First Kiss
Y/N's POV
This is so nerve wrecking! After Yoongi's sudden flirting my mind went overdrive. It is a known fact that I liked, no! Correction I love Yoongi.
So for him to do that winking and calling me names other than Maki turned my head into an over imaginative space. I wasn't able to sleep peacefully as that scene keeps repeating on my head.
The sun appeared itself as I looked out the window, a groan escaped my mouth. Sleep didn't visit me the whole night. While my anxiety decided to stay overnight. I was looking for the perfect clothes to wear that I ended up making a mess.
"Morning swee-," My grandma started but quickly gasped when she saw me and my room.
"What happened?" She asked me. Her wrinkles appeared as she bent down to my level.
"It's..." I paused then took a breathe as she looked at me attentively. "...we're going on a date." I whispered as I expect grandma to smack some sense into me. But she did the complete opposite.
"Really? Oh mg gosh! My baby girl is now all grown up!" She practically jumped like a kid as she squealed. My grandpa rushed towards my room and busted the door open.
"What happened? Come out you rascal! Are you guys okay? Did he hurt you?" He blurted out while looking at every corner like a madman holding his shotgun.
My eyes almost fell out of its sockets. This was hilarious and worrisome at the same time. Before my granpa could attract attention I quickly approached and hugged him.
"Grandpa nothing happened, it's just grandma being over reacting." I tried to calm his nerves because his blood pressure might rise. Granpa always loved my hugs, I discovered it when I was a kid, he tried to chase those naughty kids outside the field that time. And to stop him, I hugged him and he completely melted and calmed down.
"Why? What's going on?" He asked me us as he looked back and forth between me and grandma.
My grandma just rolled her eyes and approached us, "Just chill old man! Our little Y/N is becoming a grown-up now."
At that I quickly let go of my grandfather and got back to rummaging through the clothes. The embarrassment taking over me.
"What are you talking about?" He asked her curiously. I can feel their gazes penetrating my back.
At that my grandmother got back to her crazy self and I felt her took a deep breath before dropping the bomb, "She's having her first date!" She squealed once again. This time I buried my face in the clothes and just wished they would just and talk without letting me hear it.
"Really? And who is the unlucky, I mean the lucky man?" He let out an amused chuckle before joking half-heartedly.
"Papa!" I whipped my head and looked at him incredulously. Sometimes it makes me wonder if I'm really their grandchild. Because the way they tease me was sometimes way off-guard. They always told me that it's because I don't look like mom. I just reminded them of how my dad didn't pulled out of mom.
Actually they're not mad. They were just disappointed in how I happened. They had high expectations for both of my parents. Which they didn't failed to achieve. The only problem was how they neglected me. My grandparents really wanted me to grow up with my real parents, because they always believed that every child should have a whole or at least a nice childhood with their mom and dad.
But it didn't matter because in my opinion as long as grandma and grandpa is with me, I am complete.
"It's Yoongi sweetheart." My grandma cooed as she held onto my grandpa's arm with dreamy eyes.
"Oh? It's about time." He replied as he raised his eyebrows and glanced my way.
"I know! And I'm rooting for them." My grandmother gushes like a teenager. Sometimes it makes me wonder how they stayed like this for years. How youthful and full of love, despite their simple life.
"I'll support you kids, just don't be reckless like your parents." Grandpa looked at me warmly as a genuine smile made way on his face. My heart swell at how they were so supportive of me.
I approached them as tears started to well up in my eyes even before I could hug them, "Yes papa, mama I love you guys so much. I'll miss you. But how did you know it was Yoongi?" I asked as I eyed them curiously, the question lingered in my mind.
"Silly girl, we knew that you're smitten for each other from the start." Grandma answered.
"Besides, you don't have any other friends. If it happens to not be him, I'll not let you go." Grandpa added as he looked at me with a wide grin.
I looked at him surprised, I was about to question him but grandma pinched my nose, "Don't be sad! You'll be back before you knew it." She tried to change the subject.
"Yes I hope so. Yoongi was also upset when I informed him." Which was successful since I answered and forgot the double meaning of what my grandfather said.
"Of course he would. We're upset too, but we understand that they want to make it up and treat you for your past hardwork." He reasoned as his grin got bigger.
Before I could ask, grandma pulled me out of the room, reminding me of the reason she entered my room in the first place. "Anyway, breakfast is ready let's eat."
Timeskip
It was afternoon when Yoongi arrived. He was so adorable, he wore the matching Converse that we both had. We got it as kids and it was filled with memories and doodle that we both made. Paired with a blue ripped jeans and red and black checkered long sleeves, a black round neck underneath.
I wore a denim jumper dress with a lavender top underneath, together with the shoes that he had.
"Shall we go mademoiselle?" Yoongi playfully asked while he gestured to the Chinese bike that he rode on his way here.
"Yes my good sir." I played along and gave him my hand.
Before I could sit Yoongi pulled me to his chest. He held my waist, my whole face heat up as I looked everywhere, but he just chuckled and wrapped a cloth in my eyes.
"It's a surprise my love, just listen to my voice okay?" He whispered huskily as shivers ran down my spine.
I nodded and carefully sat on the bike. As he started to move, I felt the cold breeze touch my face. The peaceful atmosphere and quiet surroundings helped me calm.
I've been in the city a few times but it still wouldn't compare to the place where I grew up. Yes it was advanced and everything was accessible, but silence and nature was very rare. Besides, people weren't as friendly as the locals here.
But mostly because Yoongi won't be by my side. I almost depended my whole life with the man beside me. He was my everything just like how my grandparents were. I wasn't as ambitious as my parents, if becoming a farmer was my destiny, I would gladly accept it. As long as my loved ones are beside me.
"We're here!" Yoongi announced as the bike came to a stop. He removed the blindfold and it took me a few seconds to adjust.
As my eyes regain vision I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at him, "It's just the barn?" I asked, we stood in front of their barn. A few meters away from their house. This was unexpected. I thought we would go to an ice cream parlor or whatever.
Yoongi's POV
Shit!
She hated it!
Earth take me now please!
I sheepishly scratched the back of my neck as I saw her face drop. I thought she would at least be excited to see what's inside but apparently her mind was somewhere else. I took a deep breath before speaking.
"I'm sorry but I don't have money, I can't take you to movies since I might just sleep in. I don't have money for any five star resto so... I just made something homemade." I ranted while looking at her. I was on the verge of crying if ever she would decide to walk out.
But I was wrong, at the word "homemade" her eyes lit up and she looked at me curiously.
I exhaled a breath I didn't know I was holding in and reached her hand, "Do you want to see it?" I asked hopefully.
She nodded her head vigorously and intertwined our fingers. As I led her inside, her eyes sparkled as she took in the surroundings.
I decorated the whole place with fairy lights. At the middle was two haystacks with cloth cover and a long table infront, it was supposed to be a makeshift dinner table. Beside it was my TV and a makeshift sofa that was made of hay, pillows and layers of blankets. It was comfortable if I say so myself.
"What is this?" Y/N asked as we reached the table. It was filled with different foods that I knew was her favorite, together with three unrecognizable cakes.
"It's food," I answered nonchalantly and stuffed my hands in my pockets.
"I know it's food. I'm asking what are these about? Why are there three cakes? Did you bake these?" She asked as she looked at me smugly. She knew my baking skills wasn't top notch. But at least I tried.
"It's for your birthday, my birthday and our anniversary. I just want to celebrate it with you, I don't know when you'll be back so I tried to make cakes since I don't have money to buy them." I whispered as I pointed at the black velvet, chocolate cake and oreo cheesecake that wasn't exactly looking like how they were supposed to be.
I closed my eyes and expected her to laugh at my cheesiness and failure as a baker, but it never came. When I looked at her, she was silently crying while looking at me. I was about to ask her what was wrong but she launched herself at me and hugged me tightly.
"Yoongi... I-I love you," I was totally caught off-guard. As I looked at her she leaned in and kissed me deeply. My eyes went wide, but I quickly melted under her touch.
She was squeezing my stomach tightly while her face was mushed in mine, our lips are locked as we kiss. It was a clear hard smack. Well, what would you expect with two inexperienced teenagers. As I moved my hands and held her back she unexpectedly gasped. I took it as an opportunity to slid my tongue and brush her lips. After that, her eyes went wide and we broke the kiss.
"W-What was that?" She asked me while a blush crept on her cheeks.
"A kiss?" I answered innocently.
Her eyes narrowed, "But you used your tongue?"
"I read that you should use your tongue when you kiss." I shrugged as I answer. It was true though, I read it was called French Kiss.
"Ohh... Okay," She hesitantly replied while looking at me weirdly.
I felt the air become awkward so I pulled her to one of the haystack, "Come on let's eat."
She looked at the food and back at me again, giving me a warm smile. "I really appreciate it Yoongi."
At that, my insides felt warm, just to save myself from blushing madly. I let my cocky side take over. "I know, this is one of the reasons why you should marry me." I commented as I winked at her.
Y/N rolled her eyes when she answered, "Who said I wouldn't?" Her cheeks turned pink while she bit her lips.
Cute
Luckily the cake tasted good, even if it looked horrible. Y/N ate all the food that I made. My family left and will be back by tomorrow so I begrudgingly cooked everything with my own hands. Y/N was impressed once again when I told her about it.
In all honesty, I knew she loved homemade things, so I got the idea of making our own advance celebration rather than going out. It was hard to think when will she get back. Y/N was my life, my energy, she was my everything. It pains me to know that I'll wake up and realize she's not gonna go out of their house because she not there.
"Are you alright?" She shook me gently, her doe eyes looking at me.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm okay." I replied breathlessly. She acknowledged my answer but stayed silent.
Silence enveloped us for a while before Y/N spoke again, "Yoongi, will you promise me something?"
"What is it?" I asked then turned to her.
Y/N bit her lips before she spoke, "Will you be my first and last just like how I wanted to be yours too?" She fiddled with the spoon, anxiously waiting for my answer.
"Of course Y/N, I promise, but before that I want to ask you a question..." I told her as I stood up, it was now or never. She followed my every move until I kneeled in front of her.
"I know this will be rushed, but will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her, as I took out a black velvet box, a ring inside it, infront of her.
She gasped as she looked at the ring, tears started to flow from her delicate eyes, "Yes, Yoongi yes! I would be glad to be your girlfriend!"
A wide smile spread from my lips. I was afraid she would reject me, but I was happy that she didn't. With trembling hands I placed the ring on her finger. As she appreciated the ring, I took out my hand and shown her mine.
"It's a couple ring, with our initials engraved inside." I proudly announced.
"But isn't this expensive?" She looked at me, worry etched on her face. The last time I saved money, I fainted right before her eyes.
"Yeah, just a little bit. I saved my allowance for this. It's also one of the reasons why I can't take you out." I looked at her apologetically. I was a little bit insecure honestly. But I tried my best to make her happy.
"Aww thank you so much Yoongi, how did you plan all this?" She smiled as she took a spoonful of the cake.
"Uh.. This was supposed to be our plan for the holiday. But you're gonna leave so I pushed it earlier. I was supposed to court you. I'm sorry." I told her sincerely. Although I'm happy that she said yes I was also worried that she might think that I had the idea that she was easy.
"No, it's okay. I'm also sorry that I won't be able to spend my vacation with you." She answered as she smiled sadly.
It went silent for awhile. We could continued to eat, but her eyes landed on the TV, "That's working right?"
"Of course, why?" I asked while I shoved a spoonful of the sweet in my mouth.
"Let's watch a movie." She hurriedly finished her part and emptied a glass of water.
"Come on, I thought you'll never ask." I stood up, then drank too before wiping my mouth.
I gave her a list of movies I had. She was skimming through it, "Uhm Yoongi, you know that was my first kiss." She referred about her abrupt smack. Her cheeks going any deeper than crimson.
"I know and it was also mine. You know what? I just realized it's the first of our first." I informed her as we sat down.
"Yup, you're right." She agreed, eyes still on the list.
"Y/N?" I asked as I scooted closer to her, who was still immersed in the list.
"Yes?" She answered and looked up. As soon as our eyes met she noticed our close proximity. But nobody dared to move. Our breaths mingled for a moment, heartbeats loudly pounding on our chests.
I made the first move, leaning closely. My eyes trailing to her lips before going up to meet her eyes again, "I want to be your first man?" I declared but it came out as a question.
She grinned as she answered, "Of course you will be." Then she leaned forward to close the gap.
Our lips met again, but this time it was with love and fervour.
(A/N: So far this is the fluffiest chapter or story rather that I've ever wrote. It made me think? Should I shift to the fluffy side now? I mean? I did good right? Writer's block is still with me but I'm struggling to overcome it. Together with my cramps. On another note, have you watched BTS latest speech on UN Assembly? It really was inspirational and made me cry a little bit. I love how the boys reaches out not only to ARMY but to the whole world, they're really doing their best to ease our situation. I love you guys so so much also to my lovely readers I love you too! Take care. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜)
