Katie couldn't stop staring at Keith every now and then on the way to the dining room.

' The Prince treated me to dinner on my birthday..' She thought endlessly as she glanced at him, ' He talked to me and shook hands with someone like me..'

She was so busy in her thoughts that she bumped into the back of Theo when they arrived.

" Ow.." She mumbled to herself and rubbed her nose and then looked at the dining table. 

The room itself was practically glowing and with the Princess in it, it glowed even more. 

Katie couldn't stop gaping at the Princess.

Her silver locks were tied up in a braided bun and she wore a beautiful midnight blue dress. Her smile shone as bright as the sun and Katie felt a twinge of jealousy.

What if her father and brother didn't get kidnapped? Would she have grown up to be as beautiful as the Princess and afford one of the most expensive dresses?

Katie shook the meaningless thoughts out of her head.

' I'm not a girl right now, I can't think about things like this.'  She thought to herself sadly, ' What happened already happened.'

Theo nudged her and snapped her out of her thoughts.

" Let's go." He said softly only for her to hear and she nodded and followed him to their spots.

She looked across the room and spotted Lance and Shiro in their spot behind the Princess.

Katie smiled and nodded at them and they nodded back with small grins.

Her stomach rumbled loudly as the chef brought the main meal to the table and revealed it as ' Roasted Beef Tenderloin.'

Theo chuckled silently beside her and Katie's cheeks grew red.

' Why didn't I eat before I came?' She thought to herself and hid her face from the Royals and her fellow knights.

                                                  ***

Keith's brows furrowed in worry when he heard the boy's stomach growl.

' He hasn't ate yet?' He thought but Allura called out to him,

 " How have you been doing?" She said in her soothing voice.

" I'm fine. How about you?" He asked back and she smiled widely.

" Thank you for asking. I feel great now that I get to see you."

He didn't answer to her and just nodded and kept eating. Allura pouted to herself because Keith never answered her back whenever she tried to flirt with him.

The baker, after a few minutes, brought out the dessert which was small cakes and cookies and before he took away their previous dish, Keith sneaked a few pieces of meat and small cakes onto a clean piece of napkin and stuffed it into his coat pocket.

" Thank you for inviting me to dinner. Good night Keith." Allura said to Keith and curtsied and he replied,

" Of course, good night."

They separated to their own rooms with their knights with them and as Keith, the boy, and Theo approached Keith's room,  Keith went over to the boy and put the warm wrapped napkin in his palm. He then said good night to the both of them and went into his room.
