Katie took a step back as the boy put his hood down. 

Surprisingly he was quite good looking with black ebony hair and stunning dark violet irises. 

Katie found him familiar though they had never met before.

" That must have hurt a lot..." Matt said and winced as Keith scoffed making his face redden more.

" Anyways why were you running?" Katie questioned the boy.

Keith knew that he couldn't reveal his identity to them so he tried to make up a reason.

"Uh.. I.." He stammered trying to think of his explanation.

" Mullet's over here! " Lance, the maid's son said and ran over to him.

Keith growled at him and Lance smirked, " I told you, I would be your worst enemy."

The rest of the servants ran over to the bread market and startled Katie and her brother.

" There you are, young master!" The butler said, " Let's go back, I'll make a fine meal." He winked and Keith gave up running and responded, " Okay." They then went back to the castle.

Katie raised a brow, 'This boy's rich?'

Lance noticed Katie and Matt after the crowd went back and seeing a pretty girl, he aimed his gun hands at her.

" Sup girl, the name's Lance." 

Katie's reaction was to scrunch up her nose and Matt narrowed his eyes at him, telling him to back off.

Lance got the message and walked away after sending her a wink. After he left, Matt and Katie finally bought their bread and walked back home.

" But father! Can't I at least visit my people once in a while?" 

" I'm afraid that's not possible son, danger lurks everywhere even in here." The king told his son calmly, " But I suppose I could give you a chance. You can visit outside for a day each year." 

Keith knew he would still be staying in the castle for 364 days but he was thankful. A day of freedom without anyone looking out for him or following him around like dogs.

" Thank you father! I will prove to you that I can protect myself from the dangers!"

And ever since that day, Keith had knife and sword combat training every morning.
