Lance and Keith both froze when the boy slipped on the rope he was depending on and was about to fall back down.

The boy quickly thinking caught another rope and reached the top with his fingers again.

Keith sighed of relief and was surprised that he wanted the short boy to win. 

Lance growled under his breath when the tall man pushed the short boy again but harder this time.

The short boy got his cool back quickly and reached for the top again.

The other man was growing tired so he didn't push the boy anymore so the boy climbed onto the top of the wall, jumped down on the trampoline, and ran the whole way to the finishing point.

The directing guard blew his whistle and the boy collapsed of the searing pain from his legs.

Lance and Keith both walked out of the door quickly to meet the men who tried out. Lance made his way to the boy immediately while Keith walked to the cheater.

" You know, cheating was not an option on this test." 

The man narrowed his eyes on Keith and frowned, " Who are you to tell me that?!"

The guard came over and scolded the cheater, " Watch your tongue, this is the Prince you're talking to."

The cheater stammered, " T-the P-prince?"

The guard flicked his forehead, " Didn't you hear me!? This is the Prince so watch your mouth around him."

Keith grimaced to the cheater and walked to the other contestants to remember their faces.

Katie didn't even bother to sit up when she heard footsteps coming her way.

" That was one heck of a show you made." 

Katie sat up quickly, " Lance?! Why are you here?"

Lance smirked, " I might have forgotten to mention that I live in the castle."

Katie's mouth fell open and Lance chuckled, amused.

" So you saw the whole thing? Why didn't I see you?" Katie asked scratching her head.

" Well I only saw the second part of it and you probably didn't notice me because you were too busy trying to win." Lance answered, smiling at her.

Katie grinned back at him but caught a glimpse of a person with raven hair and dark eyes with the rest of the men. She squinted to see farther but shook her head when she didn't see him again.

' Eh, I must be seeing things..'
