Doral was still a few hours away and the sun was already falling so Keith decided to stop for the day.

He ordered 2 of his knights to find a plain flat place to stay for the night. After a few minutes they returned and led the group to the area.

One of the Flinger twins and some others went off to a nearby stream to catch some fish for their dinner. 

By then everyone was doing their own thing so Keith decided to study the map more in the tent he brought and built up himself.

There were so many kingdoms but he knew most kingdoms wouldn't appreciate him and his knights searching through their properties.

Other kingdoms didn't allow outsiders and had very secure places that nobody would be able to get into so Keith saved those as last choice if they didn't find the kidnapper by then. 

Doral was one of those kingdoms that welcomed visitors to their unique aqua land and had places that certain people could hide in so it was top of the list.

He was so deep in thought that he didn't know that dinner was ready until one of the knights called him out.

He sighed and put away the map and walked out of his tent.

There was a fire in the middle of the logs they collected to sit on and the fish were roasted on it.

Most men were finished so there were only a few left which Keith guessed were slow eaters or late comers like him.

He sat on an available log and picked up a roasted fish on a stick to eat. What he didn't notice was that the short boy was seated across from him.

Katie was slowly eating the roasted fish she got when Keith sat down across from her.

She gasped internally and hid her face hoping he wouldn't notice her.

He had seen her eating just a couple of months ago so there was no chance she was gonna eat in front of him again.

Thankfully he was too busy looking down so she was able to quickly finish the fish and get up. As she was about to leave, he spoke a command.

" Stay." He said and Katie gulped and sat back down.

He craned his head upward to look at the stars and they sat in silence.

Finally Katie cleared her throat and he looked at her.

" I'm sorry for making you stay." He said and mumbled the rest out, " I just needed some company." 

She nodded understanding the feeling and looked up at the night sky.

" Beautiful, isn't it?" She spoke up, her confidence suddenly rising and he looked up again.

" Yes." He breathed.

" We should appreciate it while we still can." She said again and he looked at her through his dark eyelashes understanding what she meant.

" Why did you want to come on this trip?" He asked, " It could mean death.." 

" I know." She said and didn't say any further.

When Keith saw that she wouldn't say anything else, he started another topic.

" You know, you remind me a lot of someone that I can't see anymore." He said with such a sad tone that Katie flinched. 

" I hope you find that person again." She said regardless of who she thought the person was and got up to go to the tent she shared with Theo.

" Thank you." Keith said quietly into the night after she left.

And just to make things clear, the days  in the story aren't the same as in real life so I hope you won't get confused.

Anyways our school had decided to close down for the rest of the year and I'm pretty bummed about it. I also do not want to get involved in having online classes.
