Awase's POV

          I woke up with a slight headache, probably because of the wall against me since ut technically wasn't a comfortable wall of the cave. I opened my eyes slowly, just to see that the weather cleared up and that it wasn't raining anymore.

It seems that it's morning however it's still dark, the sky still having the color of blue and orange yet the light can still be seen.

I looked to my side and saw Yaoyorozu still sleeping on my shoulder, but it doesn't seem that the surface of this cave is bothering her which was good.

She looks so peaceful sleeping.

          However, I am starting to wonder how I'm gonna get out of this position. I don't want to wake her up and all, but I still need to prepare breakfast for her and I before we get going.

My bag was just a few steps away from me, but it didn't seem that far. I just feel like it would still be a bother if I just suddenly stand up and not know how Momo will sleep if I'm not her pillow.

I held Yaoyorozu and carefully got myself out of the cloak. I then slowly placed her head down laying on the hard surface.

I quickly grabbed my bag and her bag before I rushed back to the princess. I quickly checked if there were anything sharp or hard objects inside so I don't hurt her. Luckily there weren't so that was a relief.

I lifted her head a bit and slid her bag underneath so it can act as a pillow for her. I then fixed the cloak and placed it back on Yaomomo's body to keep her warm.

It's a good thing she didn't plan on wearing that very revealing armor. Otherwise, I'd hust be closing my eyes the rest of the travel.

          I sighed in relief, knowing she hasn't woke up. I opened my bag and checked to see what I can use for our breakfast. The place that I want us to go is still a bit far....unless we take the shortcut...

No no no!!! The shortcut is scary and the last time I was there almost killed the crap out of me!!!

But....Yaomomo might want a crazy adventure once in a while. Although, will she like it though?

Yaoyorozu then yawned and I turned to look at her. Her hair was a bit messed up but no doubt did she still look beautiful to me.

"Good morning, princess." I greeted her.

"Good morning, Yosetsu." She yawned again but still smiled sleepily.

"Do you wanna have sandwiches for breakfast? It isn't much but it will keep us away from hunger." I said.

"Sure! I don't mind."

Time skip...

          We just finished having some sandwiches for breakfast and we were off once again. Which reminds me, I should probably ask her now.

"Princess, I have something to ask you."

"What is it, Yosetsu?"

"So this place that we're going, is still a little far, but I was thinkung we'd take a shortcut ti get there." I started.

"Oh, that's alright! I'm okay with shortcuts."

"Buuuttt there's a catch. The shortcut to get to that place....isn't the best. But...if you're the type of person to go on some crazy adventure, then we could go." I said.

Her eyes then lit up one excitement, "Yes!!! Let's go there!! I love crazy adventures, Awase!!"

I chuckled, "Great! Then I hope you'll get your sword ready."

"Yep!! I have it right here." Momo shived her hand into her bag and grabbed a small object that looked like some kind of small box that had a button on it.

She then pressed it and the blade of the sword appeared.

I was in shock, "....THAT'S WHERE YOUR SWORD WAS?!?!"

She nodded happily, innocent that and oblivious that I was just frightened about it.

"Okay then."

          We then soon took the route of the shortcut.  I was kind of getting scared, but it was fine. Best to face your fears, am I right?

The sun was now really showing it's light as we walked through the thick forest with puddles coming along the way. Literally.

"Oof!!"

The princess started to burst into laughter because I fell on my butt when I slipped on the puddle.

"S-Shut up, your majesty." I scowled.

She was trying to hold in her laughter now and replied, "S-Sorry..it's just...t-that was too...f-funny!!!!"

She begins to laugh once again as I playfully rolled my eyes and stood up. I was relieved to know that my cloak was the one that got all the dirt when I fell and not my actual pants.

"Are you okay though?" She giggled.

"Yeah yeah I'm alright. Let's just move on." I said.

          Momo was still giggling from that fall but I didn't care. As long as she was all happy, then I am too...I guess. Plus, I want her to laugh for once.
