The sun hit different this morning, but the sun definitely looked deceiving. Apparently the temperatures outside have dropped completely, anyone would think winter has come ever so early. I sigh and feel the headache emerge under the surface of my skin.
I roll my eyes knowing that I have to get up, there's no choice about that. Plus I promised I'd take Elijah and Olivia to see their mother.
I sit up slightly and then decide to get up fully– allowing the coldness of the floor boards to send chemical signals to my brain as a warning that it's so cold. I slip on my fluffy socks and make my way down stairs with my headache. I hold the banister for support and make my way to the kitchen.
The mansion is silent and peaceful, no one else is awake surprisingly. I walk to the fridge and pull out a cold bottle of water, the colouration of the bottle has changed as the temperature is so overwhelming. I searched for some tablets but couldn't find any, that only frustrated me more. I curse under my breath as I search harder to attempt to get rid of the headache.
"Looking for this?" I turn and find Elijah holding a small box full of medicines of all kind.
"Thank you." I say and take the box out of his hand, unclipping the lid so I'm presented with different tablets, but none are what I'm looking for.
"Fuck." I mutter again and suddenly feel the frustration creeping upon my face again. I'm yearning to get better and get rid of my un-convenient headache.
"What's wrong?" Elijah asks sweetly, not understanding my frustration one bit.
"We don't have what I need." I sigh in defeat and suddenly give up looking, I clip the lid back on and put the medicine box back in the cupboard where I should've looked in the first place.
"I'll go up to the shops." I look at Elijah and suddenly feel shocked, I'm not sure why as he's always been so caring towards his sister.
"That would be great, thank you." I release a small smile and gain one back in return, I open up my bottle of water and bring it close to my lips, allowing the water to flow along my tongue and down my throat, leaving me feeling satisfied. I turn to look at Elijah who has taken a banana from the wooden bowl on the side of the counter. I watch as his muscular back is suddenly tensing.
As if he was reading my mind he replies, "Finish looking?" He turns to me and stares down at me from his tall height.
I sigh and try not to make eye-contact with him, but it's impossible. His brown eyes are still full of so much mystery. I don't know what he's thinking, nor do I want to know... Do I?
"I'll get dressed and take the bike to the shop, or the pharmacy." I nod and thank him once more before he leaves the kitchen.
"Elijah wait!" I hear Max shout Elijah's name from the back door and emerges behind the wall and becomes face to face with Elijah and I decide to leave. Run upstairs and get myself changed.

I turn once my name has been called and realise it has been called by Max, I stand and wait for anything he needs to say but he stays silent for a little while until he breaks it with his voice.
"You're coming clubbing with us later." I look at him and can't even remember the last time I've hard a large amount of alcohol let alone hang out with a large amount of people.
"Not happening." I add and begin to walk off but feel his sudden hand pulling on my arm, forcing me to turn around and face him. I look at him sternly and wait for what else he needs to say to try and persuade me.
"Why?" He simply asks.
"Because I need to be here for Olivia, I can't keep ditching her. We're in this mess together." I huff and watch as his aggression begins to show, I feel his sudden weight push me against the wall and him grabbing me by the shoulders.
"Mess? What are you calling a mess?!" He said through his teeth, almost growling. I roll my eyes and shove him off of me but he comes back to try for more.
"Fuck off Max." I say sternly and feel my aggression rise, I need to calm down otherwise things will definitely get messy.
"No tell me what you mean, you dick!" He shrieks causing a massive scene and people running towards us, no one is pulling him off of me and I refuse to use my strength to do so. This will not end well at all.
"Look, you were there at the wrong time, we do what we have to do, kill people, don't like it? You should've never been at that café!" Max shrieks and I push him off of me, making him land on the floor, gasps feel the hallway, no one is sure what to do until Max's fist collides with my jaw. But I don't retaliate.
"Max!" Liam growls and pulls him off of me, I watch as his father pulls him away and pushes him into the garden, as far away from me as possible.
"Fuck off the lot of you, it's not a show." Liam stares at everyone and they all suddenly become scared and flee out of the room.
Liam comes close to me and pats me on the shoulder.
"You alright buddy?" Liam raises his brow and asks. I nod slightly, I'm definitely fine but I know things would've turned out so differently if I had thrown a punch back.
"I appreciate you not retaliating to my son, he's not in a good shape clearly, I'm sorry if he said anything out of proportion." Liam announces, thinking it was Max's fault, in theory I said what I said and Max didn't like it.
"It's what I said, Max just didn't like to hear it." I admit and he stares at me with no emotion in his eyes, he doesn't care, he's not angry and he has no adrenaline to throw a punch at me like his son did.
"No worries Elijah, just keep your head up, he is a handful but he's very defensive when it comes to his sister, I heard slightly what was going on but he shouldn't blame you for being there, it was in a public place for fuck sakes." I chuckle at the amount of poor language Liam is using, there was nothing that could be more amusing right in this moment.
"Maybe if you do head to the club tonight and let your guys' hairs down you might be able to be on good terms again. It doesn't take much for men to be civil or okay with one another." I agree with his words, with males it doesn't take much for us to let things blow down and settle. Things will be alright later, maybe clubbing is what I need. To have fun and not worry at the moment about anything, Olivia will probably be upset but I'm hoping she'll be okay with me with the decision I have made.

I have made it back from grabbing the medicine and leave it outside of Jayden's room after knocking on her door, I find my way to Liv's room ready to speak to her about tonight.
"It's fine Elijah, it'll be nice to see you go out and have fun!" She exclaims and gives me a large hug, wrapping her small arms around me. I chuckle and return the hug.
"Are we going to see mum now?" Liv asks and eyes up the doorframe where I turn and see Jayden standing with her shoes on.
"Yeah." Jayden answers for me and Olivia runs to get her shoes on and when she is ready she smiles and grabs one of her reading books. 'Romeo and Juliet' in my opinion the book is dreadful and doesn't represent real-life. Well, maybe in some aspects but not all.
We all make our way to the car and take a seat, I direct Jayden to the right ways to go and we are off, passing trees, street lights and traffic lights. Olivia smiles as she looks out of the window and Jayden's eyes are focused on the road ahead.

We finally park up the car and are presented with a small building, it looks cold and poorly looked after, Elijah balls up his fist and knocks on the door lightly, I heard about the commotion this morning and am glad I didn't go down the stairs to witness anything, I'm thankful that Elijah didn't fight back, he proved he's the bigger person. But comparing Max and Elijah it's not very difficult to see who is more caring to everyone. Don't get me wrong my brother is caring but only because I'm his sister.
We are welcomed in by a nurse who is dressed up very professionally, we turn left and Olivia and Elijah head in to their mother's room while I stand outside not wanting to get involved in any situation what so ever.
"Jayden?" I hear Olivia's sweet voice pull me aside as she stares at me with a smile.
"Yeah?"
"Come in with us?" She replies and my stomach turns, I nod and slowly walk inside and am revealed with their mum laying on her bed attached with wires. My heart sinks and guilt consumes me, I feel awful...
"Elijah, is this your girlfriend?" Her mum uses her croaky voice to question him, I lightly chuckle as Elijah replies to her.
"No mum, this is Jayden. A—" he takes a deep breath, "–A friend." He adds and looks at me, I throw a small smile at him and he smiles back, revealing his dimples.
We talk for awhile longer until it gets later and later and its now the afternoon, the weather has changed slightly and has become more cloudy. Elijah and I stand next to the doorframe as Olivia reads out lines of her book to her mother.
Romeo and Juliet has never been a good book, a couple dies. But it creates a high amount of reality in some aspects. Two families despise one another and would do anything not to see each other, but their children fall in love, it's almost too good to be true, just like life is. Good things happen and bad things tear people apart, like death did when it came to Romeo and Juliet's love story.
We all head back to the car and make our way back to the mansion, the drive isn't long which I'm thankful for. Unluckily for me I'm getting dragged out clubbing with the boys and Lillian, which isn't what I wanted to do at all, but it is what it is.
We all go into our separate rooms to get changed and I instantly rummage around in my closet to find something to wear.
Tonight can go one of two ways... Good or bad, do I know which one it'll be? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
