a storm, leaving tracks down my cheeks.
I was far from feeling my best, and the girl in the mirror looked like a hot mess, a stark difference from the composed version of myself I was used to seeing.
I realized I had to leave on my way to book an Uber. It hit me—I had no phone. Skylar tossed it out the window. Great, no phone, and I realized I was broke.
The good news was they weren't in the room, so I hurried to put on my dress. It smelled horrid.
As I stepped into the living room, my gaze inadvertently landed on the scene that unfolded before me. The lavish surroundings quickly faded into the background as my eyes locked on Sky and Joey, who were awake and locked in a passionate embrace.
They sat entwined on the plush couch, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. It was as if the world around them had disappeared, leaving only the two of them lost in the depths of their attraction. Their lips met with an intensity that held my gaze captive, an intimate display that made me feel like an intruder in a world of desires and emotions I couldn't comprehend. The view was so intense that I felt like I was invading their privacy as an unexpected witness to their captivating connection. I settled on leaving.
As I was about to exit the room, Joey's voice rasped out, "Stay," his grey eyes focused on me.
I walked over to a chair, avoiding their eyes as I admired the hotel suite. My gaze darted around the spacious, lavishly appointed hotel room.
The soft, muted colors of the walls and furnishings created an air of understated luxury. Large, ornate mirrors adorned the walls, reflecting the warm glow of chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Plush, velvet drapes framed the expansive windows that offered a view of the city skyline. Elegant artwork adorned the walls, adding a touch of sophistication to the space. It was a room fit for royalty, a stark contrast to my current predicament.
Skylar's tone had softened from yesterday when she asked, "What can you possibly do to repay me for ruining one of my favorite shoes and offering a measly $100?"
"I could make payments in installments," I replied in a barely audible voice, unsure how to explain the stress I'd been under.
"Speak up. We can't hear you," Joey said, and Skylar chimed in, "Making payments would take too long."
"I don't have the money," I confessed with mounting anxiety, worried that they might involve the police.
Joey asked, "Do you have any valuable skills or possessions you can offer?"
And Skylar added with a curious glance, "Something worthwhile to compensate."
"I could help you with your schoolwork," I offered, even though we didn't share any classes.
"Are we idiots to need help with school?" Skylar snapped.
"We don't attend similar classes," Joey noted, shaking his head.
"Hurry up! Our time is valuable," Skylar sternly said.
I felt like I was between a rock and a hard place. I had nothing I could offer them unless I begged for forgiveness. Why would I sleep with two evil people like them? The fear of jail or becoming a burden to my parents was a heavy weight on my shoulders. I couldn't hold back the tears because there was no way out.
Joey had a look of guilt shining in his grey eyes while Skylar laughed.
"We were just kidding," Skylar laughed.
"Yeah, Skylar was mad you ignored her, but don't worry about reimbursement. The shoes aren't that special," Joey whispered as he tapped Skylar maybe to stop laughing.
They had been playing a prank on me, and my heart pounded with embarrassment. I grabbed my belongings and decided to leave. I didn't care if I had to walk home; I just wanted out.
"Where are you going?" Joey asked as he saw me head to the door.
I ignored him, but they didn't let me leave.
"He asked you a question," Skylar stated, grabbing my hand.
"Home," I said, trying to free myself.
"No, you're not leaving out in that liquor-drenched dress," Joey stressed, heading to their room.
Skylar offered, "We could give you a ride home if you'd like."
"Here are some clothes you can change into," Joey said, returning with designer outfits.
"Thanks, but..." I began, hesitating and unsure if this was another part of their game.
"Your dress looks like a mess, and you smell horrible," Skylar said. "Besides, you don't have any money, and it's not good for you to walk around like that."
"Okay," I cautiously replied, taking the clothes and heading to the bathroom for a shower.
While the water poured down on me, I pondered about yesterday.
Skylar and Joey turned me into their entertainment. I wondered about their overall plan and if they were still joking.
As I scrubbed my body under the hot water, my fingers traced over the telltale marks that adorned my skin. The hickeys, a vivid reminder of the night before, had me feeling a mix of emotions. Embarrassment washed over me as I realized how much they had marked me. Each bruise seemed like an indelible record of my indiscretions.
The soreness of the hickeys persisted, a constant reminder of the passionate moments shared in the haze of last night's desires. My thoughts raced as I considered their implications as I exited the shower.
I couldn't help but wonder why Skylar and Joey had covered me in these intimate souvenirs. It was as though they had staked a claim on me, and I was left grappling with the consequences of our impulsive actions.
The hickeys were a visible manifestation of my recklessness, and as I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of unease as I finished putting on the clothes they offered.
"Finally," Skylar groaned. She had a white cropped top and grey leggings with shades on her face.
"Well, let's head out," Joey happily said as he exited the room. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a white T-shirt. I wondered if they plan to match or not.
"So, where do you live," Joey questioned as he opened the door for us. I told them they could drop me off at the Wendy's by my home. I didn't mind walking from there. Nor would I want them to know where I lived.
"Well, we will see you around, Isabella," Skylar said with a wink.
"See you late, Bella, "Joey stoically said.
I hope I never see them again. I thought as I started walking home. Before I opened the door, I could hear the chaos unfolding inside.
