Chapter 3

"You're Perseus Jackson right" he said and the child glared "just Jackson (he shook his head), just Percy" the boy smiled and the teacher nodded in understanding "so you're blind and mute right" he nodded once again and there was a groan from the chair as the teacher sat back and she seemed to look at the other two and they her as they all had a mental conversation again. Percy put his head down and was asleep a second later, his ears still catching the slightest threatening noise.

Annabeth's POV

Once the kid was asleep my mother looked at me and Thalia seriously.

"Do you think he knows what he is" I asked and my mother shook her head.

"I couldn't tell, he might, but he also might not, though I'm wondering why nothing's come to attack him yet" she said and Thalia spoke up.

"Maybe his parents have hid him well enough from monsters" she said "or they kill them themselves"

"No I don't think so" I said and then he kids head shot up and he looked around tilting his head a couple times here and there, and then he got up and walked to the back right side of the class. Then he came up through the columns, and walked one foot, two, three, and then he stopped and looked out the window. He touched the glass for a second and closed his eyes, I went over and looked out with him.

"What do you hear" I tried to ask but he put a finger up in silence, and he stayed like that for a second longer before letting down his hands and glaring out the window. Then something unexpected happened, he jumped backwards into a desk and two one and a half foot long ice sword things came from his wrists and he stabbed them into the ceiling and pulled down, that part of the roof fell and the blades disappeared in a blink and he jumped down into the smoke of the desks that had been overturned and thrown around by something big. There was two quick flashes of light and then a screech of pain and Percy stepped out of the dust, patted himself down, wiped himself down, and jumped up and sat on a desk as he stare at the spot.

He motioned me forwards and when the dust settled there was Alecto, trapped to the ground with two daggers of ice in her wings and we all looked at Percy in shock as he just stare at the monster like it was the most boring thing in the world.

Then he frowned and looked at me, and he pointed at the Fury like 'aren't you going to do something about that' and I got over my shock, pulled out my knife and put my knee on Alecto's heaving chest and put my knife at her throat.

"Who sent you here? For who?" She smiled with her pointy teeth and pointed at Percy weakly.

"Sea scum has had a child and my master sent me to capture him and bring him down the Hades as insurance for when he raged war on Poseidon and Zeus for having forbidden children" she hissed and Percy just continued to glare silently "capturing him was my main priority, but getting you and the Zeus spawn would've been a bonus...and a few extra souls for dinner" she smiled evilly and then there was a short hiss of air and her body crumbled to dust. The ice in her wings turned to water and whatever it was that killed her had also turned to water.

I looked back to see Percy back in his seat with his head against the wall and his eyes closed, and I went back to my seat as well. Thalia has to change spots due to the broken ceiling and the monster dust having been too close to her seat. The nice thing about having Athena as a teacher is that we didn't have to move classes after the hour ended, and Percy slept through all three hours, and then lunch came.

We all got up and Percy was the first to leave, and I didn't even hear his steps, and I was the last out as I saw Athena snap her fingers and clean everything up, and I stood outside of the classroom as she locked up.

"I think that he knows what he is, who his real father is, and who we all are, even you" I said and my mother nodded and came to the lunch-room with us. Percy was sitting on the wall in a corner just watching everybody in boredom and he just sat there watching people like they were prey, and if I didn't know better I would've thought that he was the monster.

"What do I do about him" Athena looked at him and then me and motioned for me to go over and talk to him. I went over and motioned him to follow me, and then I mentally smacked myself as I remembered that he was blind.

"Come on" I said and he looked in my direction "sit with me and Thalia" he shook his head and I shrugged and walked off back to my mother.

"He doesn't seem to want to move, or go anywhere other than that spot" I said, and I looked at my mother, technically she wasn't supposed to be here, but she was 'undercover' as a teacher.

"How are we going to get him to camp, much less get along with others" I said as we walked or where Thalia sat, by herself. My mother sighed and we all looked at Percy for a second longer and then ate our lunch. The next two half-hours were just learning about the weapons and as we packed up to leave my mother stood and looked at us.

"Next week we are going to be clearing the room and using different weapons, how they used them back them, how to use them now, and how to fight with each one" she said and Percy tilted his head slightly at this and I figured out how we can bring him to camp. Once he left I went to my mother and told her my plan.

"We can go on a field trip" I said "Ed clearly interested in this chapter and if we end it with a summer stay at camp, since we don't need to be here at all, then we could bring him there with no problems. We'd still have to contact his parents about it, but they probably already know about the camp, having raised a demigod and all"

My mother smiled and nodded "that would work, but we'd still need to keep him occupied, content, or satisfied, and keep him from quests, and hope that there isn't a prophecy about him" I nodded and the trip was planned for three weeks from now, a day for a weapon from the past on the first week each day, a weapon from the present each day of the second week, and the chance to make a last weapon during the trip. Well planning it for the last week, but forging them during the camp stay.

That should keep him busy long enough, but I looked at the ceiling where Percy had torn Alecto from above with just his hearing, and like it was a walk in the park too, no fear in his actions, just...boredom. I really hoped that he hadn't heard our plans, because if he did then we'd be screwed, not to mention if he doesn't know. Having to tell him that he can't come home because of the dangers of being a Demigod, and withstanding his reaction to it.
