Chapter 6

Artemis noticed that Annabeth wasn't there for capture the flag, nor the meals of the day, and the huntress was intrigued as she saw her laying at the bedside of someone in very, very dark clothes. Artemis' curiosity got the best of her and she moved towards the front of the infirmary when Zoe came up next to her.

"Milady you aren't actually considering healing this male now are you" she said and Artemis shook her head

"No I am curious as to who it is, and why Annabeth was so persistent" she said and Zoe nodded and they both walked into the infirmary and approached the room that Annabeth was in. They looked through the window and saw Annabeth laying on her arm with it propped up against the bed side. The view of the boy was still blocked though, so they slowly opened the door and went inside.

Artemis and Zoe went different directions around the two, and once they saw why Annabeth was being so persistent, they gasped. Percy's condition was worse than it had been before lunch. The two rushed to the boy's side and Artemis closed her eyes and waved her hand over Percy's body. The poison that Orion had on his blades was fatal to even a god, and it was surprising that this boy had lasted so long against it. Especially with how many cuts and entrance wounds that he had gotten to allow the poison into his system. Annabeth had now woken up and was looking solemnly at Percy.

"It's gotten worse since we got here" she said revealing his hands after she took off his gloves "the poison was at his eyes, arms, and waist, but it had spread further than his neck, and I didn't want to take off his shirt for fear of what may be underneath"

Artemis and Zoe pulled back his cloak to reveal a series of weapons along his chest, belt, and he was laying on two long swords that glowed with power. Artemis realized that they were silver, since when did silver get blessed without her knowledge. Much less given to a human dressed like this, and for what purpose.

"Apollo!" Artemis yelled and there was a flash of light as Apollo flashed down

"Jeez lil sis you don't have to---" he finally notice why she called him down and he rushed by Percy's side and put his hand on his head.

"How long has he been like this" he asked as he healed the poor boy and Annabeth shrugged

"I found him in class in the morning mot moving and he seemed too still to be sleeping" she said and the darkness seemed to be receding.

"Jeez this kid is powerful, I haven't felt power and drive like this since the big three had their small war, of which American's call World War 2? I never understood their concepts for describing things that don't make logical sense" Apollo said and he seemed to be straining to get the rest of the poison out "his body seems to be frosting over in order to preserve itself so that it can slowly heal itself once the poison has stopped spreading and frozen over, how did he even get this much entry marks for the poison to enter his system this heavily?" Apollo was looking at Annabeth, but she seemed clueless. She didn't know what happens to Percy after he leaves school, and the one night told her that she'd best stay away from him.

"Actually I think I know that one" Artemis said looking at Apollo "we found Orion pinned to the wall with at least twenty-five or more arrows through his body, and an enchanted silver knife in his chest. I think that this boy left him there like that after he killed his mother, and as we all know by the frost his father must be Boreas"

"That would make sense" Annabeth said "I mean the first time he got into our class he somehow found where Alecto was hiding, dragged her from her hiding spot in the ceiling with two ice blades that came from those things on his wrists, and then pin her to the floor with daggers of ice" Annabeth said "but we don't have a cabin for the Boreas children, he's a minor god, and that actually may not be his real father. I mean he's too powerful to seem like just a child of the wind and snow god."

"Then thee just have to wait till thy is claimed" Zoe said and Artemis caught Apollo as he passed out, all of the poison from Percy's system was gone, and Annabeth was too shocked from learning that Percy had taken on and won against the archery giant with no help. Percy immediately opened his eyes, well they were already open, but his eyes moved and his head tilted. Then he disappeared, and the scent of ocean waves was left behind him.

"Oh no" Artemis said as she held Apollo "we have a child of Poseidon again" then she flashed away. Taking Apollo with her and Annabeth and Zoe both ran out from the infirmary and Annabeth ran to the Poseidon cabin to check and see if Percy had traveled there, but he wasn't inside. She went around the cabin to the beach in the back and saw him on the deck with his feet in the water.

Seemingly thinking about something, and then he was claimed by Poseidon but didn't react at all as it shown over his head. Then he dove into the water before Annabeth had even gotten a step onto the dock.

He sank to the bottom of the lake and the fish accompanied him the entire way down, and he talked to them using his thoughts. Trying to direct them towards the fish, and when it worked he tried to direct a 'hello' to Annabeth, but was disappointed as she didn't react, going still, looking down in shock, or looking around to see who had said it. So he just talked to the fish telepathically for the rest of the day, and then fell asleep on the lake's bottom. The fish realized that he must be exhausted and they dispersed and left him alone for the rest of the night, until the morning came, and Percy woke up to the slightest ray of sunlight coming through the water, and he shot up. He tread on the surface and looked at the dock to see that Annabeth had retired to her cabin, so Percy decided to look around for a bit. He saw that there were thirteen cabins, one for each of the Olympians, and one that was off to the side, a fourteenth that seemed to be neglected and devoid of life for many, many decades.

I wonder why that one's off to the side and not apart of the others like my cabin is? Percy asked and then he went to a bigger building than the rest. He went inside for a couple of seconds, and then left after petting the living tiger-head wall mount for a little bit, giving him a couple treats that he found on the counter and leaving. No animal should be living and stuck like that as a trophy. Percy walked around the cabins for a second reading the inscriptions on the top and then he got to one that was made entirely of silver and covered in a sort of field of energy. Percy unsheathed one of his twin swords and held it up to the color of the cabin. It was the same shade, and the power of the field and the power of the swords matched and hummed in unison.

Percy poked his sword into the field and it split enough to let him through, and then he found that there were bows leaning against the walls of the cabin, along with a quiver full of arrows next to each of them. Percy picked up a bow, and then summoned his bow into his hand and matched them, and his was the same silver, but with hints of sea-green and blue spiraling from the top to the center and to the bottom. He set the bow down carefully, and picked up an arrow, it was made of regular wood, but had a silver tip and silver tinted fletching. He put it back and made his bow disappear again. Then Percy brushed a hand along the walls of the cabin, and then it shocked him.

He pulled back his hand in surprise and wondered why it felt like one of those good, welcoming, and comfortable. Like it was welcoming him even before he was even meant to be there, and it confused Percy. He wasn't a child of Artemis, nor was he one of their very few male hunters that they decided to accept into their ranks. Though almost every male that they have hunted with was killed for some reason or the other.

Percy walked from the cabin and around camp for a little while longer, he found that there was a sparring arena, and an archery range. Percy went to the archery range first to practice his aim, his bow appeared in his hand as it sensed his intentions and wants. Before he started to shoot Percy went up to where he thought the targets were and ran his hand along them, getting a good mental picture in his mind of where they all were. The walk back to the range area was longer than it would've been if all of the targets were at the same distance, but they were at least a hundred yards apart from each other with the furthest being a couple football fields away.

He used his powers slightly to make sure that he didn't run into the range area and walked around to get to his place in a booth. Then he raised his bow and pulled back the string, and shot at the closest target that was angled five rows away, and a hard angle shot. Nonetheless Percy hit every target perfectly, even the furthest one away from the booths.

Then he used his powers to shoot, and he added a heavier tip on the arrows, and made the ice surrounding them denser than normal. But still got the center of the target the entire time, and not even needing to use his powers to keep them up or put them in a straight path through and against the wind to their targets. Percy whipped around and aimed two arrows at the person that was standing by and watching him, and they both sunk into the ground before their feet, and the person jumped in shock and surprise. It was Thalia, why was she even up, Percy looked around with his powers and realized that he must've been shooting at the range for a couple of hours, and didn't even notice that it was around the time normal people would wake.

"Sorry for startling you Percy, but everyone's going up to eat breakfast" she said before quickly scurrying away. Percy tossed his bow aside and it disappeared, and snapped his fingers liquefying all of the arrows that he'd shot into the original state that they'd already been: water. then he went in the direction that Thalia had gone and when he entered the building. Hundreds of eyes had turned his direction and everyone had gone quiet. Percy's ice-mask had immediately appeared in response to his un-comfort and he went over to one of the neglected tables in the corner labeled Poseidon in Greek and sat at it. A plate was immediately conjured to his spot, and the entire table was wiped of it's dust and webs, Percy thought about what he wanted to eat and a large steak with a side of a biscuit, mac n' cheese, and three blue cookies appeared on his plate. As well as the utensils that he needed to eat the meal with. his mask melted partially so that Percy could put food into his mouth, but keep the top of his face and his nose were still covered.

He had eaten two of the same thing, drank three blue sodas--Sprite and Cola, and had gone before everyone was on their first and a half plate. Chiron watched as Percy got up, sacrificed some food into the fire, not saying where they were going to because if they saw that he was sacrificing food to Poseidon and Artemis. They would've grown curious as to what Percy's intentions were.

Percy glanced at Artemis quickly and she was looking at him in shock, she had gotten the telepathic thanks, and was shocked that a male would thank her for healing them. Much less sacrifice food for her, since she hated men, and she was starting to believe that Percy wasn't like any of the other men that they group had met...and killed after horrid torture that no male should be subjected to. Then again what they did to women was also in that category, so it was justified, and necessary...at the time anyways.

He looked away before any of the other hunters figured out what he'd done, and he'd gone to the sparring arena for the rest of the day. First he practiced with his knives and all of the dummy targets were encased in ice to make them animated, and Percy started to slash, hack, and cut through them. Toying with them as he didn't even let them get a proper swing against him, and when they did get that satisfaction. Percy had changed his fighting style and stabbed them through before they could figure out another way to challenge his forms.

Annabeth and Artemis had came by and were watching him, and then he did something unexpected; He raised two giant wolves of ice that glowed with power, and then two lions with gleaming ice-fur.

😅 I'm sorry for leaving you for so long. I kind of forgot about this story for a while. One and a half years about, and I didn't even realize that I have had three drafts waiting to be edited and published in that long wait time as well. So I'm sorry about that.
Oh also as you have probably noticed, if you're rereading this, I have edited and redone a few chapters to make them a bit smoother and hopefully better too.
If you're new then thanks for reading and I will see you in a few.
