Chapter 20: This Morning
Hanji's POV
I woke up to no one else in bed with me. With a heavy sigh, I decided to watch a bit of TV. Wherever Levi was, I hope he'll get breakfast. Dozing off to the TV, I finally heard the hotel door opening.
"Hanji? You up?"
I nodded my head, "Yeah. Levi, did you get me breakfast?"
Levi walked into view with a smirk on his face. "Thought it'll be nice if we had pancakes for breakfast. I could've gotten room service, but... I wanted the two of you to sleep. And besides, I found out a bit of information for the nearby beach."
"Oh? Like what?"
He hands me my box of pancakes and a small handful of syrup and butter packets. "The person I talked to said there's a little... what's the word? Lagoon. It's pretty well hidden, and people often get lost trying to find it. They eventually give up and go back to the normal beach instead. I was thinking... maybe we can try to find it. If we could, we can spend the entire day there... doing whatever we want." He kisses me as his free hand traveled down my bare body. "If you know what I mean..."
"You have a perverted mind..." I chuckled before pulling away from him. My hands began to open the pancake box. "Sounds like a good idea. Sex on a beach seems to be something you'll see in movies... oh, but the sand though..."
"Then when we come back to the hotel room, I'll scrub you down- head to toe." His tone of voice lowers a bit. Almost romantic.
"You're just looking for an excuse to bathe with me." I chuckled, buttering the pancakes with the plastic knife. "It is a big bathtub... I wouldn't mind having some company. And since it's so huge... shower sex?"
"That's not what I was leaning towards, but sure, Hanji. I didn't think you'll be this horny... but you're still a high school student- I guess that's the reason." Levi sarcastically says before sitting down on the bed next to me. He took out his box of pancakes and began devouring it. "What were you watching?"
"Just some morning crime/drama shows. I love watching them... I think when I was little, I wanted to be a detective."
"What do you want to become now?"
"Hm... I did want to be some sort of scientist... but now, I think I want to be a science teacher. Maybe we can teach at the same school... but as long as it's science, I really don't mind what to do."
Levi scoots over to me to the point where we are mere centimeters away. "You should figure out what you want to do. And don't become a teacher just because I am one."
"I know, Levi... I'm just not too sure. Maybe a year or two in college, and I'll figure it out. I just know I love science. I love trying to find new things... but then again, I have to take care of the little one once they're born..." I rubbed my stomach, unable to hold my smile in. "They'll be here soon..."
"I hope we don't get twins," Levi grumbles before he took a few bites of his pancakes. "I rather deal with one child than two at a time."
My eyebrow rose slightly as I ate. No twins? Is there something you're not telling me, Levi? "Levi, did your mom say anything about twins in your family? I mean, on your mother's side since... I should stop talking about that..."
Levi laughs, kissing my cheek. I felt a bit of syrup sticking on my cheek after he kissed me. "I'm not bothered by any question you ask me, Hanji. And there was nothing about twins on my mom's side. I know genetics play a part, but I know it's just the mother's body. It's just... by the time you give birth, if nothing bad happens, I'll be teaching again. Who is going to help stay home and take care of the twins if I'm working? Your friend, Nanaba, was going to college, right? I don't want to leave you home alone with these sort of problems..."
"I love the challenge-."
"But it's not just a challenge. It's two little... bundles of... stink bombs."
I was about to ask him how he knows they stink, but I remembered about Isabel and how often Levi would help her out at the daycare. Of course, he would know how babies smell when their diaper needs to be changed. I could ask Isabel... but Levi wanted to wait until I graduate before he introduces me to them.
"Stink bombs that cries. I've handled twins with Isabel before, and it's not fun."
My shoulders shrugged a bit, listening to his side. "I see... but, either way, I can't wait for this baby to be born soon. What if it's a girl? Or a boy? Do we need to stay in your apartment when they are born? Or should we find a house? Ugh... I didn't think this through..."
Levi laughs softly, nudging my arm. "Don't worry, Hanji. We got about 9 months or so."
"Oh, 10. I actually looked it up. It's around 10." More or less...
"Huh... still, that's a long time to figure things out. No need to worry about it too much. And I'll handle almost everything. You just need to keep calm and do your work. I'll let you carry your side of affairs when you're able."
"Let's just hurry up eating. I want to go to the lagoon now!"
