Damian POV

After leaving the barn I just walked, I had no real idea of where I was going this place was vast, Mark wasn't kidding when he said it was in the middle of nowhere. Eventually I had come across a little bench and decided to take a seat.

I know Leah will be worrying right now but I just had to get out of there. I couldn't think straight and if I had no left I'd have hit him and caused a scene which she had asked me not to do. For some reason that jackass is hell bent on ruining things for us and I don't now if can take much more of his shit.

"Well you weren't easy to find" a deep tenant voice says as I feel some one sit down next to me "how are you holding up?" He asks

"I really don't know" I say shaking my head "just the thought that she could've............it hurt that bad I couldn't breath, like some one had cut of my air. She......she's everything to me and I've given her every part of me"

"Trust me when I say I understand how you felt" he says "damn near destroyed me when I discovered Leah's mother's affair, but my little girl.......she's not like that, she loves you and I know that for a fact"

"You do? How?" I ask

"I can see it in the way she looks at you" he says "she looks at you like your the only person in the room, her eyes sparkle, her face lights up and she can't take her eyes of you, you have her heart and she's trusting you to take care of it"

"And she has mine" I sigh "you know I saw her with Cody once and I had my suspicions but she swore they were just friends"

"And they are, they grew up together, they are like brother and sister" he says "don't let his lies taint how you feel about her, deep down you know none of it's true"

"I know I just didn't know what to do or say" I say "I realised in that moment that I can't live without her by my side, my life is worth nothing without her, I need her with me always"

"I know we didn't get off to the best start, it's not easy accepting that your baby girl is all grown up and you have to share her with someone else" he says "put you proved me wrong and I can see how much you love her and I trust you with her. If you're lucky enough to be having a girl you'll understand one day, they only hold your hand for a short time but they hold your heart for a life time"

"As long as the baby is healthy I don't mind what we have" I smile "thank you for coming to find me and for talking some sense into me, how was she when you left?"

"Upset, worried about you, wondering where you'd gone" he says "let's get you back up there and back with your wife" he says patting my shoulder.

Leah POV

I had no idea how long I had been crying in Michelle's arms but I just couldn't stop, the flow of tears was never ending and I can't begin to explain how much the thought of losing him hurt.

"He'll come back Lea" she soothes "your dad will make him see sense"

"He's my world Michelle, I can't be without him" I sob "I don't want to go back to a life that doesn't include him"

"Your not going to" she says "he just needed a moment, I promise it's going to fine......I mean I wouldn't want to be him if it's not" she says making me chuckle

Just then the door creaks open and I turn to see my dad standing there with a soft smile on his face. Before he has chance to speak Damian steps out from behind him, I jump up and run straight into his arms. He holds me close and kisses the top of my head as I bury my face in his chest.

"I'm sorry for walking away firefly, I just needed a moment" he says softly "can you forgive me?"

"That depends on who you believe?" I ask looking up at him

"My wife of course" he smiles "your dad made me see sense, I love you so much, I know none of it's true, please forgive me firefly"

"I forgive you" I say "but I swear I didn't get him suspended"

"Well it wasn't me" Damian says

"Don't look at me" my dad says "I stayed out of it like you asked"

"It was me" Cody says walking into the room "Your dad and I were talking the other day and he filled me in on what happened, I couldn't let him get away with hurting you and almost taking something so precious from you, I never meant for this to happen though"

"I know and I appreciate you looking out for me" I say

"Damian" he says looking at my husband "I promise you nothing has happened between me and takerette, she only has eyes for you any one can see that"

"I know man and thank you" Damian smiles "so how do we take care of this asshole?" He asks looking between my dad and Cody

"Oh I'm sure between us we can figure something out" my dad smirks
