It was midnight and thankfully my sister had fallen asleep on my chest on the sofa, she wouldn't say a word, she decided not to eat nor shower. All she wanted was to dress in her joggers and jumper and fall asleep on me. I have failed to protect her, she has witnessed a murder, that no one should witness, especially at such a young age. I've failed as a brother.
I sigh and turn the TV off and carry Liv to her bed, I tuck her in and allow her to rest up. I take myself to my room and undress myself until I'm in only boxers, I hide my body away in the cotton sheets where the guilt raises and consumes me.

Thankfully I'm woken by the breeze of fresh air that has made its way through the tiny gap from the window, I don't usually keep my windows open but from the troubles of yesterday my body was all hot and clammy. I woke up with sweat running down my forehead and traveling down to my chin. I wiped the sweat away and took in a deep breath to face the day.
I got into the shower and turned the knob, I allowed the cold water to travel down my body and ease my muscles, the memories from the alleyway encounter my mind and cause my muscles to tense once more, I hold the bridge of my nose and sigh. I decide to cover my body in wash and splash the freezing water over my face to wake myself up more. Luckily it worked.
I wrapped the towel around my body and dried myself off with its cotton texture. I dressed myself in my white vest top and my black shorts, I didn't want to do much today and I doubt Olivia did either.
"Elijah?" My sisters soft voice echoes through my eardrums as she notices me sitting on the edge of my bed, she strolls over and sits next to me and rests her head on my damp arm.
"Yeah?" I ask and look down at her and watch as her forehead frowns along with her lip.
"I want to go to school today, I won't tell anyone what I saw." She said, pleading at me, she released a small smile from her lips and I felt bad instantly, I didn't want her to feel as if she had to go, because she really didn't, I would've happily let her stay home and watch Netflix all day, well... After homework was completed that is.
"Are you sure?" I ask her and raise my brow, she nods and I nod along with her, accepting what she wants. She smiles and runs into her room to probably get changed.
I decided to throw a buttoned shirt on over my white vest but leaving it undone, letting the air breeze around my body.
I get on my black boots and head near the front door waiting for Olivia's arrival, a few seconds went by and she was wearing her black cottoned leggings and her blue jumper she had wanted for ages and I decided to buy it for her. She smiles at me and holds her black backpack securely and exists out of the door allowing me to follow and lock it behind us.
We travelled to my silver car and listened to music while we drove to Liv's school. I parked as close as I could to the entrance to the school so Liv could run straight ahead and not worry about facing loads of people, I could feel her anxiety in the car before she left, I felt awful for her and felt as if I had forced her to go to school. Even though I wouldn't have minded if she had the day off with 'sickness'. I sigh and turn the car out of the car park and drive to a different café which is close to my home.
I parked the car and walked up to the café door, I opened the door and the tiny bell at the top rung to allow my presence to be seen.
"Hey there!" A woman said, she had pink long hair and brown eyes, she smiled at me and waited for my response.
"What can I get you?" She said and waved another smile at me, I sighed as I gazed at the chalk board with all sorts of drinks written across it.
"I'll have the large coffee." I said with a smile.
"She said you'd order that..." Her voice went quiet, but I heard exactly what she said. Confusion engulfed my body as I wasn't aware of what was going on.
"I'm sorry?" I said and cocked up my brow, but the pink haired woman raised her finger and pointed to the corner of the café, where there sat a booth and a dark figure.
"Go find out." She said and walked away, I walked closer and closer to the booth but each step I took made my body feel cold and unsure of its self, I didn't know what I was doing or why I was doing it. But I guess I was about to find out.
"Mr Elijah Johnson." The voice came from a female, but their whole face was covered head to toe in dark clothing, confusion took over my body once more and to how she knew my name, she turned to look at me and all I saw was her captivating sapphire orbs.
"How do you know my name?" I said in demand, I usually have a lot of respect for women, for people in general... But not when they murder someone right in front of you, as well as your fifteen year old sister.
"Take a seat." She demanded and I released a sigh, I had no idea what this was all about, but I couldn't help but obey to her orders.
"I think there's something you want, no?" She unmasks her face which reveals her pale complexion. Her bouncy blonde curls threw themselves out of the dark hood.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked and raised one of my brows.
"Well, your mother's ill is she not?" She smirks at me. Why is she smirking? My blood boils but I try to keep myself cool.
"You look like you need your coffee, take a drink." She says and pushes the large mug towards me with her pale hands. I look up at her and all I can picture is pure evil. The atmosphere changes and it suddenly feels silent. I look around the café and most of the customers have already left. They acted as if they knew who this woman was and decided to pack their belongings and run. I'm not even sure to why I'm still sitting opposite her.
"How did you know my name?" I demand and her eyes roll in annoyance.
"I know a lot of things about you Elijah, hence why I think you will be useful." She smirks and stares at me with her orbs that are also smiling, I sigh and allow her to continue.
"I believe you were a doctor, no? Well I need you to come with me." Shock takes over my body and my blood boils more. I stand up out of the chair and tuck it in before I start to walk off, I take once small step but I'm then stopped by her demanding voice.
"I'll give you money, I know that's what you need." I turn around and watch as she acts innocent and stares out of the window.
I walked up to the table and placed my hands on the table and looked at her.
"I don't want your dirty money." I huffed and stood up and crossed my arms one over the other.
"I can find you, if you turn this offer down." She smiles at me showing her white teeth, but I'm annoyed and frustrated.
"Offer?" I huff and stare into her soul.
"This isn't an offer, this is a deal. I won't take it either, go find some other doctor." I roll my eyes and watch as she stands from her chair, she isn't that tall, shorter than me that's for sure. But she sure is stubborn.
"Don't go run, I'll find you Elijah." She warns and all I do is walk away, out of the café. I get into my car and turn the key, allowing the engine to come to life. I try and get home as quickly as I can to get away from the amount of questions that are swarming my mind. Who is she? How does she even know who I am? How does she know my past life? I suddenly break as I realise I'm at a red light, I reach for the passanger side and take a drink of my water before the lights go orange to green.
I park my car in my driveway and lock my car up. Opening the door seemed like an effort, I'm tired. Drained in fact. I wish we never went to the café that day, it was all at the wrong time, wrong place. Everything was wrong. I lock my door and throw myself on the sofa letting out a sigh of relief.

I wake up to the sound of a van going off outside of the window. I rub any sleep out of my eyes and try to allow them to adjust.
My eyes gaze all over my environment and I soon realise the sun has darkened. I look further and look at the clock on the wall, portraying it's time 'twenty to four' I sigh until realisation hits me.
I bolt up off of the sofa and run down stairs, locking my door beforehand but reaching my car.
I travel as fast as I can as I try and be careful to not pass any red lights.
I finally make it to Olivia's school, but don't see her anywhere, she usually sits on the bench if I ever run late. But she's nowhere to be seen. I get out of the car and begin to search for her around the school.
I must've walked around the block several times looking for her, until I spot a pitch black range rover with the driver staring straight at me through the wind screen.
