Alex's POV

      After the surgery and the babies got cleaned up, the doctors left the room to let  Chloe and I have some much needed one on one time. My princess is sleeping in the bed and all I can do is stare at the twins laying down in the hospital crib. They're beautiful.

     Ashley Landon Hall. 

     Madison Avana Hall.

     Perfect.

      After waiting for nine months and so much struggle and growth I finally have the family that I always dreamed of. I used to have dreams every night of having my own Mate and some pups.  I used to pray to the Goddess every night with tears running down my cheeks asking her why I wasn't good enough to meet my Mate. I went four lonely years without someone by my side and I would do every single moment over again if it will lead me back here. Every single second.

     Not only do I have the most beautiful, confident caring person in the world as my Mate, but he also granted me the blessing of being a father to twins. My beautiful Ash and Matty. I've never felt so overwhelmed in my life and for once it isn't fear or regret that's filling me but pure unfiltered gratitude and happiness.

    I also have a huge rowdy family. The kind of family I always wanted. I have a bunch of brothers and two little sisters that will be the best Aunts and Uncles in the world. Every single one of those people will give everything to every kid any of us have and I'm so lost as to how just one person can be this blessed but I will never question it, only vow to cherish every moment with them forever and never take them for granted.

      "Hey, pups." I whisper down to the babies and they immediately begin squirming and making little noises in response. The action makes me tear up until I jump at the sound of Chloe's voice.

      "Looks like they love your voice just as much now as they did in my tummy." He says and I look up with a smile when I see his eyes train on the three of us with his own tears in his eyes. He begins to try and sit up and I go to him, helping him raise the bed so he doesn't irritate or tear anything the doctors and nurses patched up after the surgery.

      "It's only because they haven't heard yours yet." I tell him and he smiles up at me softly.

     "Can you bring them to me?" He asks his voice choked and I nod turning around to pick up Matty first and softly set her in Chloe's arms. His tears spill over as he smiles down at her and coos at her small body. "You're so pretty Matty." He whispers to her and to the both of our surprise her eyes flutter open, straining against the light in the room.

     "Holy fuck, Chloe. You were right." With Ashley in my arms I'm leaning over him to see that Madison does in fact have my chocolate brown eyes. He nods but his focus is not on me at all. After a few moments, he widens his other arm and I lower Ashley into the crook.

       "Hey Ash, am I right about you, too?" He whispers and the pup takes longer than his sister to open his eyes but sure enough when he does his little eyes are a light hazel though they're  leaning more towards blue then green. "You guys are perfect." He whispers to the two of them and places a kiss on both of their foreheads.

      "Are you ready for them to come in?" I ask him after a couple of quiet minutes and he looks up at with a soft smile before he nods. I lean down to give all three of my blessings a kiss before I leave the room and head down the hall to the waiting area where I find our friends talking excitedly amongst themselves. The first to spot me is Ares and for once the smile on his face is pure and open as he stands up and comes towards me to wrap me in a hug.

      The rest of the group gets up and they look at me expectedly as Ares pulls back. I have to swallow a few times before I answer but my voice is still thick when I do. "They're perfect." I tell them and they're cheers all around the room before I start leading them back to Chloe, James' arms around me.

     "Congrats, man. I'm proud of you. I know how long you've waited for this." He tells me and I grin at him looking down at the floor before I raise my head to meet his eyes.

     "Fuck, man I'm so happy. I couldn't even explain it to you if I tried." I tell him and he laughs at me as we arrive at Chloe's room. "Okay guys try to be quiet, it's been a long day for my princess and the babies haven't cried yet. Wash your hands before you hold them please." I tell them group and though some of them seem a bit impatient to meet their niece and nephew they all nod in agreement.

     I open the door and we quietly enter. Chloe still has the twins in his arms, smiling down at them with a gaze full of love. When he hears the door open he looks up and smiles brightly when he sees our friends coming in behind me. They form a line at the sink and begin to wash their hands, Cody being the first to be done, dries them and goes straight for Chloe.

      "This is Ashley and this is Madison. Guys this is your Uncle Cody." My lover introduces the three of them and Cody's hands flutter uncontrollably with excitement before he sits in the bed beside Chloe and is handed a quiet still Ashley.

      "He's so small and quiet." He whispers as he looks down at out bundled angel with a smile. "He's perfect."

     Graves and Cora are the next to be done by the sink and the man has Cora sit down on the couch carefully before he brings over a squirming Madison. "Be careful babygirl. Fold your arms like this and I'll put her in them, okay?" Cora nods and follows directions, staying still as Madison is lowered into her arms.

    The little stares down at our own babygirl quietly to my surprise. She just stares down at the chocolate eyes and holds her closely to her chest. After a few minutes I hear the words, "I can't wait." Fall from her lips and I notice that her lisp in gone as she holds our precious gift from the Goddess herself. Ares joins the two of them on the couch and I watch as Thomas and James are crowded around Ashley in Cody's arms.

     I walk over to my pup and place my hand on his cheeks making him look up at me with a proud smile on my face. "We did it Chloe." I tell him and his hand comes up to cover mine.

     "We did it." He whispers back and I turn my head to watch all of our friends.

     'I never thought this day would come for us.' Tobias tells me as he watches the babies and our families right along with me.

      'Neither did I at times. But here we are. People would kill to have what we have.' I tell him and he hums his agreement.

      'We're going to be the best parents ever.' He tells me with a grin and I laugh internally only grateful that his usual cock personality is finally returning. I had missed the banter with my wolf, and it's finally returning much to my happiness.

    'Yeah we are. We'll make mom and dad proud.' I tell him quietly looking up at the ceiling for a second and he agrees with a sad smile. Just then there's a knock on the door and a nurse sticks her head in with a professional smile.

      "I've brought a visitor." She says and I nod for her to bring them in. I smile and gasp in shock when I see Briana coming through the door, her jet lag obviously trying to drag her down as I hurry around the bed and head over to her.

     "Bri! I didn't  think you would make it today!" I tell her as I wrap her in a hug and she shrugs.

    "I was about to be on my  way out the country when you called but I luckily was able to rent a car and drive here instead of waiting on another flight." She tells me and I gap at her.

    "You drive five hours to get here?" I ask trying to keep my voice steady and she gives me a knowing smile as she answers.

      "Alex this is the happiest I've ever see you. I wouldn't let anything stop me from being here today." She promises me and I pull her into a hug once more before I finally let go.

    "Come on. Go wash your hands. You have to meet the other half of our little family." I tell her and she grins, setting her bag down on the counter before she washes and dries her hands. Knowing that Cody probably isn't going to give Ashley up any time soon, I lead her over to the couch where Ares is looking down at Madison like she's the cutest thing he's ever seen.

       'As he should. Because she most definitely is.' Tobias claims and I don't disagree with him as I lean down carefully to hold her in my arms before placing her softly in Bri's who already has tears streaming down her face.

      "Bri, meet baby Madison. She has mom's eyes." I tell her proudly and she gasps when she sees them for herself.

      "Oh Goddess she's so beautiful." She whispers with tears streaming down her face and I have to agree. I look over to see James with Ashley in his arms as he Cody and Thomas get off the bed and make their way over to where the rest of our family is crowed.

     I head back to my princess and help him scoot over before I climb into bed beside him.

    "Thank you." I whisper to him and his hands find mine to give them a squeeze.

    "Thank you." He returns to me and we both watch quietly as people who claim to be big bad and tough loose it completely when Ashley burps and Madison continues her baby noises.

      As I lay there with my Mate and watch my family, I let a few tears escape for everything that's changed my life for the better.

This made me cry so many times. I'm so so so happy for them. They deserve the world. The character development the angst the love. God I love this book.
