Chapter 2

I wake up when I feel a warm breath against my neck. I slowly open my eyes to come face to face with bright red eyes and blond hair.

"Don't make a sound," the figure whispers harshly as they put a hand over my mouth to stop any sound escaping, "make a sound and I'll kill you."

I nod vigorously and he slowly takes his hand away from my mouth. I don't make a sound, as I do not wish to die, especially like this. I look at his form that hovered over mine; I give him a confused look.

"What a good little princess." He says, his relatively blank expression not changing.

He rips the warm blanket off of me and I shiver as the freezing air hits me. He stands up on top of the bed and looks back down at me. He hooks his arms around my back and knees, hauling me up bridal style. He jumps off of the bed and walks over to the open window.

"Hold on tight." He says as he jumps off of the ledge.

I gasp and cling to him, since my wings were pinned under his arms, if he dropped me I wouldn't be able to open my wings fast enough to catch myself before I landed on the ground. My eyes were clamped shut tightly, when I feel that we had stopped plummeting downwards. Begrudgingly I open my eyes to see that we were flying. I glance behind him and see a large pair of bat like wings and a barbed tail.

"You're the demon," I stutter, "the one who killed and injured the guards."

"Well, that didn't take you long to figure out." The demon replies.

"Well what do you want with me?" I ask, "I'm nothing important."

"Nothing important?" the demon repeats my words, "you're a princess, of course you're important."

Both of us go quiet for a while, not really knowing what to say.

"Where are you taking me?" I finally speak up.

"Somewhere where no one would think of," he mumbles, "Earth."

"Earth?!" you stutter, "We can't hide among humans."

"Well, no one will think of Earth," the demon shrugs, "they'll think I took you back to hell."

"What will you do with me?" I ask, not really wanting to know the answer.

He glances down at me, "nothing, but if you try to run..." he trails off, his expression changes to a dark one, "I'll break your legs."

I flinch at his low voice threatening me, goosbumps prickle my skin. I was now even more scared of him than I was before.

'He's mad.' I think to myself as I stare at him, wide eyed.

"I was just kidding," he says after a moment, his expression and voice returning to as it was, "I wouldn't hurt such a beauty."

"You really are creepy." I state, looking away from him.

"Thanks," he deadpans, "now, you may pass out as we go through the portal."

I don't say anything as I send him a confused look when I don't see any sort of portal.

The demon throws me up in the air and I let out a stifled yelp. A moment later I'm caught in one of the demon's arms. The other had pulled out a sword, which I hadn't noticed on him earlier. I hear him begin to mumble words unknown to me. He slashes the sword in a downwards motion and a large red and black warp portal opens up.

"(Y/n)!" I hear John call from a distance.

I look up to see him flying towards me, a large set of troops behind him. The demon skilfully slips the sword away and flies into the portal. And just as he had said, my eyes slide closed and I fade into darkness.

When I awaken, I feel whatever I am lying on is extremely uncomfortable. I slowly sit up and let out a pained groan. I look down to see that I had been left on a couch.

"Awake, I see" I hear the demon's voice speak up.

I turn to see the demon standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame.

"Where are we?" I ask, my voice groggy from what I assume to be, long nap.

"We're in a small apartment I had gotten previous to getting you," The demon explains, "we will be staying here."

"Listen demon," I begin, "if you let me go I will get you whatever you want."

"Nice try," the demon huffs, "but you can't bargain with me."

"Wait," you call just as he was about to walk away, "what's your name?"

"Dave." He says before walking out.
