Although it was an universal truth that giving away the child you have practically gown in your womb is the most hurtful thing in this world .... Thinking that you have to give away the baby who would actually raise a motherly feeling inside you is tough to the power infinity but there are times when people are compelled to do so ........

Thinking that she was in the same position where the universe had certainly blocked all her options of saving her father,  Shehnaaz took in a deep breath before scanning her eyes through the whole paper for the final time before taking the pen from Sidharth and signing on it ........

Closing the file she exhaled loudly making herself to feel embarrassed infront the two members sitting opposite to her ....... Forwarding the folder as well as the pen towards them , Shehnaaz raised her eyes to look at the man infront of her .........

She didn't know why was her heart banging so loudly inside her chest  but that was enough to make her not so dumb self understand that she was certainly attracted towards the man ....... Shaking her head to stop fantasizing about her client Shehnaaz abruptly stood up from her seat........

" I guess that's it then...... " She looked at Sidharth......

" I'll text you sir's phone number for further communication  " Raj said .......

" Umm sure " Shehnaaz replied......

" Make sure you are present in the clinic sharp at 8 "  Sidharth stated......

" Yes Mr Marwah...... " She nodded .......

Picking up her bag she walked out of the room while still clutching on her phone as if her life depended on it ....... Entering the elevator Shehnaaz leaned on the metal wall and stood there while her eyes remained closed ........

She was having a massive turmoil inside her heart  , the moment she thought that the little life was going to leave her the moment he or she is born was actually ripping her heart apart   ........ Taking in deep breath she tried to stop herself from crying her heart out ........

She loves kids , she has always loved them to the moon and back but the first time she was going to have one was because she didn't have any option ........ She needed to sell her child because there's no way to save her father ........

Wiping away the series of tears that had slipped from her eyes she opened her eyes finally ...........

" I'm going to love and take care of my baby till the day he or she is with me...... " She promised herself .......

Taking in a deep breath she left the hotel just after having a last look towards the huge building she was in merely a few moments ago ........

Walking out of the humongous iron gates of the hotel premises she stood on the side of the road for a bit before unlocking her phone and switing on the GPS map to locate the nearest busstop .........

The sun dimmed into a thin line of horizon creating a masterpiece in the sky making it look just like a million dollar painting while the moon made her way to her place ......... The faint moon light illuminating the dark bedroom just enough for the others to navigate inside it while a figure sat there on the cold floor resting her back on the bed ...........

Her unfocused eyes looking at the white walls while her face had the steaks of dried tears that had fallen in the last couple of hours ......... Shehnaaz didn't actually know what she should have felt at that moment.......

At one point her mind wanted her to fulfil her duty towards her family while on the other than she wanted to destroy herself ......... She wanted to punish herself for thinking that she was going to sell a pure soul for money.........

Trying to stop herself from thinking worse , Shehnaaz finally wiped out her tears and stared blankly into the darkness.........

" Let's see what the future beholds for us little one ........ Although you are not here yet but just remember that this mother of yours will love you to the infinity and back " she whishpered.......

In the city of Ahmedabad two souls were diving deep into their own set of thoughts about their future ..........

Sidharth who had drove back to his apartment just after signing the contract with Shehnaaz and asked his PA repeatedly to do a background check on her ......... He wasn't such a person who would like to poke his nose into someone's personal business but he had the right to check about the woman who was going to be the potential biological mother of his child ..........

Sitting in the livingroom couch with his laptop infront of him , he was once agained banged with the thoughts that he was starting to like his now surrogate .......... He was so shocked that he didn't know how to control his weeping heart.........

Although he had promised himself many times  that he won't be getting attached to any woman what so ever in the future after what he had gone through but this time it was a feeling created on the very first impression..........

Controlling himself with everything in him , Sidharth closed the laptop and stared at his lap before saying ..........

" I won't judge people without knowing about them ......... I should be happy that I'm finally getting my baby....... "

Hours passed and the whole landscape was bathed in the warm glow of the rising sun over the horizon ........

Shehnaaz woke up as if a jolt of electricity had passed through her entire body before looking at the clock  ........ It was 7: 20 am .......

She ran towards the washroom with her towel in her hand while chanting various religious hymns to make sure that she isn't late by God's grace .........

Yes she was a junior lawyer but that didn't ensure that she was really punctual all the time....... It was something that depended on her body clock to be exact ........

Having a shower in record time she came out of the bathroom wrapped in her towel when her eyes landed on her best friend cum roommate who was sleeping peacefully on her bed ........ Shaking her head to ignore her,  Shehnaaz picked out a short Kurti and jeans for today and rushed inside to wear them........

Tieing her hair in a old fashioned plaits she picked up her tote bag and phone before proceeding to go out of the room........

In the early hours of the Sunday morning where the highly congested roads were empty like a racing track , Shehnaaz sat there inside the bus waiting for her destination to arrive......

The slightly chilly winds slapping on her face while the tyres rolled on the empty roads for the last fifteen minutes .........

Unlocking her phone she checked the message once again to make sure about the address before getting down in the very next stop
....... By the time she reached the gates of the clinic her lungs ached to get adequate about of  air to breathe ..........

She entered inside the building and looked around to find atleast one of the man in there when she felt a tap on her shoulder....... Turning her head to find out the reason for a sudden tap she came across Sidharth who was standing there behind her in his casuals .......

Feeling awkward under his gaze she took a few steps back before looking up at him .......

" Sir ...... " Shehnaaz said .......

" Let's go ........ Dr Kuntal is waiting for us " Sidharth stated......

" S... sure " she replied ........

Looking around inside the clinic where the walls were filled with the pictures of babies , families and pregnant women she felt a slight tug in her heart that she was going to look same in just a few months..........

Trying to control her breathing she followed Sidharth towards the doctors chamber before entering inside through the translucent glass door ..........

" Well come back Mr Marwah " Dr Kuntal said .......

" Hmm .... " Sidharth hummed.....

" So this must be the willing biological mother of your child...... " Dr Kuntal enquired.......

" She is " He stated ........

" In that case we need to perform a wholebody checkup today ........ " Dr Kuntal said ......

" Okay " Shehnaaz compelled ......

" By the way she is Shehnaaz " Sidharth introduced her. ........

" So Shehnaaz ,  we'll start by taking your blood sample for the tests and then proceed with a ultrasound , an ECG and get a urine sample of yours ....... " Dr Kuntal clarified.......

She called a nurse and asked asked her to take a blood sample from her ......... The nurse nodded her head and proceeded to do what she was asked by picking up some sample containers and syringes to do her work ..........

The nurse stood infront of her and asked for her arm ......Shehnaaz forwarded her arm towards her and closed her eyes ........

Shehnaaz although was a gown up young woman but her fear of needles was something she could never overcome .........

As the nurse proceed to inject the syringe into her skin she closed her eyes while unconsciously grabbing a hold of Sidharth's arm .........

She held him in her tight grip out of fear untill she was informed that the nurse was done with her work ........ She opened the eyes and looked towards the round band-aid covering her needle punctured hole on her skin when she heard the clearing of a throat .......

Turning her head to see the person who wanted to grab her attention she looked at Sidharth who was infact looking at his arm ...... Lowering her eyes towards the said direction she became aware of her strong hold on him ........

Feeling embarrassed with her actions her cheeks started to grow crimson while she left him before lowering her head to look down ......

Filing the containers with the required amount of blood , the nurse left the room leaving the three of them sitting in there .......

" Before we proceed with the further tests , I want to ask a few questions to you ..... " Dr Kuntal said  .......

" Sure ma'am please go ahead " Shehnaaz replied  .......

" Did you involved in any type of hormonal treatment  in the recent years ... ? " the doctor asked .....

" No " she replied ......

" Is there any way you are sextually active ? " Dr  enquired . .....

" No ...... I'm a Virgin " Shehnaaz replied .......

" Any contraceptive pills you are taking ..? " Dr probed......

" No ma'am  " Shehnaaz said .......

" smoking , alcohol or drugs ? " Dr pried.....

" Nope ...... never in my life " She answered ......

" Good then let's proceed to finish your ultrasound " Dr Kuntal said.....

While Sidharth stayed insde the chamber itself the area where the ultrasound was going to be performed was covered by a curtain .......

She laid down on the bed and lifted up her top as asked before the doctor picked up a container and looked towards her ......

" Well I'm going to apply some gel and it's going to be cold okay .... " Dr Kuntal said ......

Shehnaaz nodded her head as a response before letting the doctor do what she needed......

" Your ovaries look fine , the uterus is in good shape,  the walls are seemed to be thickening ...... " The doctor commented looked at the monitor ......

" Well when was the last time you had your period ...? " Dr Kuntal asked........

Hearing that she was asking about her period which was like tainted topic to be talking about in the public and that too when there's a man sitting there on the other side of the curtains......

Shehnaaz didn't know what was she thinking when the question was asked to her , she didn't know if she was going to answer truthfully or not because according to her or much rather the people of her village in Punjab the arrival of the monthly devil was something they should never talk about with the others except their mother but now it was the doctor who was asking her that ........

Looking towards the doctor who stared at the monitor carefully she released a sigh to get her attention .....

" Answer me Shehnaaz ......when did you have your period last time ....? " Dr Kuntal asked ......

" Do you really need to know that .....? " she asked .....

" I do ....... because except that I can't tell when we should insemination you ...... " Dr Kuntal clarified.......

" Oh ....." Shehnaaz whishpered......

" Please tell me the date or the days passed by after you got your period ...... " The doctor said ......

" Four days ........ my period ended four days ago ..... " Shehnaaz replied .....

" That's good ...... then you are going to ovulate sooner than expected ..... " The doctor commented  ........

Giving her some paper towels to Wipe away the gel both of them got out of their places ....... Shehnaaz adjusted her clothes as much as she could before coming out of the secluded area behind the curtain .....

" So what do you think Doctor ? " Sidharth asked......

" To be honest I don't think that there's any problem but just to be safe we need to wait for the test results ....... " Dr Kuntal replied ......

" Oh.... okay ...... " He retorted......

" Here take this container and collect your urine sample and come back " Dr Kuntal said while handing out a sample container to her .....

" ummm ...... okay " Shehnaaz answered while getting up from her chair and moving out of the cabin ......

Walking down the hall she reached the washroom and and proceeded to do what she was asked before coming out of the place after taping the lid and writing her details on the label before handing over the nurse who had previously collected her blood sample .......

Washing her hands she was coming back towards the chamber when her eyes landed on a heavily pregnant woman sitting in the waiting area .......

Her hands were caressing her belly which seemed to be atleast 8 months while dreamely staring at her supposed husband with a smile on her face ........ Looking at the happy couple egarly waiting for the arrival of their baby her mind once again raced to the though that may be in a few months she was the one who is going to experience the same thing .........

With a smile decorating her once gloomy and embarrassed face after telling about her last monthly arrival date she walked back to the doctors cabin before entering inside ......

" I gave the sample to the nurse " Shehnaaz said ......

" Good job " The doctor replied.....

" So now Mr Marwah is going to take you to the  ECG lab and finish the test ....." The doctor said ......

" Okay then but when will we receive the reports .....?" Sidharth probed ......

" Tomorrow evening Mr Marwah ...... " Dr Kuntal replied ......

" Also ..... if everything goes as I'm expecting it to be,  then we can have our fist insemination session in five days ..... . " Dr Kuntal stated .....

" That's good ..... " Sidharth grumbled.......

Coming out of the cabin both of them walked towards the ECG lab where she entered alone ...... The technicians made her lay down on the bed before applying some gel on her chest and sticking the metal nodes on her chest , wrist and leg .........

They collected the data as required before letting her leave the room ........

Moving out of the clinic both Sidharth and Shehnaaz stood in the parking area side by side when she asked ...... 

" Sir ...... I have completed the part of examination as you wanted me to do ...... "

" You did " Sidharth acknowledged.....

" Sir can I actually get the money now ...? " She asked ......

" It's risky you know .....The test results aren't out yet and we don't know if you can actually be my surrogate....... " Sidharth retorted......

" I know sir ....But I assure you that the results will be good ..... I sware I have no illness that can actually harm a child in any way ...... " She tried......

" But still " Sidharth said being unconvinced .....

" You see ..... I need the money asap ...... I need 12 lakhs to save my father please....... " She cried .......

Letting out a sigh he looked at her face for quite a while before taking his phone out and dialling a number.......

" Send the money to her bank account " is all he ordered to the person on the other end......

She was about to thank him for the deed before going back to her place when her phone chimed in ....... She unlocked her phone and looked at the new message when her eyes landed on the amount deposited to her back account .........

Raising her head towards the her potential client she looked at him with teary eyes before saying......

" thank you so much ... Mr Marwah  "

" It's okay " he replied before striding towards his car and getting inside the matt black Porche.......

She stood there looking at the fading silhouette of the car before looking at the message once again.....

Not only did Sidharth send her the 12 lakhs she had begged for on top of that he had given her 3 lakhs extra .......

Looking at the sum of money with her still teary eyes before closing for once again asked and opening them ........ She hailed a auto-rickshaw from the road and instructed the driver to bring her to the nearest SBI branch  .....
