Chapter 2

For the next three years Percy mastered his abilities. He could freeze the water into any shape or size, he could form anything and control anything made of water: the ocean, dirt, rocks, and creature. The one time he controlled a creature was also his last as he used its own blood to make it walk into their house. When his mom and dad got home they saw a deer in their living room doing nothing, but it's eyes were wide with fear, and Percy had heard them come home and he showed them what he could do.

He made the deer go upstairs, grab his things with its mouth, he rode it for a little while, and his mother gasped in shock and horror as he broke its neck, legs, and spine. The father was also horrified and Percy looked at his parents and he saw them looking at him in fear and horror and went crying to his room.

"Honey I know you can hear me" Sally said as she got to his room upstairs and the shadow got bigger as the child moved to the door to listen, and show that he was listening. His mother told him that he was never to do that again and after many I'm sorry's made of water, and I won't do it agains She made him promise to never do that again unless "absolutely needed".

They made Percy apologize to the dead deer, crystallize it in and ice-coffin, and bury it ten feet below ground. Percy hadn't needed to go to school until around thirteen due to him excelling I'm pretty much every subject, and when he was made to go to school due to his parents not wanting their son to have no friends. Even they had friends, though not needed unless in the grimmest of situations, they still had a few friends, and they wanted Percy to make some as well. They send him, a thirteen year old boy, who would've been in 7th grade. They made him skip two grades and become a freshman in high school. They told him what he was to do if he was ever bullied—not use his powers or his skill, but just take the hits, insults, and other things with deaf ears, and a numb body...he couldn't feel any pain anyways so that didn't matter.

The next week his parents had gotten his stuff ready for school and Paul called the school to tell them that they were coming to enroll a gifted student. When they got there, after running pretty much the entire time...for ten miles. People looked at the parents strangely judging what they were doing with their youngin, and there were whispers as well, but the couples' glared shut up everyone that they passed.

They weren't even sweating when they reached the school, and it was because Percy was using his powers to keep their bodies cool as they ran. They went into the office and the lady behind the counter looked at them, and the child in interest and shock as to why there would be another underage kid enrolling in high school.

Percy walked around using only his hearing and when they got into the principals office he looked at Percy with interest and sighed as he stood.

"I'm glad that you chose to put, uh—"

"Percy" Sally said

"Percy, huh, well I'm glad that you chose this school for your young prodigy" he walked around and shook everyone's hand startled to find that the kids grip was strong despite his size and look.

"He'll be the third young high school prodigy here, along with two others" he said "one names Annabeth, and the other Thalia who I was surprised as to how she even got into this school" he made a small snort and then gave Percy a couple of papers. Percy looked at the man like he was crazy.

"These are just to determine what grade you'll be in and what classes you'll have" he said looking at the grade 12 tests "and if you pass those then you won't have to take any regular classes here, but the advanced ones that the other two are taking"

Percy sat down and took an hour to answer the twelve placement tests, and when he handed them in they were flawless and perfect.

"Technically you don't even have to go here, but that's up to you to decide" he said leaning forwards on his computer as he put in A's for grades 9, 10, 11, & 12 "do you want to go here young one"

The child nodded and the Principal gave him a list of four classes before lunch and one elective class after lunch.

"You have three hours before lunch and if you choose one or two elective classes after lunch" the principal said and Percy's parents looked at the list and Percy regraded his papers as they got a second to memorize his classes, and the child circled two elective classes: weapons history—which would be pretty pointless for him to learn about, and forms of torture—which was also something that he knew all about, but the child didn't care to choose any of he other boring classes.

"What a coincidence" the principal said "I might as well have the other two show you around, or you might as well follow them around because you have the excavation same schedule as they do"

Percy shrugged and hugged his parents before heading to his first class using his earthshaking powers to measure the school, determine the exits and entrances, points of weakness, and where everyone was, all the classes there were, which teachers were lazy, which ones weren't, and the two younger kids in their first class for the day—Greek Mythology.

The child herd his parents say that Percy was blind and mute and the principal was shocked that he answered everything and seemed to be looking directly at him. All his parents said was that their child was incredibly gifted and told the principal to tell their teachers and the two students that Percy was taking classes with, and then they left.

Percy went to the class and the call came in as soon as he opened the door, he tilted his head and heard the breathing of three people: the teacher, Annabeth—who Percy felt was assessing him, and Thalia—who Percy noticed was looking at Annabeth for what to do.

The teacher of Greek Mythology was shocked as Percy could feel, but it wasn't because of a third student coming into their class, as was the two other students, and Percy walked down the rows of desks and sat in the back left corner of the classroom when looking towards the back of the room. The room was silent for too long and the three seemed to be having a conversation in their minds about Percy, he found feel their attention being solely on him.

Percy made two vambraces of ice on both of his wrists with a blade of ice sheathed inside and a spike-gun mounted in the top of them as he waited for them to make a violent move towards him. But they didn't, and their mental conversation seemed to end, they were still taught and stiff as if they knew something that Percy didn't but the two turned to the front and the teacher stood.
